Review for Oklahoma City Bathroom Remodeling

AHandyman Matters Of Oklahoma City
They were great. Peter made really good suggestions about the design and pointed me in the right directions to purchase the tub, tiles, shower glass and faucets. They were prompt and very professional. They pointed out problems that arose and offered various solutions. I am very happy with the new bathroom which is much more functional as well as looking nice.

CSQUARED AWAY HANDYMAN SERVICE LTD CO
Damage to the bathtub that the worker, Sam, reported to us. He tried to fix it, but the fix failed. Ted came out and looked at the tub and said it was a cheap tub and that it was probably that way when we bought it. My husband is a plumber and Ted acted like my husband either did not check the tub before installing it (and he certainly did) or it was damaged to begin with. He the same as called my husband a liar.  He offered us 100.00 for our trouble. The caulk around the tub was terrible. Sam asked me what color and as the grout for the tile was light gray I chose light gray. It was not light gray, but was dark gray and looks terrible.  We had lots of issues with contacting Ted and him returning calls.  Of course Ted wants to make it right now that I posted a not so good review. No thanks. I don't trust anyone who would the same as call you a liar.

We're pleased with the work done by Repair Pro. My wife actually worked as the overall contractor. She had the ideas she wanted for the remodeled bathroom. She planned the work to be done. And she purchased many of the bathroom fixtures. Repair Pro really worked well with her. And we are pleased with the final product. We now are planning for Repair Pro to replace our deteriorated deck, replace one length of yard fence, and paint the house. This shows our confidence in the work by Repair Pro. If we have any complaint at all it is just that we won't be able to get this extra work as quickly as we had hoped. But we can live with that. I would highly recommend Repair Pro for most any house repair work.

AWater Boy's Plumbing
Chad has taken great care in servicing all of our commercial, farm and residential plumbing needs since 2008.  He has seen us through 2 homes, and 2 different commercial buildings.  He has rerouted plumbing, remodeled bathrooms, installed water softeners, new pressure tanks, new hot water tanks, new gas lines, amongst the many numerous "I need you here now" emergency phone calls to fix leaks and other plumbing drama's.  He has never failed us, has always been prompt and dependable, and best of all....his pricing is very fair and he provides you with a detailed bill.  So you know exactly what you being charged for.  A++++++

AHandymen R Us Inc
After missing the first appointment for an inspection/estimate, everything went well from there.  (And gave us a gift card to make up for the inconvenience of missing the first appointment.) They were professional and friendly, came when they said they would and kept work cleaned up much better than other handymen we have used.  They were careful with our home and listened well, providing suggestions since we didn't have much experience with remodeling.  The target due date was met, it took about 3 weeks - 1 week for the majority of the work with an additional 2 weeks for delivery of the shower walls. They removed all construction debris when finished. They did need to return to add more paint to walls and they came promptly and cheerfully. The price was very close to the original estimate.  They found some minor, unexpected plumbing repairs were needed as the work progressed, but explained the cost before proceeding. We are pleased with their work and used them again in November 2011 for some more minor jobs.  We will use them again.

FLeo L Taylor Construction
There were major communication problems from the beginning. It was a design build type contract and the details were fuzzy. I had asked to quote mid range fixtures, but when we signed the contract we said that it was total was below our budget and we would want to upgrade some items, which we would pay for. He was supposed to be there when I got home from work the first day, and I went straight home, even though I had errands to run, but he wasn't there. He was there the second day. I said I didn't mind that he did other things, but to let me know that he wasn't waiting for me so that I wouldn't rush straight home. He never did and I stopped worrying about it. if I had errands to run, I did. He tried to change the basic bathroom layout and I didn't like what he proposed and told him. He later took offense and accused me of changing my mind when I was discussing the pros and cons of another change he suggested. I told him to do it the way it was drawn. He was supposed to be done by Christmas and we are no where near done. Before Christmas we said that we would be going on vacation and he said he would be breaking into the wall between the bedroom and the bathroom and do the electrical for both rooms. We cleaned out most of the bedroom, he said we could leave the bed and he would move it out and back and we gave him another installment. He didn't do much while we were gone, but we had what I thought were a few good discussions the weekend of Jan 15, picking out fixtures and we even went down to the tile store to pick out trim tile. We had picked out the base tile several weeks earlier, he didn't particularly like the accent tile my husband chose, but I thought he was going to make it work with the additional trim tile. The next week I sent him a few e-mails, the first about the tub fixture, the second was proposing that I pay directly for corian countertops and order the toilet online, since both of these were upgrades, and the money that he was going to spend on those items be applied to the faucet upgrades. He did not respond. He did not answer any of my calls or e-mails since then. We went through two snowstorms and I didn't expect him to do much work during that time, but I did expect him to contact me. We got a hold of the plumber who requested the plumbing inspection and he said that Lewis Taylor was mad at me for trying to be the contractor and wasn't coming back. My husband left him several more messages and he has not even bothered to tell us he quit working. The plumber tried to mediate for us but finally told us that Lewis would not talk to us.
