Recent Review: Tried to leave at 10:00 am and found that the door would not open because the torsion spring had broken. Called Affordable Door Company. I was told that they could have and quot;Calvinand quot; out by noon and that they would call as soon as he was on his way to our home. This was great as I could not leave the garage as the vehicles were locked in by the closed door. I was also quoted a price of $159, about $75 cheaper than the first company I called and was told that they could not be out until Thursday! Just as promised, Calvin called however, he was about an hour earlier than they thought. Fantastic! Calvin arrived, assessed the situation and began to work. He had the spring replaced and the garage door opener tension reset by noon! Calvin was very pleasant and professional. I will not hesitate to contact them again in the future when the need arises. I will also recommend them to my family, neighbors and friends. I'm so glad the first company could not do the job.

Recent Review: The guys were very professional and thorough during the home inspection, but did not come at all on the day of the insulation project.  The crew that arrived was very friendly and efficient and went the extra mile to make sure they cleaned everything up behind them.  They did an excellent job for what they knew to do, but without the guidance of the guys that did the initial inspection, they missed two key areas.  I had the guys come back out for a follow-up thermography and we found where the crew had missed those two areas.  The crew came back out and within 10 minutes they had the revisions completed and were cleaning up.  We have not noticed a difference in our power bill despite the assessed 30-40% proposed savings.  The house is definitely warmer and definitely more quiet.  The garage is consistently 60-70 degrees without any heating.  I would definitely have these guys back to work again.   They were prompt, courteous, clean, professional, and more than willing to satisfy!  Thanks!

Recent Review: The spring on my old wood garage door broke over the weekend, trapping both my cars inside (since I wasn't about to try lifting the old door manually without the help of the spring). I called Rick Barksdale at 8:30 Monday morning, and he returned my call within ten minutes, and came out within about an hour to lift the door for me so I could get my cars out. I had already decided to replace the whole door and the opener, as the door was rotting, making scraping noises, and the remotes did not work well. Rick agreed that was best, but he did not push me to buy anything fancy; he recommended a basic insulated steel door and a chain opener (the cheapest kind), saying he could make the chain drive pretty quiet by using vynil wheels, so he didn't think there to be much advantage to the belt or screw openers. I asked about higher-end options because of the quality of the neighborhood we live in, and he agreed that having steel on the inside as well as the outside of the door would be sturdier and look better. He gave me a belt drive for the price of a chain drive. We chose a color from his samples, he called a warehouse, and came back and installed the door that very afternoon. He was going to run the wires from the safety sensors across the ceiling to the opener, but I asked if he minded me running them up into the ceiling and through the attic instead to keep them out of sight; he worked with me to do that, even though it proved trickier than I had expected. He and his son were pleasant throughout, and when they were done everything looked and worked great. I gave him a tip in appreciation of his helping us out so quickly, and his being willing to accomodate my request about the wires.

Recent Review: After being dissatisfied with another contractor's response to the hailstorm damage to our residential property, we turned to RIDGID CONSTRUCTION and were quickly impressed by their professional service. RIDGID's Project Manager, Mr. Robert Bartusevicius, proved to be what we needed in terms of thoroughness of his inspection of the damage, his attention to our questions and concerns, and his determination to make sure that all the damage was repaired correctly and in a timely fashion. When RIDGID's restoration was completed, our property was actually improved in construction and appearance from what it had been before the hailstorm. We are happy to recommend RIDGID CONSTRUCTION without reservation.    Steven J. Paulson      On May 29, 2012 a damaging hail storm hit our house.  Much damage could be seen throughout our neigborhood and in a widespread area our close by neighborhoods. My husband called our insurance copy in next morning . They sent out a roofer the next day for inspection and he patched open areas and said he only does roofs, and I said, "But what about the gutters, the 2 dented and discolored garage doors, the circular garage vent laying in the driveway, the torn up double window, the beaten up tool shed , and the white polka-dotted fence-what about a home inspection for damage?"  I was dissatified, I was upset, I was mad, I was crying! I called our insurance to find help. To  find that my claims representative that had assigned us the day before was off for 2 weeks, soooo after recalling our insurance, they told me that I could pick out my own inspector and workers, that they had over 4,000 calls that day for our area and all of their inspectors were busy. I said, we were one of the first to call-they would send out a home inspector -ok, she came within 2 days-good, but all she did inspect the house and estimate damages. Again, I was told by her and my insurance that I could call a contractor. I've had major adbominal surgery, GI problems, retired, and medically exhausted. I got on line (which is most irritating), checked Better Business Bureau, licensed contractors in my area of Oklahoma, the numerous post-cards and info that the damaged areas were recieveing, the yellow pages and reviews. I decided to call RIGID Construction, a locally owned business with an excellent reputation. Robert Bartusevicius quickly returned our call and visited on June 22, 2012. He listened to my upsetting story, he did his thorough inspection and estimate. We had a new roof and new vents by the 29th. Through heat up to 108 degrees we soon had New gutters, new 2 insulated garage doors and handmade ( because of it size) circular vent, sealed and painted  (including garage doors' trim and vent), new tool shed, window damage replaced AND most of all peace-of-mind.  Robert was a knowledgeable, professional project manager. He kept us informed of the plan , and when workers would be there and they arrived on time and finished it a timely manner with Robert checking frequently on their progress, I had no worries. When another upsetting storm, came damaging the partially constructed new tool shed, the next day Robert, was in our back yard with 2 new workers taking down and replacing with another new tool shed, and it was completed that day. Our phone calls, were answered quickly and with courtesy.  The the replacement products on the roof and under the roof, the garage doors, painter, vents, and fence-were all top-notch. Thanks for an improved and safe home and the piece of mind. Our project manager explained our contract and plans and Rigid handled our discount information need for our VA discount, they gave us a discount on our roof, an gathered and faxed all the extra information that our home mortgage company and our insurance company wanted. Relieving us of many headaches. Rigid Construction is top-notch.   Nancy Paulson

AH & H GARAGE DOOR
I originally called H&H to check out my old garage door opener.  When the technician came out, he determined that the motor was bad and needed to be replaced.  He did not charge me for the original call.  I was impressed with that so I called them again when I was able to replace the opener.  At the same time, I had decided to insulate my garage door and install weather stripping around it.  When they came out to replace the opener and install the insulation, the technician found a major split in my garage door.  He called my attention to it and explained that if he insulated it, it would not support the added weight for more than about 6 months.  I was again impressed, because he could have went ahead and installed the insulation and then I would have had to replace the door in about six months anyway.  I decided to replace the door with one that was already insulated.  I checked around and found that they had the most resonable prices on the new insulated doors and they were able to match the color of my old door exactly.  I have used them a few times now and have always been impressed with their professionalism, promptness, prices, and friendliness.  I wll be using them again for sure.

We asked Danny to come out and help us restore a sagging garage roof along with some other items that we needed done. The project went great. Danny was very punctual when he came out to give an estimate. Danny was upfront on current projects he was working on, but scheduled us in. He arrived when he said he would. Danny removed all the old sheet rock in our garage. Danny advised when he took the sheet rock off there might be issues not contemplated and he found some garage supports and electrical wires that needed to be replaced. Danny was always up front and asked us what we wanted to do before doing any new work. The sheet rock was replaced on the walls and ceiling in the attic, we had insulation placed in the walls and ceiling. New lighting with new garage door openers. Danny did a GREAT JOB. We will be using Danny for projects in the near future. I would not recommend Danny unless he did great work, and he did!!!
