Recent Review: Ryan did a fantastic job replacing our worn out shower stall with a much bigger and better custom tiled walk in shower. He demolished the old one, repaired damaged wood/walls, and built the new shower from scratch. He constantly kept us abreast of his schedule, happily answered all our questions, asked what 'we' were looking for in a shower, and helped us understand what configuration would work best for what 'we' wanted. Still very happy with it almost a year later. He's a very personable guy who obviously takes pride in his work. The contrast in the quoting process was dramatic. He kept asking us about what we would like to see done in the bathroom and discussed approaches and options to get what 'we' wanted. Bigger company's tried to spend way too much time talking about themselves rather than what 'we' were looking for.
Recent Review: Jesse and his guys were teriffic to work with. He was extremely flexible from estimate through job completion. I decided that I would provide all materials and do the painting. He provided me with a list and amount of materials needed and offered suggestions regarding everything from design to quality of materials to be purchased, but only when asked. He and his guys were always on time, always courteous and professional, and respectful of our home. The remodel was estimated for 5-6 days and lasted into the eighth day, partly due to my not having some materials when needed. The rest of the extra time was due to Jesse's insistance on making the tile and plaster patching look perfect (for which I am very grateful). We plan on remodeling our kitchen in the near future. After this experience, Bath Factor will be the only call we'll be making.
Recent Review: The people doing the actual labor were prompt, polite, and knew what they were doing. They did a wonderful job of keeping my home as clean as possible during the entire process. They did a good job of completing the shower work so that it would blend with the rest of my bathroom walls and fixtures (ceramic tile and wood) and not look like an afterthought. They also took great care to not damage the rest of my bathroom which I appreciated. There were several problems that came up on the second and last day of work--things that are part of any job and were unexpected--but the regular staff sent to complete the job was able to adapt and solve all of the problems. I was impressed that they met the problems without outbursts or blame--but that they thought through the problems and solved them so that we got the result that we wanted.
Recent Review: This construction was done to our complete satisfaction. They said it would take three weeks and they did exactly that. I was asked my opinion and everything was discussed during the work. We were able to choose what was going in the room and how we wanted it.The finished room turned out beautifully and we are thrilled. This company was very professional, did everything they said they would and also did extra things they saw around the house that needed to be fixed. We would highly recommend Contracting & Design to everyone. that wanted work done. The person in charge of our project (Dan-O) was obviously skilled and very knowledgeable about all our of work.. We are very happy with our experience and this company.
Recent Review: Geoff provided a design that gave us the look and storage space we needed to revamp both our bathrooms giving us a bigger shower and larger tub. He did all the work himself and completed the project in a timely manner. We have been very happy with the results and are enjoying our new more up to date bathrooms.
Recent Review: First I came upon this company by mistake. I had set up several contractors to come by and give quotes. One of the contractors asked me had I been out cabinet shopping and of course I told them I had been to Lowes and Home Depot but didn't see anything I wanted. I really didn't want any of those types of cabinets. I wanted someone to build my cabinets. He told me about Colonial Kitchens. He said they are not far from you and they have very nice displays there. Go there and take a look.. Well I do exactly that as soon as he left, didn't know if they where open on a Saturday or not. I find the place and low and behold they where open. So I walk in and this very friendly guy greets me , may I help you. I tell him I'm looking to have my kitchen redone and how I stumbled upon them. He asked who was smart enough to tell you this. Of course I wouldn't disclose that. I was looking around and saying to myself this is the type of cabinets I want. They have a very nice showroom. I saying to myself, can't afford this, they are going to be way higher than those guys that came by who have pre-made cabinets. So Mike at Colonial Kitchens starts talking to me asking what I wanted and I told him something like one of the displays they had. I say to him this kitchen display is about the size of my kitchen can you tell me about how much this would cost me. I knew he couldn't tell me an exact price but wanted to know if I could possibly even afford them. So Mike smiled and gave me a quote and he says you know this is just an estimate I would need to get true measurements. He said they would be glad to come out and get measurements. He says you need to talk to Brain and here he come now. He introduced me and told him why I was there they laughed, because another contractor told me about them. Well Brian gives me a full tour of the place where the actually build the cabinets. Wow! I was amazed, I said I'm hiring these guys if they come in my price range. We set up the appointment , they came out and gave me a quote and it was well within my budget and was close to some of those contractors that had the pre- made cabinets. They got the job! They gave me a start date and stuck true to it. They where in here on Monday ,11/28 and out by Friday 12/02, a week. These guys had every aspect of the job lined up and was on time. They never took lunch breaks, hard working guys. I have a beautiful new kitchen for the holidays. I never met such a nicer group of guys to work with. I have already recommended them to my boss, he's looking to have some bathroom cabinets done. They come highly recommended by me.
The unique thing was that he was recommended by our home inspector. Scott was working on home with my wife being pregnant and after the baby was born 1-2 months and was very considerate while in the home. The level of work he completed was good and good with working around the things that would come up. Very meticulous as a finishing contractor and very knowledgeable with working with 100 year old home. We had him in our home almost everyday and felt like he was part of the family. Scott was very meticulous about cleaning up after every day.

Had to call provider after waiting two weeks. Provider came and looked at bathroom, made comment on what could be done to remodel bathroom. Didn't hear from provider for another 2 1/2 weeks. 3D drawing ended up being an illustration on what could be done to remodel bathroom.

Covered our old cast iron bathtub with very nice acrylic; covered the bathroom walls that had '60s pink and gray tile with wainscoting that matches the bathtub; installed our new toilet and vanity/sink which we bought to save money. Had a minor problem with the tub spigot, which they fixed the day after I called them and reported it. Overall, we had a very good experience with them, and other than being expensive, they were great. But you get what you pay for . . .

I had a great experience with Elite Plumbing. My bathroom had to be completely redone and quest plumbing replaced. Pricing was excellent, not inflated at all. There were quite a few delays on my part and they were patient and understanding through it all. Customer satisfaction is obviously their priority and I cant say how much I appreciate it. They even referred me to another flooring contractor when the one I hired did not work out. Frank and Dave were wonderful in explaining everything that had to be done; Frank even offered to get the supplies for me. I would never choose another plumber, thanks guys!

AWolak Interiors LLC
We are very pleased with our new floor and the service we received from Wolak Interiors. They met us for an estimate and then started work that same week. The installer was very friendly and professional. Mr. Wolak stopped by periodically to follow up on the work being performed. Both easily answered any questions we had. I will definitely use Wolak Interiors again in the future and feel confident about referring them to other potential clients!

AEMAC-Eagle Masonry And Concrete
Once again, Chris Castellano and his crew from Eagle Masonry did a wonderful job for us. They were punctual, professional, the cost was very good and my daughter is thrilled with her new remodeled bathroom. I will continue to use this company for all of my home repairs and improvements.

CR A JONES INC
His estimate came in the highest of the three. When I told him this he said it was because he knew what he was doing. I ended up going with Kitchens and Baths on E Mellen St in Phoebus, Va. The cost was less than the JA estimate and I got more for my money-such as a totally tiled shower and bathroom floor,

FR & R Home Repair & Remodeling
I?m pretty sure he skipped paying Angie?s List on this one. Got an estimate based on just remodel of shower and tiled floors throughout the house. When I went back and measured myself I found that Rick had grossly overestimated the square footage for the job (by at least $1000). The job was supposed to take two weeks, but he kept firing different guys that were here, and eventually stopped showing up. I had everything but the tub faucet finally done (or redone when subpar workmanship was constantly pointed out) by the end of August (THREE MONTHS) instead of two weeks. I paid him the balance after he promised to reorder the faucet for the tub (he was complaining about losing money on the job because of all the redo?s ? big mistake. He?s disappeared and will not respond to my calls. Nice guy, but terrible work ethic.

AJerry Harris Remodeling
Our remodeled bathrooms are absolutely beautiful and I am very happy with the quality of the work. Mike Martin, our Project Specialist was a true professional. The quality and Mike's work and commitment to excellence was first rate. Like everyone undergoing a remodel, we would have like the work completed faster. Mike worked without an assist the majority of our project which was part of the slow timeline.
