Reviews in New York Tristate Area to Repair Fiberglass Showers
ACAVORTI PLUMBING & HEATING
We had a leak from our 2nd floor shower. It had been incorrectly installed. Previously, we had 2 different plumbers work on it with no success. We thought we would have to replace the entire unit, which would entail tile work, etc. We tried Dennis Cavorti and to our surprise, the leak has been eliminated. He also reinforced the floor below the unit from the ceiling on the 1st floor. This helped by reducing the flexing of the shower base. I highly recommend Dennis. He saved us a lot of money!

AMr. Resurface LLC
I contacted Mr. Resurface after reading favorable reviews here. Ernest returned my call immediately, went over the details of my particular job, and supplied an estimate. It seemed reasonable...several hundred dollars less than pulling out the existing one piece unit and installing a replacement, which would have been multi piece and seamed, several thousand dollars less than building a new shower and tiling. The existing unit was an ugly blue, and this process allowed us to change the color to white to better integrate with the bathroom upgrade we were doing, We made an appointment for about a week later. Ernest showed up right on time, and was done in about 4-5 hours. The results were outstanding, imo. A very glossy finish, somewhat textured, very clean looking. The job was cleaned up well, and instructions were carefully given as to care and cleaning. After installation of a new shower door it looks brand new. One thing to remember: the material that is sprayed on SMELLS. Ample warning is given verbally and in the pre job instructions that were emailed, but the smell was pretty noxious for 24 hours or so. Other than that, no problems and we plan to have Ernest do a similar shower in our playroom bath later this year. Cost was exactly as estimated, plus $45 for a non skid additive for the floor. Works great.

AAmerican Bath Company
They left without re-caulking an area but they will be back sometime this week to repair it. I haven't had any bad experiences with them so far.

Diego noted an imperfection in the shower stall after he was finished. He insisted on returning to repair it. He inspired such confidence and trust that I paid him in full after his initial visit. He returned as scheduled and redid what needed to be redone. Diego and his helpers are very neat and clean up well before leaving. It is also worth noting that he and his crew have the most pleasant dispositions and are genuinely eager to please.

ABee & Jay Plumbing & Heating
I called and was given their price structure ($135 for the first 45 minutes & parts. $33.75 for each 15 minute period after that, and I would receive $30 off because I found them on Angie's list.) In the past, my husband & I would take bets on which one of us was closer to guessing the amount of plumber's bill when it arrived, so it was great to get that information right up front. I was given a choice of a morning or afternoon appointment the next day and was told that the technician would call me with an arrival time. Al, the technician, called the next day and said he would be arrive in 20 minutes. 20 minutes later, he and Tim were at my door. Because several attempts to have the leak fixed over the years resulted in the advice from another plumber that we would need to replace the entire fiberglass insert (the entire shower stall), I was concerned they would tell me the same thing. Al & Tim sized up the job, had everything they needed on their truck (no trips to Home Depot) and were done in a little over an hour. They were professional, courteous, efficient and they fixed the leak! I was e-mailed a bill the next day and was given the choice to pay via credit card or check. This was my first use of Angie's List and it could not have been a more pleasant experience. I've raved about Angies List and Bee & Jay to several people already, one who has asked me to send her the information to contact Bee & Jay. I'd use them again in a heartbeat and would recommend them highly.

AWalter Remodeling Services Inc
Walter was a pleasure to deal with, he was timely for all appointments, does excellent work. I had Walter address various repairs that were needed in the house including; patching and replacing sheetrock ceilings, painting the effected areas, painting a fiberglass shower, plumbing and replacing 2 sets of outside steps. All was done quickly and with excellent results. Walter provided a reasonable estimate for the work and stuck to it. Highly recommend.

AAll Bright Tub and Tile Refinishers
It went very well. David provided an honest assessment before he started the work, recognizing that the tub's condition was really quite good and so all it needed was to have mold and soap scum removed and the tub polished. So he did a great job and it looks lovely now. Fine quality. He also helped remove the fiberglass shower door and helped me install a shower rod and now I have a shower curtain instead which is great! So job accomplished!

AMC Home Improvements and Construction
Everything went very smoothly and efficiently. They were very punctual and arrived timely each morning to continue the work to completion. Communication was nothing short of excellent. Whenever we had questions or considered making changes we had a response almost immediately. We particularly liked the fact that they were very careful to protect floors and the adjoining bedroom from dust and pieces of debris. Both my wife and I had cause to be away from the house on one particular day and we felt confident in trusting them to have a key to the house so that they could work without disruption. I'm very happy to say that that we were not disappointed and I would have no reservations about entrusting them to work without someone being home. In short, we now have a beautiful customer shower enclosure and we only await the glass people to make and install the surrounding barrier. I will be tearing up and installing a new deck on the house this spring or summer and will hire MC Home Improvements once again without hesitation. Truly a class outfit with quality work in mind. I've already decided that when I replace our deck, I will hire them to do the demo and installation.

ACSC & Son LLC Home Improvement
I have had a few estimates and run-ins w/ contractors with much hesitation and trust. I found this contractor on AngiesList. I never knew of/or met Darrell before this project. I was very happy with his level of professionalism, craftsmanship, and knowledge. I find him to be a very honest contractor and kept me abreast each step of the project as it happened. Darrell completed the majority of the work himself with help of an assistant. He was neat and removed all excess from the home. The project took about 3 or 4 days with no trouble. The remodel took place about 4 weeks ago, my shower has had no leaks or other problems associated with a new structure. I had no problems during the course of the renovation. I would highly recommend this contractor and I plan on using him again for additional bathroom and kitchen work. Look at my before and after picture under the media section. I love my new shower!

AAll Bright Tub and Tile Refinishers
Amazing professional. Dave at All Bright Tub and Tile Refinishers prepped and paint our tub and surround tile and also re-grouted our shower and painted the fiberglass shower basin. Both tub and shower came out beautiful. Dave was very polite, respectful, honest, friendly, neat, professional and punctual. He is a true craftsman and paid close attention to all the detail and was very careful to do a great and complete job. I can’t say enough good things about Dave. My original plan was to paint the shower, however, since my tiles were in good shape Dave suggested re-grouting and we are so glad he did. Our bathtub and surround tile was a bright 70’s yellow and is now a beautiful glistening white. You absolutely can’t go wrong hiring Dave/All Bright Tub and Tile Refinishers.
