Last weekend our Carrier Central air conditioner stopped cooling. Originally I called the company that installed the unit 6 years ago (Stanco Climate Control in Manalapan NJ). He came out and after a 10 minute inspection told us that we had a leak and that he needed to add 11 pounds of Puron coolant. His rate for this was $60 per pound. When you add the $80 service charge and sales tax it was going to cost us $792. I paid him the $80 service charge and told him I needed to get additional quotes. I called up DAS Appliance Service and the owner Sam came out within an hour of my call. He diagnosed the problem and added 5 pounds of Puron refrigerant at a cost of $25 per pound. My total cost with DAS was $181. That is less than one quarter of what Stanco quoted me. He was professional, honest and courteous. Needless to say I highly recommend DAS Appliance Services and advise others to stay clear of Stanco Climate Control, unless you like getting ripped off.

Aces! I think that we can all agree that in the service industry finding someone you can trust is like finding gold, which is the reason why I have had the same car mechanic for 28 years. I feel the same way about Dave. He responded to a service call for my Central air conditioner which had a clogged drain. His honesty with dealing with the situation was outstanding. I will continue to use him for any plumbing/heating etc conditions that come up in the future. Truly like finding a gem.

Placed a service call to service all my central air conditioners. The team was very responsive and were able to accommodate the service call at a short notice. They were very detail oriented did a complete professional job. One of the units was out of freon they brought this to my attention and brought the freon to the right levels without charge. She answered all of my questions and quickly set up a service call for the following business day. The technician, Jordan, arrived at the time indicated and was quickly able to diagnose the issue. Jordan was able to fix the issue the same day. I contacted Meyer & Depew to get a second opinion and it was well worth it! The first diagnosis from another company would have cost me a few thousand dollars. Definitely recommend them for the extensive knowledge and great customer service.
