Terrible. Left several messages for estimates. Did not even have the courtesy to respond. Will not waste my time in the future.

If I could give a higher grade I would. I received several quotes and their price was fair and reasonable. KG was recommended to me from my realtor. Zach and his staff are neat and efficient. They use top grade products and their work is top notch. He was very patient with us as my husband and I did not have the same vision. They are true professionals and I will highly recommend them to everyone.

They did an amazing job on building my floating dock. The attention to details is unbelievable. The dock looks beautiful and I already have neighbors that are asking for Andriey's number. Andriey was organized, detailed and most importantly honest. It was a pleasure working with them. Take my word, when I tell you it's hard to find good and reliable contractors. In the past year I literally had to remodel every part of my house. Thus far I have not written a good review on anyone except the StartouchNYC. Thank you, Boris.

Debbie is a great communicator who answered my questions and made me feel secure that they would handle the job efficiently and effectively. It was easy as could be, I wasn't even home they came, they completed the work and called me to let me know it was complete. I came down, inspected.... it was perfect!

Dockmaster, Ronald Yarkin of Seaboard Dockbuilders Inc. had responded to my emergency call for assistance at ten o'clock pm , when chains broke during a bad thunderstorm with gale force winds. Ron secured the dock with line temporarily, till starting the job of installing three pile hoops and the setting of an additional pole to better secure the floating dock. He and his workers are professional , courteous and friendly . They completed the job by April 25th. Any debris left was taken away. He does a clean job . I have used Seaboard Dockbuilders before and I am happy with the end results.

The project was conducted over the lagoon, so Bob Amon had the tides to contend with. Over a span of 4 days at 2 hours per day, when the tides were low, Bob and his men did an expert job of using their unique leveling tools to install the new dock. Bob hauled away the old floater and installed a new stationary dock the exact same size as the floater.

FTOM JOHNSTON & SON MARINE SERVICE INC
Nightmare of nightmares, did not finish job, took deposit and left never came back. Work that was peformed was substandard. I had to track him down and go to consumer affairs and the town and get a laywer. I have been involved over 2 years with this guy and still not done. The town inspected his work and found many deficencies I filed a criminal complaint against him for stealing my money. The county has been slow to respond and I have had to push and push them. The DA would not file charges at this time but consumer affairs found him guilty of unlawful business practices in suffolk county and he was fined. At a meeting with consumer affairs an agreement was reached but so far to date he has not lived up to his part of the agreement. Do not use this guy he will suck you in with a low price and you will be sorry. He asks for half deposit up front and his contracts are improper, all violations of business law.
Recent Review: My basic wood deck was only a few years old and needed repair. Per contractor John Mignone's request, I emailed him photos of the deck. Then for a 100 dollar inspection fee he came to my home to see the situation in person and give me an assessment of the situation and provide me with an estimate. The inspection fee was applied towards the cost of the job. My deck had been installed with the wrong nails that were and inch too short and were rusting, resulting in popping up boards. The work was done promptly, neatly and proficiently. The work area was secured and cleaned up prior to leaving daily-I did not have to clean up the area myself. Mr. Mignone gave me good advice about selecting the appropriate color for the protective deck paint, which is different from the previous color and now blends beautifully with all the elements of the house . Mr. Mignone was very conscientious and did a great job supervising the work. He has many years of experience in his field. His worker was a quiet, pleasant and hard worker and did a great job. The repaired deck now feels stable and looks terrific. If you want to save time and some money, investigate the type of protective coating you want to use and sample possible colors before you begin the job. If you prefer less maintenance for your wood deck use two coats of elastomeric deck & dock paint, which is available from an established paint store, which I am told should last between 5 to 7 years. In order to access raised areas, the painter placed a plank across two strategically placed fold out ladders-he did not need to use a scaffold. This was an important detail, since my municipality verified that a permit would have been required for the use of a scaffold and I would have had to ask the contractor to obtain a permit, which he would have been willing and able to do since he was licensed and insured at the time that I hired him-a detail that homeowners should always verify.
