Recent Review: I had a set of custom made french doors that needed hanging in my 1928 home with uneven floors, and I wanted them installed perfectly (so they wouldn't scrape the floor!) . I sent an email to him through Angie's list on Saturday morning, received a response by the following day, and by Tuesday the doors were installed. No mess, no fuss, and most importantly, they fit perfectly.  Will definitely use him again.

Recent Review: Lowes did an ok job. They were a little slow at getting here, but they have a great product that we are very happy with. We are having an issue with the door sticking, but it's just a matter of adjusting it I'm sure.

Recent Review: Geary came out to assess the work that needed done and followed up quickly with a quote, which was reasonable.  He was able to offer suggestions and ideas but was not in any way pushy or upselling.  The door had to be ordered.  We did have an issue on the scheduling, which I believed was to be installed in November but wasn't installed until December.  This unnerved me because of the weather in December and the dismantling of a large door during cold temps, but Geary was prepared and had a solution to that issue.  Everything went well, the door looks very nice and seems to be well sealed. **UPDATE** After seeing the provider's response to my review of December 30, 2013 for the first time in October 2014, I would like to write that I am insulted by his sarcastic comments about my "C" grade on punctuality.   Overall, I was pleased with his work as can been viewed by my overall "A" grade of his service.  The punctuality issue did not apply to his on-time (and 15-minutes early) appointment for an evaluation of the situation and quote for work needed, but with when the work was performed.  Geary quoted the job on September 28, 2013.  He stated that there would be a 4-week time lag between the time he received my check for the deposit and when the door would be ready for installation and I understood that.  Four weeks from September 28, 2013, would be October 26, 2013.  There was a slight delay since I wanted a written quote and to see proof of insurance and there was, as he stated in his review, a glitch with the post office in delivering his formal quote and supplying me with documentation of insurance.  But, if I do the math as he sarcastically recommends, if he received my deposit on October 8, 2013 and, according to his comment, "do the math...there is no way the door unit was even ready to be picked up in November, let alone be installed..." I don't understand it at all.  Four weeks from October 8, 2013 is November 5, 2013.  So why, if the door is ready on November 5, 2013, am I castigated for not expecting the installation in November?  I did not expect it in December at  all, when the weather is colder and would have waited until spring to do the job if it dragged on into December.  If he is so busy as to to be unable to install after delivery, I should have been informed.  I fully expected it to be installed in November, not December.   I provided this information only to provide feedback to Kriste Maintenance.  Although I was generally happy with the service based on my grades, I would have to say that I would not use his services again because of his demeaning and erroneous comments and have noted similar comments to other customers on Angie's List.  I understand the desire for good/perfect reviews, but demeaning the customer in the process isn't a good strategy, in my opinion."

Recent Review: EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE! I was contacted immediately after purchasing the AL deal to schedule a project manager to come out and review the work. The PM determined that the work could be done in the time allowed for the deal. I also had him give me a quote on some other work. I received the quote the following day. I ended up not doing the other work, but scheduled the door repair. The first time they had available was a couple of weeks out, but that was okay. I received a call 4 days before my appointment to say that some time had opened up that afternoon, if I was available. I was, and Larry showed up right on time. Larry was super friendly and eager to help. He evaluated the door for a few minutes and was able to fix it in record time. Now, here's the best part - since it took no time at all for the repair HE OFFERED TO FIX SOMETHING ELSE! I was blown away. Most people would have taken the money and ran. But, as a matter of fact, I had a storm door that had been giving me problems for years. I told him I didn't think to ask the project manager about it, but he said no problem since I paid for a block of time and I had plenty of time left. Larry proceeded to work on the storm door, and it turned out to be a little more tricky than he first envisioned. I felt guilty, but he didn't mind at all! He stuck to it, and got the door working, and closing, right for the first time in the 9 years we've been in this house! I couldn't be more pleased at the communication, the professionalism, and the work ethic. Fantastic job all around. Will definitely call again.

Recent Review: Special ordered door and it arrived in two weeks (ahead of schedule)! Installer came out the following week, removed the old door and installed new door with sliding screen in a few hours. Everything was done to my complete satisfaction. Installer noted that screen door upper track was too short, so he ordered a replacement, which he installed when it arrived.

Recent Review: The whole experience was fantastic. From day one this company was responsive and good communication continued until the project was complete. The company representative Mr. Hall arrive on time and worked until dark. Our home had issues, his work was very meticulous. He took great care in making sure that job was not only done well but to my standards too. This is the forth house I have rehabbed. Typically I have to micromanage, but Mr, Hall took care of issues before I had to say a word. I  was very pleased. Before leaving I asked him to quote me a price on the next job, one very large.

The carpenter, Larry, fixed the alignment on the front door and it closes with a touch and the lock works easily now. He realigned both sides of the french doors and they now close easily and stay closed. Larry was friendly and efficient and obviously knew his craft.

This is the 3rd project Geary has completed for us since we purchased our home last year.  He did excellent work that met and/or exceeded our expectations in the prior two jobs, but this one was so well done that I had to write a review, even as he deservedly has so many excellent reviews on the site already it seems like he hardly need another!  In fact, the only negative you could try to come up with is that he is so in demand with new and existing customers that there tends is usually a wait before he has an opening.  But we've waited three times for him to be available and it has been worth it and far better to have the job done right than immediately as far as we're concerned. The first two projects Geary did were some changes to an old built in shelf and TV console to better fit modern flatscreens and remove a plaster framed picture above the entrance.  Both came out great and while we originally just hired him to remove the eyesore of a sculpture, Geary had the idea and completed something in its place--some molding that matches the rest of the foyer.  Next he removed and hauled away an old trash compactor and replaced it with a built in sliding trash can shelf.  It looks like it was always there and works well. Most recently he put in a door and glass transom. This was a very wide opening with a high ceiling where no door existed before, and where a staircase actually cut into most of the wall.  Prior to Geary we had heard everything from moving the wall, to cutting the staircase to expanding the wall to get a door in. A relative who is an engineer and accomplished DIYer, didn't think it was possible at all without major structural work including refinishing the hardwood floors afterwards. But the door is in, works well and looks like it belongs there and has always been there.  It also could easily be removed if needed to return it to previous condition including the original moldings which are intact and just covered.  All that was required was him ordering the door, then installing it in one day by himself.  It was an excellent job, and one that few even wanted to try for us due to the difficulty. In our experience, would be hard to find anyone better for home improvement and repair projects, and he's reliable and very reasonably priced.
