Business Description: We manufacture Advanced Energy Panels (AEPs). AEPs are a retrofit for historic windows or any window people can't afford or don’t wish to replace. AEPs are interior window insulating panels and can be installed in any building –office, home or industrial. AEPs have a higher insulation and air sealing rating and provide greater comfort than most replacement windows, yet they are a fraction of the cost. AEPs are custom made to fit over existing openings, protecting, preserving and improving your existing windows.
Recent Review: installers arrived on time and put tarps down where they would walk thru the house. The used the bathroom window to insert the hose which would carry the insullation to the attic. This was the closet and most logical window to use. Cleaned up when they were finished, taking the approximate amount of time the projected for the job. I do wish they would have alerted us to being nearly complete with the job so we could have peaked up in the attic to see the completed job before they sealed up the attic access. Not that I distrusted them , but it would have given me even more reinsurance of a completed job.
Recent Review: Penguin Insulation were very good. I like how he worked well with the other contractors, because one guy had to put the floor back down so the insulation guy could do his work. I gave them each others numbers and told them that I expected them to be professional and work well together. They needed to, because the one needed to have the floor to stand on, but then some of the insulation also had to go under the floor. They both needed to work well together.

Recent Review: Great! Amy Gillespie came out to look at our house and was very thorough. She even went above and beyond and took a quick peak at our water heater to spot signs of CO2 when we mentioned we were thinking of adding more insulation to our house, and she was right - we did have CO2 signs and had to replace our water heater. She also rushed to get us a window quote. We had SNAP do our roof last year and they were fantastic to work with! Eric was the production manager and he was very on top of things. Highly recommend SNAP!
Recent Review: After inspecting both attics, the conclusion was that I had plenty of insulation and both the soffet and ridge vents were installed correctly. The technicians also made some suggestions on additional things to check for causes for the ice dam and recommended providers to come and take a look. I had purchased a Big Deal that included an inspection and insulating material - but as I didn't need insulation, New Windows for America refunded the Big Deal entirely. If I have further need for windows or attic insulation I would go back to New Windows due to their performance and ethics.
This is an old, 1950's cabin that has been added on to and updated many times, often with very poor workmanship. I expected there to be "glitches" along the way and I was most impressed that John remained unflustered by what was uncovered as the project progressed. He remained determined not to cut corners and to leave us with a professional job done and that is what he did. He was always available for questions and concerns and I felt comfortable being honest with him. The men he had come to do various parts of this job were very professional and respectful of our time and our home. I have never had workers remove their shoes each time and clean up so well! John sends out the person with the right expertise for the specific job and I found every one of his long time workers to be conscientious and proud of their work. When a new worker came out and did a poor job, John sent an expert out within days to totally redo this framing. The only difficult thing was the time it took to finish the whole project as this company appears to be booked solid and may not have a lot of wiggle room with time when things go wrong. To be clear and fair, a lot of problems were discovered as the project progressed because this is an old, poorly constructed house. To John's credit, when I contacted him about the length of time passing, he figured out a way to get his men here quickly and to have them stay until the project was completed and completed correctly. I paid to get the job done right and it was. I will definitely hire this company again.

They were great to work with and Joel is very professional and when he comes out for estimates, he does not push you into using them. Our windows were replaced several years ago and the installers were professional and cleaned up after themselves. Just last year we did the siding and gutters and the installers were great, efficient and harding working. They too, cleaned up nicely after themselves. We feel we got a great product along with a great value.

The overall quality of the job was ok. Jeff the owner was very professional and personable. He had many different crews come out and the work was just not that good.

We had the walls in our sunroom insulated as well as the windows replaced. The windows look great and work well. The only thing is that there was quite a bit of insulation left on our grass after the project was finished.

I do not like the sales strategy of this company and do not trust they are giving a fair estimate. They came out to do a bid on a large job and when the guy sat down to tell the cost he start with this out of this world price and then said that he'd give a 10% discount for this, and a 20% discount for that and all these other discounts and his bid was still out of my price range so I said no thanks. Then he drops another 10% or so and I still tell him it's too high and he wanted to tell me about their great financing options and how prices will only go up. I finally get this shark to leave after saying no about 15 times and then a few days later CRI calls me and says that they want the manager to come out and talk to me because they could get me even a lower price. I kept on telling her no and she wouldn't take no for an answer telling me about all these great financing options they have and all the same nonsense the last guy kept on telling me. I finally had to hang up on her. I ended up going elsewhere and the first bid I got was about 20% lower than CRI last bid. I had work done with CRI in the past and I'm concerned that I way overpaid because of their shady sales tactics and probably would have saved if I shopped around. If you do decide to go with these scam artists make sure you get more bids to see how much they're over charging you. The other day one of their sales people came while going door to door. I told her I don't like their sales tactics and she started right in with the company line as if she didn't hear me and not accepting no for an answer, so I had to close the door on her. I hate companies that force you to be rude to get them to go away. Beware of these people.

Window installation went quickly, fit well, and the windows have now been in place for a number of years with no sign of mold and much better insulating than the previous windows.

It went very well. They were very pleasant and got the job done. They finished on time for when they said they would. I was leery of contractors until i went through the process with them. They were helpful the whole way through the process and answered any questions i had and never left me hanging. I would continue to go through CSC Exteriors for any new projects and recommend them to anyone else who has a project coming up.
