Recent Review: I CALLED JACK WEISNER FOR A BID ON A SMALL PROJECT, BUT GAVE HIM VERY SHORT NOTICE OF WHEN I NEEDED THE WORK DONE. HE ACCOMMODATED MY TIME REQUEST, DID AN EXCELLENT JOB INSTALLING DUCT WORK ON A BASEMENT REMODEL, AND DID IT FOR A FAIR PRICE. HE'S VERY PERSONABLE AND I WAS QUITE COMFORTABLE HAVING HIM WORK IN MY HOME. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY.

Recent Review: Completed several small ductwork jobs I needed done for my DIY basement finishing. Worked the ducts into the spaces I had created for them. Worked it into those spaces even though I made them a bit too small in a couple spots. Work was completed quickly, at the price quoted, and with excellent quality. It is now over 6 years later and everything is working fine.

Ditter Cooling & Heating
Award 2018Super Service Award
Recent Review: We had been burned by HVAC guys in the past so this time we did a lot of research before hiring anyone. Ditter repeatedly had good customer references, and they were much more reasonably priced than some of the big guys. Our former HVAC guy, just decided he was moving one day and left us and the job half done. Ditter was nice enough to come in and rescue us. They used the materials the other guy left behind, saving us big $$$. Ditter also showed up when they said they would! The other HVAC guys we used in the past would always say they were coming and then would have an emergency or sickness or were running behind or some other "plausible" reason for not showing up. Ditter was different. They arrived promptly and worked fast, really fast. (again saving me $$$) They cleaned up the work site and even had some custom duct work made to fit within existing soffets. (something the other HVAC guy said was impossible) I can't say enough good things about Ditter.

Recent Review: Eric did fabulous work -- high quality and very timely. Eric even came by one evening in advance of the meeting to check out the projects and give us feedback. He called the night before and showed up exactly at the time promised. Eric is top notch. It's great to know people like him still exist. We will definitely be calling him again.

Air Mechanical Inc
Recent Review: Air Mechanical provided a window of time when the technician would arrive. Late in that window, we received a call from the office letting us know that Sam was on the way. Although he arrived within the pre-appointed time frame, Sam apologized for being so late. This was not a problem for us, but it was nice that he was concerned. Sam went right to work, completed the inspection and testing, and took time to thoroughly go through his tune-up checklist and explain to me what he did and what he found. We $198 a year for Air Mechanical's Home Comfort Plan. Under this plan, Air Mechanical provides a furnace tune-up in the fall and an A/C tune-up in the spring. In addition, we build up "loyalty dollars," which we can use towards certain services. For example, when Air Mechanical installed ductwork in our basement, we were able to use some loyalty dollars towards the cost of that work. As I recall the Home Comfort Plan also gives us some discounts on parts and service and priority consideration when scheduling service work. Although there are companies that offer specials that could save us some money on tune-ups, we appreciate our relationship with Air Mechanical and the special benefits that the Home Comfort Plan provides.

Aabbott Ferraro Heating and Air Conditioning
Recent Review: Retrofitting a house with hot water heat for air conditioning can be challenging because the conventional approach is to install ductwork all tied into a outside air conditioning unit.  Mini-splits don't require ductwork but instead circulate refrigerant through wall units that have fans embedded in them that blow air across the refrigerant coils.  I really like the versatility of mini-splits because they are in fact heat pumps.  They can pump heat out of your house in the summer and extract heat from the outside air to heat your house during the shoulder seasons of spring and fall.  The wall units make it possible to heat or cool individual rooms or the entire house, permitting you to save energy and money by conditioning only those spaces you happen to be occupying at a given point in time.  Aabbott and Ferrero did a really nice job of discretely aggregating and hiding the refrigerant lines that run down the exterior walls of our house.  The system has operated extremely well through two heating and cooling systems

Recent Review: I was extremely impressed and satisfied by my experience with Ductworks. This fall, I found out that I needed to replace my furnace, and received quotes from a handful of local companies. As part of the quote, I was also interested in the possibility of running a supply to an upstairs bedroom. The quote from Ductworks was reasonable and competitive. But what really stood out for me was the attention that Ductworks employees paid to me as a homeowner. I worked directly with Jared Hillsdale and I highly recommend him. He walked me through various options, toured my house with me, and we discussed ways of running a supply up to the spare room. All in all, I was very impressed by time and attention that Ductworks paid to me before I had even signed a contract for installation. They were genuinely interested in helping me choose the best furnace for my house and for my budget, and were honest and upfront with me about the pros and cons of undertaking additional ductwork. On the day of the install, Ductworks employees showed up on time and were very professional and efficient in removing my old furnace and setting up my new one and walking me through the new unit after the install, answering any questions, etc. I made the decision myself not to have the supply installed, and that was not an issue for Ductworks.   I am very satisfied by my experience and I would recommend Ductworks to friends without hesitation.

Customer responsiveness was non-existent. It was like they didn't want to do my job, but they didn't want to call me and tell me that. I figured if they didn't want to talk to me, they didn't want my business. That says a lot about a company if they fail to return your phone call in a timely manner, especially since through Angie's List they clearly said they could do the job and to contact them.
