Recent Review: I have a 1925 house that needed some plaster repair in the bathroom. I did the prep work (opening the cracks, cleaning out, etc) and they did the filling. They used drywall mud to fix the cracks. I bought the $99 for 3 hours of drywall/plaster repair. Two guys came--so it was 1.5 hours each. Then I paid an extra $40 or so for them to finish what they were doing. I had previously had someone come in to do the majority of the plaster repair in the house (who wasn't available for this) and have someone else come in after this to do some mudding and taping in the kitchen. Both of those jobs--neither of the guys had to sand much at all, it looked smooth and professional through the whole process. For this job I was going to have these guys do the next round of prep work (painting the cracks with the right product so the plaster sticks) and then repairing the cracks--so I could finish up and then paint. I don't believe they applied anything in the cracks before filling (as my previous plaster guy did) to help with adhesion, the repairs didn't look good when finished and it took me a LONG time to sand their work so it looked okay, and it other areasI had to redo some of the cracks because they needed more mud. I did not like their work on this project. That being said--the guys were very nice. They showed up on time. I think their specialty is painting and then they moved into mudding/drywall. From their work on plaster I would guess they do not have much experience with plaster repair.
