Reviews in Minneapolis to Install Weather Stripping
AMr. Handyman of Chanhassen, Chaska & Shakopee
Very well! Aaron was on time, explained the type of weather stripping he would be using, and kept me appraised of how the project was going throughout the time he was here. Once he finished, he explained the completed work to me and asked if I had any questions. He was very professional, yet friendly. The project took 110 min. to complete, which included his going to pick up the supplies, and since there were 10 min. left on the fourth half hour I would be charged for, he asked if I had any quick project and changed my fluorescent light bulbs in my kitchen. I would highly recommend Mr. Handyman.

APatera's Cleaning Service
Natalie has been cleaning for us for several years, and her husband Dennis just recently began offering handyman services, so when they were last here he removed the old weatherstripping around the steel door to our garage (which was basically disintegrating and falling off) and replaced it with new weatherstripping that we had purchased. He answered all my questions very knowledgeably and did a terrific job! We will be hiring him again for other handyman services!

AERIC'S HANDYMAN SERVICE
Eric responded quickly to my call, came out to give me an estimate when he said he would. He scheduled a day to do the work and then ended up calling me the day before because he had hurt his leg and wasn't going to be able to make it. He came the next day, though, and I really appreciated how on top of the whole thing he was--lots of peolple would have just not shown up. He removed old weather stripping from the door between the garage and the house and replaced it with new molding/weather stripping and also graded the bottom of the door so that there was room for an entry rug. Also adjusted an upstairs bedroom door that did not close properly. He did a good job and I would hire him again.

Just super. Door was leaking a ton of cold air and the temp was below 0. Old weather stripping looked like a DIY job.

He did a really good job. It was one of those odd jobs that neither my husband nor I knew how to do so it was nice to find someone who knew how to do it and was fairly priced. He was very knowledgeable and trustworthy.

Not good. The caulking at some places were bad. Had to be sent photos and to be redone. The Blower test was not performed and had to call them back for the blower test.

Initial work was fine. Weather Stripping started to peel off after only 2 months. Seals were just OK, not a great blocker of cold air and wind.

AWORKING FOR YOU
The front door threshold really looks nice now. Rob and his helper were very professional and personable. A piece of very old and worn weather striping was attached to the wooden threshold and did not look nice. The old weather strip was removed. A new weather strip was attached to the bottom of the door. The wooden threshold was sanded down and finished was applied.

Joe responded right away. It was easy to schedule to have the work done. He came out to tweak some things after performing the initial work. No charge for the tweaking.
Recent Review: The job was mostly a room addition, and so M-K Remodeling and Handyman was my contact. He subcontracted the electrical, plumbing, and furnace out. The short story is that Mike Kemna did a fine job and will gladly work with him again. I was also pleased with the subcontractors' work, although some of their decisions left me - as the finish carpenter - with some unpleasant problems to solve. We met once for a walk-through and again to go over an itemized bid. The turnaround time on this was quite fast - about 12 days - considering that he also had to coordinate the electrical, plumbing, and carpeting bids. He began work when he said he would and let me know ahead of time when there would be interruptions. The most common failure of projects is communication, and Mike kept me informed of his progress, the decisions that I would have to make and their due dates, and when I would have to complete my painting task to keep him on schedule. The only miscommunication we had was with the plumbing subcontractor over the demolition of the ceiling for the PEX run, and we ironed it out satisfactorily. Mike was very patient with me as I changed my mind 3 times about a closet location, but let me know when my decision had to be finalized without incurring extra charges. The project was completed on time, and Mike even squeezed in an extra kitchen flooring job into the schedule. When the project was begun, I asked Mike to price some items out as options, and they were implemented as I'd desired. The PEX plumbing run was done on a time-and-materials basis, and I thought it was charged fairly. At the end of the project, I got an itemized billing of the original budget along with the changes to the plan and how much money each change added or saved from the final bill. This was very welcome, and illustrates the level of communication we maintained. All our potential renters have remarked what a nice suite we have downstairs. Most say they want that suite for themselves and leave the upstairs bedrooms for the kids.
Business Description: I offer remodeling services direct to clients in the metro and surrounding area. I am 37 years young, work with one other person (Dave, employee) and have been doing this type of work my entire adult life. I spent 9 years running a design build firm and found the pricing to be out of control and great opportunity in a "carpenter to client" model. I am able to remodel your entire home or replace your front door. Tile a bathroom or build you an addition. I can give good budget numbers over the phone and upon a site visit I can give you (before I leave your site) a detailed bid and access to my calendar if we are a good fit. I do not take any form of payment up front. You pay after I complete my work, never before. I carry a ridiculous amount of liability, work comp. and automotive insurance. We are over-the-top organized, super clean and very skilled.
Recent Review: He replaced a garbage disposal. He was fabulous to work with. He was very personable, thorough and careful in my home. He did a great job cleaning up after himself and didn't make a mess while he was working. He was also very good with my dogs.
Recent Review: They did it very quickly, very well and inexpensively. Their professionalism i thought was good, their quick diagnosis and didn't use a lot of tools because of their experience within an hour and a half they had got the job accomplished. He made a good responds to the problem and it calls for a good insight and he had that.
Recent Review: My husband and I had pets that over the years had damaged areas in our home. Now that all of our and quot;babiesand quot; have passed away, we decided to get everything and quot;whipped back into shapeand quot;. I used Angie's List to locate handymen in our general area and discovered Monette's. We were very impressed with the work that Justin, his dad, and his cousin did for us. They were professional and patient and the work they did was EXCELLENT. If Justin decided that he wasn't happy with the way a stain looked on a particular piece of wood, he would take the piece back to the shop and work on it again. When we asked for suggestions on whether or not we should attempt a certain project, he was honest about giving us feedback. We were so pleased with the results of their work that we are already planning on our next set of projects for Justin and family. We can highly recommend them for their expertise and their integrity.
Recent Review: They did a great job! Cleaned gutters and flushed them clean. They took the trash and cleaned up the runoff. Nice young fellas who knew what they were doing. I took estimates for window washing and handyman work. I will be using them in the future.

Recent Review: Mike helped us out with a renovation we were undertaking in the kitchen. He helped us think through various considerations of the project, gave good advice for the DIY aspects, and took care of the things that were beyond the scope of our abilities. His services in plumbing and electrical were essential to the success of our remodel. Mike was prompt, straight-forward, professional, and enjoyable to work with. I will call him again whenever I need any sort of handyman work done around the house.
