Recent Review: When Chris came out to look at our project in the beginning he was on time and did not charge us any fees to look at our project. We had a budget for the project and he worked with us to insure that we were getting the most for our investment. He gave a quick response on the bid, and once we hired him, stone solutions came the the day they said they would start, and completed the job. Stone Solutions was detailed with there work, did not make a mess, and there was no hidden costs. It turned out exactly the way we wanted it to. This year we are going to have them back to install a paver patio, to complete our backyard!

AThe Masons Touch
The project was completed on time and at the price as estimated. Their high quality work has created an awesome improvement in the appearance of the house. Aaron and his crew were all very pleasant and professional. They did a very complete cleanup around the outside of the house after their work was completed. Even though there was one weather delay during the project, Aaron still met my deadline date by having his team work long hours as needed. He was quite responsive to my questions and other input on the project. I am planning to use The Mason's Touch again.

AThe Masons Touch
Love, love, love Aaron. He was awesome to work with. He was always on time, worked hard, and very good at what he does. You can see he takes great pride in his work. He has a good eye for design. He is very easy to get along with and has very good ideas. You can't go wrong hiring him. I also felt he goes above and beyond what would be expected in making sure I was totally happy with the work when it was completed. I get lots of compliments on the stone and the water feature. I look forward to working with him again.

It was an absolutely awful experience from start to finish. After 2 years of asking them to come back and fix the very substantial leaks in the garage and kitchen, they stopped returning my calls. Kevin Nelson was the Hayne contractor. He is not a roofing expert but continued to act as though he was. My garage roof was not leaking before they replaced the roof. It has not stopped leaking since they replaced it. Kevin is arrogant and refused to call in an actual roofing expert. He continually insisted that the problems were with my house and not with their work. When I had a roofing expert come out, they quickly saw the problems that Kevin and Hayne created. When Hayne built my new chimney they did not build a chimney saddle to tie it into the roof line to prevent leaking. My kitchen ceiling is now ruined and needs repair. They also installed the flashing upside down around the chimney and between the garage and the house.Which is the actual cause of the leaking. Not the crazy excuses Kevin continued to give me the past 2 years. When they were removing existing brick from the ffont of house and garage, they assured me they would not damage shrubs and perennials planted there. I offered to move them and they said it was not necessary. Then their crew proceeded to pull off the bricks and let them drop on my landscaping - damaging and killing several shrubs and plants. They also helped themself to using my plastic garden cart for hauling away brick debris - ruining it. When I asked to be reimbursed for actual damaged shrubs and plants they gave me $100 and told me that their lawyers would sue me if I expected to receive actual compensation. I would never, ever, ever use this company for anything. I can't believe they are actually on Angie's list.

ACraftsman's Choice Inc
We selected Craftsman's Choice on the strong recommendation of our perfectionist neighbor, who was satisfied with their work. During the project, I had numerous others stop by to tell me that they had used Craftsman's Choice, too, and were pleased with the service. We had extensive work done--a complete redo of the exterior of our home, which is now one of the best-looking houses in the neighborhood. I was completely satisfied with the work quality, professionalism, and particularly the character of Ben Juncker, who worked with us closely throughout the process. Ben understood that we lead busy lives and that he would have to take charge not only of his responsibilities of the project (employees, scheduling, etc.), but that he would have to be persistent in helping guide us through our decisions and to make it easy for us to do our part to keep the project moving along. In short, Ben was able to manage us as well as his employees. I had enough confidence in Ben's character and attention to detail to let him make certain selections, and we were not disappointed by doing so. In sum, I would hire Craftsman's Choice again, and have plans to do so for another project next spring.

Joel is easy to work with, has good ideas, and is quick to respond via email or phone. They began the job a week EARLIER than planned so we were pleasantly surprised. They were worth the money. The crew showed up every day ready to work. They didn't let on if they were annoyed when I bombarded them with questions. Nice guys and good experience all around.

ASPINNER SERVICE COMPANY INC
Simply hands down the absolute best contractor I have ever had the pleasure to work with. He installed a paver driveway for me for the same cost as the high end concrete guys wanted. I had done a ton of research ahead of time to make sure he wasn't cutting corners to bring the price down, and I am highly confident that he didnt. He did what needed to be done, and didn't try to overdo anything just to pad the cost. His crew were great, all nice guys and extremely hard workes. I couldnt believe how hard they were still working when I would get home from work at 6:00 and they were going at it like they had just gotten there. He offerred suggestions when needed, but never tried to force anything down on us like most of the other so called professional landscape designers we talked to wanted to do. The new stone veneer front steps he installed are a work of art. My house went from worst to first in the neighborhood thanks to them, and for a price that was as much as 40% less than what some of his competitors thought it would take. I will never hire another landscape contractor again as long as Tom is still in the business.

AWORKING FOR YOU
Rob Krajewski did an outstanding job on the brick repair/replace and tuck pointing. His calendar was full but he squeezed me in to get the job done. Would definitely hire him again.

ALetUs Handyman & Remodeling Service
Brad came out promptly to quote the job. The handyman who did the work (Dave?) was also prompt. He removed blinds from the windows and took the windows outside to do the staining. He replaced the windows and the blinds. A good job overall except for some stain left on the glass (easily removed but it didn't indicate the sort of perfectionism that I admire).

BCHRIS ELPERS CARPENTRY & REMODELING INC
it was a very odd and daunting task that he had no previous experience doing, but he jumped right in and did the best he could. some of the cabinets are odd shaped and some very thin, but he found ways to get the veneer hung. looks good.

ABarrier Construction LLC
Our project took place in four phases - 1) Design, 2) Tear off, 3) Hardie Board siding and 4) Stonework. The most difficult part of the process for us was the design work. Despite working with Barrier's designer, who helped us select stone that would work with the style of our home and the color siding we were considering, our plan came together after Garen's suggestion to buy paint samples of the color siding we were considering. We were going from a drab, off-white stucco board to Hardie Boothbay Blue (a dramatic change for us) and for some reason, the designer's drawings didn't work as well as slapping the paint on part of the existing exterior and standing back to look at it during different lighting levels throughout the day. Once we had the design finalized, tear off took place the end of August and took a day. The crew was fantastic - our front yard stayed neat and the dumpster was off set on our drive way so we could continue to get cars in the garage - and they were able to answer any questions we had about what would happen when. The Hardie Board, which went on the second story of our home and across a front porch and attached garage, took about three days to install. We had selected a shake style for the second story and lap siding across the garage and front porch. The finished siding exceeded our expectations in how it looked from the front, as well as how nice it looked where it butted up against the existing siding on the sides of our home. The stonework was last and took two days to complete. The product that arrived looked like what we had selected (I worried because I've heard stories about how they can be different assortments than what you see in the sample). Once the project was complete Garen had us look everything over for a final walk-through. We had three minor punch list items to fix and these were noted and promptly addressed. All in all, everyone from our newspaper delivery man to the neighbors have commented on how nice our home looks. This was a 1984 traditional two story with a shallow front sloping roof and no interest to speak of. Barrier helped us give it some visual interest and we are very, very happy with the end result. die
