We first called Minnesota Master Plumbing when the pump in our basement started making a noise and there was hesitation before it turned on. Josh Rockow came over the same day to diagnose the problem. After listening to the pump and checking things out, Josh explained that the bearings in the sewage ejector pump (the pump that pushes the sewage from the house to the septic) were going out. A replacement was recommended. Our house is 18 years old, and we thought this was sound advice. If the pump was not replaced it could just stop working and the result would be back up of sewage into the basement. Josh immediately got to work and replaced the pump in no time, giving us peace of mind once again. We really liked the fast, courteous service of Minnesota Master Plumbers and also the fact that Josh Rockow took the time to explain the issue and how the pump worked. We would certainly recommend Minnesota Master Plumbing and will not hesitate to call them when we are in need of plumbing work.

A loud vibrating noise started coming from what I thought was my sump pump. I called on a Friday morning and they returned my call to tell me that someone would be there that day. They gave a two hour window and came within that time frame. The plumber informed me that is was not the sump pump, but was the sewage ejector that had the problem. He replaced the float and tested it. I thought he worked efficiently and neatly.

Mike came to assess the issue, ordered the part, and came back promptly and professionally and replaced it, sanitizing all necessary areas, door knobs, etc. I have used them before and will use them again! Always a great experience!

We had to make several calls to receive service and they have not lived up to our expectations in more ways than one. 1. Quote provided on the requested pump was not what was installed 2. Service on replacement pump was frustrating because the explanation of the faulty pump did not make sense. Hope to resolve this issue with them but would definitely get things from them in writing. We would not recommend them to others seeking sewage pump replacements.

Discovered floor drain overflow in basement at 6:30am. We have a well and septic system so the lower level plumbing is serviced by a sewage pump. If the pump stops working the drain will overflow. I called at 6:45am and Brad arrived as stated within an hour and a half. He discovered that the float was stuck resulting in the pump not working. He gave me two choices - just unstick the float or replace it. I decided to err on the safe side and replace it. As soon as the pump started working again, the water started to drain. He was done before 9am and the cost was very reasonable compared with what I had paid Roto Rooter previously when I called about a malfunctioning pump. Brad was very personable and efficient.

Not so well. They were professional and timely, but out of site on cost. All told it was almost $2400 for materials and labor. They would not give me a break down of parts and labor cost. They work off of some sort of chart pricing, that din't seem to really reflect the scope of what they were bidding. After checking other plumbers, I was told the typical cost should be in the $800 range for parts and labor. Another company said I could supply the pump and only pay 1 1/2 to 2 hours of labor to install. Much better deal. These guys must think I am an idiot to pay their asking price. It was almost insulting. Stay away from these guys.

FA Aart's & Tim's Quality Plumbing
We called on a Sunday as we arrived home to an alarm going off indicating that our sewage lift pump was not pumping and the holding tank was full. We wanted immediate service to ensure we would not risk a sewage back up into our home. We contacted A Aarts and Tims Quality plumbing as their web site indicated they had emergency service as well their web site listed a price for a lift station pump replacement of about $800. We assumed a burned out pump would be the worst it could be and 800 was a price we could live with. In contacting them they told us they could not respond that day as their add indicated but they could be out first thing in the morning. We agreed and crossed our fingers for no sewage back up overnight. The next day I followed up with them several times and long story short they finally made it out about 4pm that day. The plumber seemed confused when he arrived and admitted although he hadn't seen many of these this one looked different to him. He pulled the pump out disconnected everything only to tell us he did not have the right part and because it was so late in the day he could not go get a part until tomorrow. He also said that as this pump was bigger he could not replace it for the $800 as their site indicated. He thought it would be more like $1100. He came out the next day with the new pump and started working. I checked in with him and he said he could finish today but we were looking at $1600. He also tested the old pump and found that it was still good!!!! Only the switch was bad. He said unfortunately because he took everything out before he tested the pump to see if it was bad like he should have done; it would be almost as much money to install the old pump as to just put in the new. In short it took 3 days to complete a project that should have been done first day. Because they screwed up we had to replace a pump that wasn't even bad and they doubled their price in the process. These guys are clearly scam artists and should be avoided!!!

Dave replaced a sump pump for us. He called ahead to let me know he was on the way. He showed up on time, had the right replacement pump, and did the work quickly. He was personable and his rates were reasonable (as plumbers go).

My call was returned within the hour and appointment set to assess the problem of not having water from the well. They came at the appointed time and told me I need a new pump and that it would cost about $2500. An appointment was set for the following week to pull the pump. They called that day an said that they were having difficulties on another job and asked to set another day. They arrived promptly and started working on pulling the old pump. I was informed that the pump was not coming out of the 50 year old casing as easily as it should, but they finally got it out. However when they were lowering the new pump it could not pass whatever was causing the problem in the casing. I was informed that they would have to use a smaller diameter pump which would cost more that the larger sized one. I agreed and they returned the following day and installed the new pump without further problem. I now have water and am pleased that the additional cost was only $200 more than the original estimate. They were very pleasant and professional and I would happily recommend them to others.
Recent Review: This contractor was fantastic from the get go. I received a call back immediately from Leanne who was very accommodating in scheduling an estimate time that worked for me. Seth came out as scheduled to give me an estimate and followed-up a few times by phone to confirm the time he would be back to complete the work after I gave the go ahead. It was great to have the guy who estimated the work also do the work. Seth was punctual and professional. We had the estimate done on Monday and the work completed on Wednesday. The work was done efficiently and they met all of my expectations. They clearly took the fear out of getting the work done. I highly recommend this contractor.
Recent Review: We received a recommendation from a friend that Jack at All Star Plumbing was great to work with. On a Sunday morning we had a sump pump and a backup sump pump break down. They were working well enough to not overflow but very much on their last legs. That same day (a Sunday) we called Jack and he came out within 2 hours and identified that both pumps were not operational and the backup battery was needing replacement. He replaced both pumps and the backup battery within a few hours. He also educated and provided tips to us on a few different items since this was our first home. Jack and his apprentice were great to work with, very clean, and did as much contactless work as possible in the midst of a pandemic! I highly recommend working with them!

Recent Review: Happy they were able to fit me into their schedule relatively quickly. They explained everything, were on time, cleaned-up afterward. I was not able to do comparison pricing. I was not sure how long my malfunctioning pump would continue to work. I selected them based on good reviews. I may have been able to save some money with someone else, but I do not feel like the price was too high. You get what you pay for. I’m very happy with what they did.
Recent Review: Jason did a very neat and excellent job. The sump works well and drains as it is suppose to. I have used Rascher a number of times in the past and have always had professional and courteous service from them. I highly recommend them for your plumbing needs.
Recent Review: They had to thaw a water line. Then I requested a pump for my water heater to give me hot water quicker to upstairs bathrooms. They were able to get this pump sooner than expected and came out and installed it. Quick service and very nice.
Recent Review: Have never left a review before, and these guys more than deserve it. Merilee and Chad were responsive, down to earth and did a great job; customer service was exceptional. We had water in our basement and they installed a drainage system for our down spouts and sump pump, as well as installed drain tile on the exterior of our home. Basement is completely dry and has been since. I highly recommend their service and will forever be thankful.
Recent Review: My house is 60 years old, and it has a well in a basement room that extends from the foundation. I have not used the well for many years, and I contacted Mantyla to seal it per abandonment procedures. I was happy with their work. It was a cold day, and they were sensitive to keeping the outside door closed each time they used it. In addition, they cleaned up a small mess of debris and water in the basement. Mantyla filed the WELL AND BORING SEALING RECORD with Minnesota Department of Health.
