Recent Review: They were great. The owner, David, also took the time to explain how the system worked, how to clean the filters, etc. We moved the kitchen to a larger room that housed the thermostat as part of a separate remodel. He took the initiative to suggest we move the thermostat out of the new kitchen area and into the living room-- more work for them, but very nice for us! Their quote was about the same or lower than 3 other providers' quotes. It seems like a very principled company.

Recent Review: The contractor from Air Tech Heating and cooling came on time and took about 2 to 3 hours to install the humidifier. He did a very good job. There was very limited space in the Furnace room for the contractor to work with. He fitted the humidifier and did a very nice job of making sure that the drain pipe was attached with wire ties to exiting piping. At the end he also explained how to use the humidifier. Also for an additional 10 dollars he agreed to install the automatic version of the humidifier vs the manual version. Overall - fantastic job. I would highly recommend for further service.

DSears Home Services
I brought my Kenmore dehumidifier to Sears on 4/20/09 to be repaired (it did not dehumidify). I paid $29.99 diagnostic fee. Steve at the Sears repair shop called and said the repair was covered by the 5-year warranty and there would be no charge to fix it so I authorized the repair. On 5/5/09 I called Sears to find out if the repair was complete. I was told it was ready. When I went to pick it up at Sears Ridgedale I was told I owed $106.08. The store manager Dennis Carroll came out to talk to me and said he couldn't give me the dehumidifier for no charge without first talking to Steve at the repair shop and it was too late in the day to reach anyone at the shop. The next day I called Steve at the Sears repair shop and he said just talked to someone at Sears in Ridgedale and they knew it was a warranty repair and they would not charge me for the repair. My wife went to pick up the unit from Sears at Ridgedale and was again told they could not let her take it because their information from the repair shop said they were supposed to collect $106.08 for the repair. Then my wife talked to an assistant manager named Laura who said we had to pay $30 for labor (down from $106.08) because labor wasn't covered by the warranty. My wife explained the tech from the repair shop said there was no charge for the repair. Laura said we HAVE to take the dehumidifier back and we HAVE to pay the $30 because the work would not have been done if we had not authorized it. My wife said the work was authorized with the understanding there would be NO CHARGE. The next day I talked to Steve yet again and he gave me the name of someone at Sears Ridgedale who knew I was not supposed pay anything. I left work early so I could get to Sears Ridgedale when this employee was still there. After three trips to Sears we got our dehumidifier back. We shouldn't have had to pay $29.99 diagnostic fee for a warranty repair that was supposed to be no charge according to the owner's manual, but we didn't dispute it because it would prolong the situation. The dehumidifier is running louder than before but it is working.

Chuck did a great job. He is very knowledgeable! He did find some other things that needed attention with the gas and ventilation of my dryer and a pipe on the hot water heater.

We purchased the furnace tune-up using an Angie's List BigDeal coupon. The humidifier tune-up was extra. Scheduling was easy. Vince arrived on time. He worked efficiently. When the work was completed, he reported on the tune-up, explaining various readings. He also pointed out some things unique to our model that we may need to watch for in the future. He installed a humidifier filter that DuctWorks had brought us last year, which reduced the humidifier tune-up charge.

This deal worked out well. They did what was promised in the deal. We had no issues with the service overall. The technician showed up on time and got the work done quickly. This was a brand new humidifier. The humidifier works fine and we have had no issues with the product.
