DBenjamin Franklin Plumbing Twin Cities
I had used them before this whole new franchising thing happened and the pricing and service everything was great. I did not have the same experience this time. The cost was extremely high. He did not tell me what the additional cost would be because of something. They're supposed to come in and give you the price that it's going to be. It ended up costing almost $100 more. I actually filed a complaint with the company and got my money reduced. Plus, he spent so much time on the phone, talking to his wife or girlfriend, I was so frustrated. They came exactly when they said they would.

They replaced a bathroom vanity for us, which revealed missing sheetrock behind the sink. They repaired it with such attention to detail! They left the work site spotless and were true professionals. We are having them back to tile our kitchen floor.

Recent Review: While installing a new bathroom vanity, the drain pipe going into the wall under the sink was stuck and could not easily be removed. Not wanting to break off pipe, I called Mike. He answered right away, confirmed that he could do the repair, and arranged a visit for the next day. He arrived right on time and had things fixed in an hour. He finished up the sink install as part of his service. I was very happy with the service he provided.

Recent Review: The job went well, the plumber was from McGuire and Sons, which I think was combined with Benjamin Franklin. He was really nice and professional. He worked very efficiently, and talked us through each step. He was informative. Seems like it's standard to have a fee just to get an estimate for plumbing work, and then companies seem to vary as to the method used to determine the bill. So, the bill was exactly what the estimate said it would be, but it seemed expensive in the end when the job didn't take more than 2.5 hours total, and the materials didn't seem significant (some flexible "pex" piping- sort of like a garden hose, but I'm sure more complicated than that, and a few small shut off valves, maybe some other little thing?). Maybe that's just how it goes with plumbing jobs?
