EMERGENCY ELECTRICAL
Recent Review: Joe Dupay did some terrific troubleshooting to determine why several light fixtures in an area were not working. You could tell he was knowledgeable, competent, and experienced. It was almost fun watching him as he pinpointed the problem. He determined that two of relatively-new matching fixtures were defective and, by mere coincidence, a vintage fixture in the same area died around the same time. After seeing his skills and how efficiently he worked, I began to add to the list of requests. Before he left, he replaced a total of three light fixtures and the bath exhaust fan, repaired a vintage fixture, and added a new GFI outlet in the bathroom. He was good-natured and explained everything as he worked (without a hint of condescension). I have no reservations about recommending him to others and will definitely use him again.

Recent Review: They showed up on time, did an excellent job and we were happy with the service. The only thing that was tough was the price tag. It was very high.

Recent Review: Boy's is a different business model than your typical electrical contractor. I contacted them for an estimate to install an exhaust fan in my bathroom. They showed up on time, but hours later, they had completed an inspection of my entire home's electric and fire safety systems with an estimate in the tens of thousands for all kinds of work I hadn't asked about. Quite frankly, I found this very irritating and off-putting. Not super high pressure but there was a sales pitch - joining their club, financing, etc.,. They should be aware, this was nearly enough for me to write them off from the start. Now, having said that, I ended up hiring them and will say that they did a GREAT job on the installation. Two electricians from their company worked hard (if you have an older brick and stucco home in St. Paul, not exactly an easy task to get one of these installed in your bathroom), diligently, courteously, and did an extremely professional job. Cleaned up afterwards and left things neat. I'm very happy with the fan and it works great.

Recent Review: Contractor showed up time, promptly completed work, and even gave me a recommendation for another contractor on a follow-up service needed.  In retrospect, I wish I would have shopped in the store in advance and have a couple of exhaust fan options.  The contractor had a limited supply of exhaust fans.

Recent Review: Working with Sean was awesome. He took the time to evaluate the job, offer suggestions on how and where to cut in, fish, place the switches, etc. and get it done the best way possible. Very neat, clean, thorough work with minimal wall surgery. Makes my job of repairing the wall easy. The job was a little more than quoted but I expected that because the original quote was given over the phone from my description. I knew once the electrician saw the job it would be more than the quote but I believe the final cost was very fair. I would not hesitate to hire Nordeast Electric again. I can't express enough how pleased I am with Sean's work and how well this job went.

Recent Review: I needed electrical for a new kitchen exhaust vent. Because of our layout the installation was complicated, but the electrician did a nice job without cutting any extra holes in our walls. The company gives free estimates and charges $85 per hour plus materials. I was happy with the finished job, and will call them again if I need future electrical help.

Recent Review: I came by Midwest Electric quite by accident.  I set out to purchase an exhaust fan but I needed it installed. The store referred me to Midwest Electric. The technician met all of those required pluses... punctuality, professionalism and personalism. The final price was much less than first bidded as he replaced the fan with the same type.

Recent Review: The old heater/exhaust fan had burned out. Replacement fans without heat element were smaller than existing ceiling hole. We chose an exhaust fan with a heating element that was a close fit---so no replastering needed. Still not a simple fix, though, because the vent to the roof needed to be enlarged. We were so glad to have an expert handle it!  The job took about 4 hours. Cleanup was excellent. The new fan is super-quiet...and it works.

FService Today!
The technician stole from me! He ran out of parts so stole mine that I had for another project. He didn't ask if he could use them; just told me when collecting the money that he had one of my parts!..He left the electrical panel front off my electrical box and left trash behind. Then had the audicity to charge me over $1000!! Work was substandard as all 3 fans have a 15 second delay. Service Today did offer to come back to put electrical panel front back on and check out the delay. I requested a partial refund as I don't want a thief in my home again. My request for a partial refund was denied. Service Today did offer to pay for the stolen part, however, not my time to buy another. Will NEVER use these thieves again!

This was exactly what I wish every service experience was like. The communication was punctual and courteous, Jesse communicated his arrival and was on time. He looked at my projects, prepared the estimate and proceeded with the tasks methodically and professionally.
