Business Description: After working for a general contractor for 12 years doing mostly churches, clinics, schools and commercial remodels. The company started going more for the construction management approach, and only doing finish work (doors, hardware, trim, cabinets, and countertops). I realized that I was missing the remodeling aspect of things and starter my own company. Where I could control and do the type of construction that I enjoy.

ASazama Design Build Remodel
WE HAD TWO BIDS FOR THE JOBS, BASED ON ARCHITECT'S DRAWINGS AND SPECS. BOTH BIDS WERE NEARLY THE SAME, BUT DON WAS ABLE TO MEET OUR TIME REQUIREMENTS BETTER. FOR A LARGE JOB WITH MANY POTENTIAL PITFALLS, I DOUBT WE COULD HAVE HAD A BETTER RESULT. THE WORK WAS EXCELLENT, AND THE PROCESS WAS VERY CONSIDERATE AND THOUGHTFUL. WE LIKED THE JOB AND THE PEOPLE SO MUCH THAT WE GAVE THE CREW A PARTY AFTER THE JOB WAS COMPLETE. SUBSEQUENTLY, WE HAVE USED THEM FOR OTHER SMALLER JOBS, LIKE INSTALLING A PORCH RAILING OR REPAIRING EXTERIOR TRIM PRIOR TO PAINTING. IN THESE CASES, RESULTS WERE EQUALLY EXCELLENT. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

AKirch Improvements LLC
It went really well. The garage trim fix was simple enough. John and his team replaced the rotted wood and then wrapped the trim in aluminum. The 2nd piece of this project was unique. We have 2 bump outs that hang over the side of the house and they were never properly enclosed by the last home owner. John replaced some of the rotted wood, installed new cedar siding where it was necessary, and then he enclosed the bottom side of the bump outs with aluminum soffit. It was a tight space to work in and it took some creativity and a few runs to get more materials, because it was a unique project. I appreciate John's willingness to take this project on. I'm going to have him come back to install a new front door and will definitely use Kirch Improvements again in the future.

ATHE HOUSE DOCTOR
He did a very nice job and was great to work with. I have used him for all kinds of work, usually helping with a larger project that I am doing myself. Plumbing, moving electrical outlets, quaring doorways, etc. He makes it possible to tackle many larger jobs on my own.

ALABONTE CONSTRUCTION
During the process of preparing my old home for sale and purchasing a new home that needed extensive updating I learned that contractors themselves know best who the best tradesmen in the area are.   Dave La Bonte has assembled an "all star" cast of specialists that provide top QUALITY workmanship including electrician Rob of Brighter Connections, Paul of Budiac Plumbing, cabinet maker Skip of Country Craftsman, the very personable carpenter Leno and Jake of Infinity Roofing.  They work together efficiently to get the job done faster and with greater quality than expected.  All this at a very reasonable price that may not be an outright bargain but is certainly a good value.  I needed a complete kitchen and bathroom remodel including demolition, porcelain tile floors, new custom cabinets with granite countertops, exterior trim repair, bedroom closets, a new shower and electrical and plumbing updating.  When confronted with unexpected problems like water damage from a leaking skylight, Dave recommended installing a sliding door rather than replacing a window and it turned a bad situation into a better kitchen design.  Dave and his team are young and strong enough to vigorously handle the job but experienced enough to bring judgment and innovation to the design.  Dave and Leno were a pleasure to work with and always maintained a clean job site. Dave is busy and in demand so expect to wait a while before he can begin a major project.  Take the time upfront to work with him on his detailed contract as he can be trusted to live up to his end of the deal.  Expect about a two week wait from the time the cabinets are installed until the granite countertops are available from the granite vender (Summit Granite in this case).  I am currently in this two week waiting period but expect to supply some "before and after pictures" shortly.

AStack's Services
I hired Stack Services to do a list of lender-required repairs for house that I recently purchased. I had a few other estimates which were much higher and another about the same. I was impressed with Greg Stack and his electrician when I met them and knew that this was the crew that I wanted to work with. Greg Stack was always pleasant, had great communication skills and was a perfectionist. I couldn't believe how much he got done each day! He and his subcontracted crews were prompt and finished the job well within the time allowed by the lender. It was great experience! I would highly reccommend Stack Services for any home repairs, and will definitely call him again in the future. Thanks Greg!

A2 Man Crew
He does great work. It's hard to keep up with him. If he is too busy, he will tell you. Work approx 11/04. The person in the home before me had made a make-shift door that wasn't weatherproofed or insulated. It rotted, caused the trim to rot and 2 man crew came out and put in new door, and fixed trim. Replaced all the studs as well. Also fixed the wall. He added the matching vinyl trim for no extra charge, which was special order. The best worker and most professional I've ever met.

FRetro Home Services
We hired Retro home services in summer of 2010. The owner, Jay Smet, gave a very extensive bid and seem to demonstrate a professional attitude with a small new company so we decided to go ahead. Overall, we were extremely dissatisfied and would NEVER recommend this company to anyone. The process took several months to complete even though estimated to take a few days to a week at most. The crew was pleasant but different each day. Therefore, there was very little to no communication day to day during those months as to plan, when it will be finished, etc. Clean up left a lot to be desired and ultimately, my husband and I had to do a lot of this. Lots of equipment left in our yard for weeks on end. When we called to voice our concerns, appointments were set up to discuss but then the owner had to cancel often or never showed. However, we did see him when he needed his payments. There was additional construction work done on soffits etc. We were given a verbal estimate to complete this work (on top of original bid) so we proceeded and had the work done. However, we never received a bill until 6 mos later and it was grossly overestimated in time and material AND it stated that the bill was 6 months overdue when we had never received that bill prior. When we called about this, the office manager said that maybe the bill was sent without a stamp and therefore, we never received. Overall, we were very dissatisfied. There was lots of good customer service upfront but this rapidly deteriorated as the project started. Please do not be fooled by this company!
