Recent Review: Louis came to our home only two days after our first contact, and did a full exterior inspection where he pointed out a couple of easy repairs we could make ourselves to keep water from entering the crawlspace. He then entered the crawl space and did a full interior inspection with photos and video. He explained to us that he did not think the problem we had noticed was much to worry about, and that no repairs were needed. He did explain that he found a small amount of mold growth, and recommended that we have that cleaned, and that we have ventilator fans installed to inprove air circulation in the crawlspace which would eliminate future mold growth. My wife and I were amazed. Louis had driven almost an hour and half, spent over an hour doing his inspections, and explaining his findings to us, and then said that his company was not needed to fix the minor problems we have. In my opinion, a completely honest contractor is hard to find, and this is one I would recommend fully without question.

Recent Review: Very professional group. Seth and his work partner came in and got right to work digging trenches around the foundation and jack hammering our basement floor for drainage pipes to be put in and encapsulating our crawl space walls and floor. The work was so clean and professionally done. After they jackhammered the floors on the interior basement walls, they put rock and special drainage pipes leading to a sump pump. When they were done with the pipes and had reconcreted the floor, they put a special encapsulation up the walls to ground level. It looks amazing. We couldn't be more pleased with the workmanship. At the end, they tested the system with us to show us how it all worked and what we could expect from the pump system.

Recent Review: I HAD A VERY GOOD EXPERIENCE FROM THE BEGINNING TO THE END OF THE PROCESS. THE OWNER CAME OUT AND SPOKE WITH ME ABOUT THE WORK THAT NEEDED TO BE DONE. SHE WAS VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE AND EXPLAINED EVERYTHING. THE ESTIMATE WAS LESS THAN WHAT SHE ORIGINALLY QUOTED AND THE WORKERS WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND THEY COMPLETED EVERYTHING IN THE TIME FRAME THEY SAID THEY WOULD.

Recent Review: We called Matt one morning when we realized that the heating and air duct in the crawl space had become detached and was just blowing cold air into the crawl space instead of into our home. Matt came out that same evening to fix the problem. He said that he usually does not come out for just one item but that he would do it for us due to the urgency of the problem. While he was out, he also adjusted the latching mechanism on a door frame so it would properly align with the knob. Matt was very professional and friendly. He charged a very fair price especially considering the fact that he came out the same day as we called and that he came in the evening. We will definitely use him for handyman jobs in the future and will recommend him to friends!

Recent Review: Reason for implementing this project was driven by two requirements: a) existing crawl space hatch was very small and difficult to access b) planned deck construction would obstruct existing access - needed to have it relocated. House is 1950's era, conventional foundation. Initially, finding a contractor was somewhat challenging for this project.  I contacted several companies listed as basement / crawlspace specialists (per internet sites) to no avail.  Mostly these other companies seem to specialize in crawlspace encapsulation services.  Even though they listed "crawlspace access" as part of their offered services; as soon as I began to discuss specifics of cutting through brick veneer & concrete block foundation wall they would quickly decline to quote. Researched general contractors via Angie's List.  A to Z demonstrated decent ratings.  Reviewed their website and decided to call for a quote.  Brian responded as Project Manager and arranged to review the proposed work; along with Tom. I noted that their business card states "Solving problems is our specialty" so I was curious as to whether they would opt to quote.  I provided a detailed description as to how I wanted the access constructed.  Initially my plan was to use purchased metal crawl space doors available through Vestal building products / General Shale & Brick.  These turned out to be unusable therefore custom built doors became the chosen approach.  Tom recommended a fabricator who would be able to manufacture doors and mounting frames precisely as desired.  Cost for the doors was moderate and purchased separately: $450 for (1) 24"x24" and (1) 16"x24".  Construction of the doors and frames was very robust and provided for proper support of the upper courses of brick veneer once the openings were cut.  I also specified there must be a means to secure (lock) the hatches be included in the design. A to Z quoted the job at $2088 for installation (only) each opening.  I had originally estimated somewhere between $1000 to $1500 might be an appropriate amount per opening.  This was the reason for price being graded as a B.  Given the difficulties of finding someone to quote the job and having it performed exactly to my specifications I therefore elected to accept the quote.  Both individuals provided me with a feeling of confidence that the work was fully within their abilities.  This contributed to the decision to move forward.  Their demeanor is quite professional & friendly.  Decision was made to perform one installation for now and delay the 2nd for budgetary aspects. Actual work took place over a period of 3 partial days; to allow for concrete to cure day one and epoxy adhesive on 2nd day.  Overall the work went smoothly.  Communications were good, emails & phone calls were promptly answered and specific requests during the course of the work were carried out to my satisfaction.  Installation was neatly done,  Clean up was thorough.  Overall I was pleased and do recommend them to others.  Currently the intent is to use them again for the second installation in approzimately 6 months.

Reviews in Memphis to Encapsulate Crawl Spaces

ARedeemers Group
Project went well. Our crawl space was gross but not totally terrible. We did renovations on the first floor of our house, and when we pulled up the ceramic tile floor that was in our kitchen, the backside of the tile was covered in mold. I wasn't concerned about having a dirt crawl space or honestly the water in it until then. Kind of assumed out of sight out of mind. They fully encapsulated the crawl space, added a dehumidifier and sump that were appropriate to our size space. Didn't think they were trying to sell me more than I needed. I had to install an outlet in the crawlspace for the dehumidifier, but they told me I would need to. I don't know anyone that wants to spend money on their crawl space, but I wasn't about to have mold all through the house from the moisture coming from below.

Dianne came by to take a look at our crawl space and provide an estimate, but before doing so, she explained in detail her background and what services her company provides. Dianne is very genial and warm, so easy to talk to. Once she inspected our crawl space, she stated what we believed to be true, that we really don't have a moisture problem and likely no mold either. We received an estimate from her within a couple of days (if not the next day) that was a quarter of the prior two estimates we had gotten. Her crew that performed the work were very courteous, professional and neat. They couldn't have been nicer. They removed the old insulation and vapor barrier, cleaned the wood (no mold, just discoloration) and installed new insulation and a new vapor barrier. They also, at my request, inspected the crawl space vents and made sure they were all open. Upon completion of the work, Cesar (the crew chief) showed us before and after pictures. What a difference! We are very pleased with the work performed and feel that we got great value for our dollars. They cleaned up the work area (each day) and you could not even tell that they had been there. Would highly recommend Remedics Restoration and would not hesitate to call them again if the need arises.

The access to my crawl space was blocked by attractive brickwork and the attic was blocked by inside wire screens at both ends of the house. It was all completed in a couple of hours. I would definitely hire them again.

Great work, You should always oversee any big job on your house for the small things to be sure are done. But just like the before after on web site that what basement/crawlspace are now like and big big difference on A/C and humidity. A/C is colder and running less. 90yr old dank basement is now white and bright. It's worth the investment.

They just gave me a verbal price. I wasn't interested in that type of investment. It was somewhere in the neighborhood of $10000 to $20000, might be closer to $20000. They were really good. There wasn't a problem with that at all.
