Recent Review: The installer came in advance of the installation date to make sure the subflooring was ready.  He had to lay floor leveler in a couple of spots, on a couple of days.  Then his crew got the floating floor installed in one day.  The installer was very knowledgeable and his crew friendly.

WELLHOUSE FLOORING & DECORATING
Recent Review: Wellhouse installed flooring for multiple homes in my area. More than not had significant problems, some requiring whole floors to be ripped out and redone. On our floors, they did not meet manufacturer specifications for making floors level. Ridges with >1/4" clearance under level, with tolerance at no more than 1/8" per 10 feet. They did not follow manufacturer's requirements for an absolutely smooth surface, did not follow manufacturer's instructions for materials to use under floor. Originally denied their company sealed the gypcrete beneath, which would mean all the glue holding down the tiles would come up. Later then claimed to have done it. The floor is a soft tile, and shows ripples and bulges, which mar the beauty of the materials. The floor was $10.50 a square foot. They were required to seal the surface with 4 coats of urethane. They somehow missed a 6" x 1" strip in a doorway. I am doubtful that the same 6 inch strip in a traffic area was missed 4 times, and suspect they did not seal floors according to manufacturer requirements. Their installation has voided the company warantee on the materials. The rep from company that made the tile reviewed photos of the floor, and called it "unprofessional" and said that it should be replaced by "a qualified installer." Flooring installations in the majority of other houses I know they worked on had significant defects, including wrong size & color of tile. Whole floors had to be ripped up and redone. Their "fixes" for problems were worse than the problem, often. Debris was tiled over, despite manufacturer instructions to vacuum floor before laying the tiles. Their "solution" was to whack the places with debris with a mallet, reasoning it would smash the debris into the gypcrete. The tile is a soft, bendable material. It is a no-brainer that whacking a soft thing on top of a hard thing would of course damage the back side of the tile. They have agreed to replace some of the flooring, but not all. We are in negotiations now, and have chosen another type of flooring that is more "idiot proof." I have been told that instead of removing the baseboards to allow the 1/4" needed for a floating floor, they will just go up to the baseboards, then slap a quarter round on top of it. When thicker floors transitioned to thinner floors, they did not meet the ADA requirements. Some had an edge about 1" high, which would not allow ease of use for walkers are wheelchairs. Footprints were tracked from the sealed floor, across the ceramic tile. The ceramic tile is the wrong color.

Recent Review: John was initially at our home to price tiling our kitchen, which was about to be fully gutted for a remodel.  When he heard we were upgrading the kitchen to resell our home, he recommended a much better price option of the high end click together vinyl product --a product I had never heard of.  It looks great, and saved us on the need to lower our current subfloor in addition to costing less than tile.  The result is gorgeous.  I'm kitchen proud and the flooring really pulled it together. John was extremely responsive in communicating--answered an email I had sent right away with a phone call.  He also worked with us on the right date to come in for installation during our step by step remodel process.  He was great with our pets and we felt comfortable having him in our home.

Recent Review: I called Bob to look at the small job and give me an estimate. He was happy to do it, and that he was confident he could find flooring that would closely match the existing flooring. He did the work during the day while I was at work. When I got home, he had installed the flooring with wood he had reclaimed from a similar home; it was the exact manufacturer as the flooring in my house! The flooring looks great; while it's not an exact match, I don't think a closer match could be found anywhere. The joints are tight, and you can't tell the work was done. Bob was conscious of keeping the area neat and clean, doing most of the cutting out doors to keep the dust down in the house. After installing, Bob gave me pointers on how to refinish the flooring myself, going so far as to suggest where to get the best floor refinishing products. Bob is a pro, a nice guy and I highly recommend him.

Recent Review: We checked out four different vendors, of which Walgenmeyer's was one. In the end, Walgenmeyer's had the quality and price we were looking for. We wanted to replace nearly 20-year-old linoleum in the kitchen. We wanted a wood look but not wood. We chose a vinyl product that looks like wood but is much easier to care for. It was installed over the existing linoleum and is a floating floor. It was installed in a few hours by veteran professionals. It goes very well with our cabinets and looks terrific. Our carpeting was of a similar vintage. While it was an excellent product when originally installed, it had wear spots and stains that could not be removed. It was time for something new. We chose a plush that would be used in two bedrooms with their closets, a greatroom encompassing living, dining, and sun room, and stairs to the basement. The installation was planned for two days. For the first day, we had removed all of the furniture out of the bedrooms. Walgenmeyer's would have moved all of our furniture for us, but we elected to do that ourselves. The two installers carpeted the bedrooms and closets in a little over two hours. We had the rest of the day to move all of the furniture into those two bedrooms. We were able to move everything except for a large reclining sofa and a china cabinet. The second day the now four installers took the two-piece china cabinet apart and moved it into one of the bedrooms. They moved the sofa to one end of the greatroom while they started carpeting from the other end. They finished the installation in just less than four hours. They put the sofa back in its original location and reassembled the china cabinet and put it back where it belonged. They took away all the old carpeting, cleaned up after themselves, and were gone. From the initial sale through the installation, everyone we worked with was professional and accommodating. We are thrilled with the result!

Recent Review: We were shopping around for plank vinyl flooring. He gave us a few minutes to look without crowding us, then came around to help. His estimate was far below others and he was immediate with a price quote. It's an easy to install floor, but we needed to get the product pretty quick. He called me the next morning (before the other guy we we working with even got back to me on a price match possibility) and I ordered the floor then and we were able to pick it up at the distributor's warehouse, which was closer to home and much more efficient. Shopping to pick up time was less than 24 hours. That's my kind of action! :)Scott seems to know his stuff and was right on his game. I will be going back to him for other items and quotes for sure! THANKS Scott!!

Randy Kraemer Builders LLC
Recent Review: We are very pleased with Randy's remodel of our kitchen. He removed old cabinets, plumbing, wiring, floors, ceiling and walls. His crew rewired and re-plumbed the kitchen to our specifications. He put in new insulation, new flooring, new ceiling and walls. His electrician installed new ceiling lights and new switches per our direction. Randy installed new custom kitchen cabinets, his crew installed flooring, countertops, sink, gas lines and plumbing. Randy installed a range hood/fan and vented it up through the roof. Randy is a very talented carpenter and built our kitchen exactly as we requested, including some custom carpentry work. Some changes we made during the course of the remodel were quickly and easily accommodated. I wish I could provide before and after photos in this review. He was prompt and professional, with the added benefit of being a nice guy to have a conversation with. My wife and I highly recommend Randy Kraemer.

Recent Review: Due to his efforts (and ours, of course) our home sold within one day of listing with the realtor. I would highly recommend Jim as a trusted and capable painter and handyman. I hope that someone needing his expert assistance will read this and find a solution to their problems, as we did. We are planning on asking him to help us paint our new place (when we find it) and hang the more complex items on the walls!
