Called to replace weather stripping around front double doors. Came on time, very pleasant. However, weather stripping was not put on correctly, caught in door all the way around as it was nailed on too close to the door, and was actually intruding into the doorjamb. As a result, the rubber bushing was caught in the door and ruined the paint. Doors had JUST been painted, ergo need for new weather stripping. Called to come back and re-do and after several calls, returned to fix. I asked that the work be discounted, as the door was going to need to be partially repainted and the repair problem should have been obvious at the time the work was completed. Company refused to make any adjustment on the work, and left me a message that per the workman, there was just a spot of paint off at the bottom of the door. In reality, entire right side of the door was ruined, which I had pointed out to him. I did pay the bill as I do not have the time to dispute but I did notify company that I would write a review on Angie's list. I was very disappointed with the experience overall, had to pay for substandard work and still need to repaint the door.

Installation was fine except for the gap between extender and bottom of door. He worked on it and went to hardware store to buy and install weather stripping plus found some leeway on storm door to close the gap. Tenacious and creative.

AAffordable Handyman & Remodel
I purchased a Groupon to have some small stuff done at the house while we determine what we want to do on our home remodel. Steve arrived on time and was well prepared for the work since I had reviewed the tasks with his wife when I scheduled the appointment. He installed the cat door and fixed our front door. WHAT A DIFFERENCE! No more slamming and having a hard time unlocking the door! I talked with Steve about a lighting project that we are considering and he spent some time explaining options to install lights with our cathedral ceilings. Steve was great... A great experience... Will be calling him back as more projects come up.

They were very prompt, and I thought the gentleman who helped me was professional and courteous. Initially, I was going to be charged a flat rate, but he was able to complete the work much quicker than he anticipated. When I pointed this out, he was agreeable and switched my billing from a flat rate to hourly. However, I still feel that the work was overpriced.

The shelf turned out fine, however the plastering not so much. The surface is not flat and I will need to have somebody else come in and put in another layer of spackle. The weatherstripping is OK. He was a little bit difficult to deal with. He did things his way without consulting me and I needed more consultation than that.

Almost all of the work will have to be redone. The site was left messy. Weather stripping is worse then before, mail box was not as discussed. Doors were not adjusted. Work was not of high enough quality that I would even ask them to come back and do the work that was not done or fix was was repaired poorly.

He came out to look at the job and told me he would get back with me later. He never got back with me.
Recent Review: Noam, the owner, was very friendly, professional, knowledge, reliable and reasonable. He was officially the first contractor that I've ever worked with that finishes on schedule. Then his crew was nothing but professional with big smiles. Their finishing touches were perfect, I don't think I could have had a better experience. Just the perfect team doing the perfect job. I'm thankful.
Recent Review: He did plumbing, mechanical, painting, and carpentry work for us. He was very professional, reliable, and on time. Competent in workmanship and is very skilled. Did a complete job from start to finish and cleaned up after himself. He gave a bid proposal on line and his prices are very reasonable. I would definitely recommend him to others.

Recent Review: I called John for a number of tasks, ranging from medium [re-hanging two garden gates and patching a wall crack] to smaller [weather-stripping two doors and fixing window latches. John was responsive, returning my call and making an appointment to visit. He went over the various jobs and then got back to me soon with an estimate and we agreed to proceed.Part of the job turned out to be more extensive than expected [one of the gates required repair and partial rebuilding owing to termite damage], and, as always, additional small tasks came along.John completed the various jobs in a reasonable time frame, and always kept me abreast of his progress and any issues. The work was professional and skilled and he left the area clean at the end.I will definitely be calling John in the future when I have similar jobs.
Recent Review: Tito and his staff did an excellent job! He was very professional and easy to work with. It was great that they were able to do the handyman-type work in addition to the painting. He quoted me on just replacing part of a door moulding but once they began the work, they decided on replacing the entire door moulding which looks better and they didn't charge me extra. He also didn't charge me extra for replacing the warped section of the barge board and he did an excellent job with that as well.I got three estimates and Tito's price was better than any of the others by a lot. He was able to start soon after accepting his quote and he finished in three days as he estimated.I will definitely be calling him when I need any more painting or handywork!
Recent Review: Scheduling an appointment was easy. Office staff was very helpful. The serviceman arrived promptly and I reviewed the work that needed to be done with him. He went to a nearby building supply store only a mile from my home and purchased the non slip strips.. After installing the non slip strips, he then nailed up two fence boards that had come down. He inspected a motion sensor light and repositioned the sensor.. He changed an oven light bulb for which I already had a replacement. He installed some weather stripping I had in the back door, but it was too thick and the door wouldn't close. He was running out of the contracted time and so he removed the weather stripping and advised me about what to do about closing the gaps in the back door. He inspected and gave me an estimate for refinishing the front door. I was unhappy with the time it took to accomplish these simple tasks and with the price --- $305 for labor and $154 for materials. (I understand and agree with the travel time and mark-up). I complained to the owner, Dave Silverman. After hearing the details outlined above, he made a generous adjustment in the price of the work. I have used this provider in the past and was very happy with his work. I would not hesitate to recommend him. He is honest and fair and will try to rectify anything that goes wrong with your visit. His workers are knowledgeable and competent. I think his prices are high, but you get what you pay for.
