Larkin Plumbing
Recent Review: Very high quality workmanship. Excavated around both risers for the underground gas line to the pool heater. Performed everything in compliance to building codes, including an inspection by Southwest Gas and Clark County Building inspections. Corrected code violations to existing installation and discovered and repaired two major leaks in the line. Very expensive repair, but worth the cost.

Recent Review: MC Plumbing did an excellent job.  I had the plumber tap into the fire place gas line.  The plumber ran a 7 foot new line to the back patio for a BBQ hookup.  They did the gas plumbing and I did the drywall repair and stucco.  I am very happy with the results!!

Recent Review: Pure Plumbing advertises 24/7 response. I called on a Saturday night and immediately an was able to set up an appointment immediately. Steve, the plumber, arrived on time. Pure sends out a message with a photo of the plumber and the ETA, followed by a notice when the plumber is in the neighborhood. Work began quickly with disposal of old heater followed by modification of both gas lines and plumbing to accommodate the tankless heater. The work required was extensive, as the gas line had to be changed to a larger diameter pipe. Location of the gas line was similarly changed to get past the garage door. Work took approximately a day. Given the complexity of the modifications, Work was done quickly and efficiently. New heater needed only cleaning of internal filter, then worked well to all parts of a 3000 sq. foot home. Our only delay was in securing city approval for the modifications--largely due to problems with the gas company, who was unable to schedule hook-up of new gas line in a timely manner. Gas company rep who did the hook-up was excellent. City inspector commented on high quality of plumbing work. Garage was cleaned following work. Tankless heaters are expensive, but costs fell within competitive range.

Recent Review: "Mic" from Rakeman came out within 4 hours of my service request and did an excellent job installing everything for an incredibly fair price.  That morning I had a scheduled appointment with another company whom I thought would do the job until I heard their estimate cost of $676.00.   With Sears coming the next day to deliver a new electric range I frantically started searching Angies for another company. So glad I called Rakeman.  Their prices are  affordable and reasonable.  I will use them again in the future.

Recent Review: Went very well. They arrived on time, had everything they needed with them. They allowed us to purchase our own drain pan and earthquake straps and installed them for a minimal fee. Van explained that the original workmanship was shoddy and brought everything up to o code for an sutra fee. Cleaned up everything and hauled all away. Very satisfied!

Recent Review: We just moved and took our gas stove with us, but upon trying to install it in the new house realized that the fittings wouldn't work. Southwest Gas recommended that we call a plumber. When I called Jack Dish on New Year's Day, I didn't expect a callback until the next day. But, surprisingly Jack called me back later that same day and I explained to him our issue. He said they would be able to come out the next day and would call me in the morning. When I spoke with David the next day, it turned out they were having some car issues (I think two of their cars broke down that day and had to be towed), but they promised to be there within a few hours. And just as promised, Jack showed up and immediately began working on the stove. He had to go get a part at one point, but was finished fairly quickly. He was polite, professional, and made sure everything was working properly (all burners were working, etc.) before he left. I'd say that overall it was a good experience and I would use them again if I needed to.

After my last review, they called and offered to refund my previous fees. I accepted and removed some of the reviews on other sites but cannot on Angie's list. So at least they did took a deeper look into the complaint and showed a fair apology.

Bob was excellent! The appliances we ordered from another company arrived and we discovered the stove we purchased did not sit flush against the wall because the gas line was protruding. It needed to be dropped lowered for the unit to fit correctly. We called Anytime Plumbing (on a Saturday) and within 30 minutes Bob was at our doorstep. He gave us a no-obligation quote. We were happy with the price and told Bob to go ahead with the job. While he was working, the installers for the dishwasher arrived. They did not have the proper materials to vent the dishwasher. They didn't have a solution other than to let us fend for ourselves. Bob stepped in and said he could do the job. Again, gave us the price and then went to get the materials. He worked quickly and efficiently, explaining his progress as he went along. He is a very friendly and knowledgable plumber. We just moved into our house and were unfamiliar with this particular type of plumbing system and Bob took a minute to explain some general things and point out a few key features. None of which he was obligated to do, but all of which was very appreciated.

Never showed up for appointment. Somebody called my at 6pm, as they were closing, and said they were sorry they were not in my area that day and couldn't get to me. Are you kidding me? I had a scheduled appointment for an estimate, not a maybe we'll show up if available. They tried to excuse themselves because the estimate is free. Why didn't they just call me earlier and tell me they couldn't make it? If they can't show up for the estimate, how can I trust they'll show up for the job? Will they show up after the job if there's a problem? Maybe they'll be too busy. This isn't the first company I've dealt with that is simply too busy to place a phone call. I don't know. Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe companies so busy they can't call you is a sign they're the best. The company I went with for the job called, texted and even sent out an email.

Dan came over for a quote and was available right then to fix the gas pipe so our new stove can be installed. They are very nice, punctual and have comparable prices. I'm very happy with their work.

The experience was okay overall. After they did the work, about two months later, the unit failed completely and I had to replace it. They fixed our immediate problem at the time, but I think they could’ve foreseen the bigger issue. I did not use them for the replacement.
