AB Morath Bathroom Remodeling
Bruce was extremely professional, honest and conscious of his work. He took the time to go over several options, and there are alot! He went over positives and negatives of different materials. He gave me the choice to buy materials I desired, versus going with his contractors, hence saving me some money. What I had: 2x2 white tiles through out the bathroom. Those tiles became loose in the shower and caused water damage in walls. Stained fiberglass shower floor. Oval shaped shallow bathtub, double sinks that where about 1" above the tile. When you washed your face, water dripped down your arms onto the counter. White floors and white walls. Gold tone faucets. What he did: 1/2" cement board in shower and tub area. A one piece cultured marble shower pan with edges about 2" high. Earth tone ceramic tile with decorative borders and edges, granite counter tops, with sunk in sinks. Now when I wash my face any water that falls off my arms, you simply scoot into the sink! Granite around jacuzzi soaking tub with nice edge to sit on after a bath. For the granite I went down to tile store picked out a slab. Bruce sent his guy over to do all the measurements with a "lazer". This enabled us to use one large slab of granite for counter top, back splash and around the tub. New cabinets, gold fixtures, lighting, mirror, medicine chest, frameless glass shower door in brass hinges, new ceramic tile floor with 1"border. He completed work on time and was a delight to have work in my home. I did the painting and the only thing we kept is the commode! As a note, he used a new caulking product around the marble shower pan that did not live up to manufacture specifications. Of course he came back and replaced with a silicone based caulking. And of course no charge. He is licensed, insured & bonded. P.S. My cats enjoyed his work as well, checking out every day after he & his crew left! I look forward to having him retile my entry way some day. Yes, my 1991 house has all white tile there too. AQUALITY BATHTUB REFINISHING
The project went very smoothly. The serviceman showed up on time and was diligent about running to Lowe's when he needed hardware. The results are better than I expected and it really does look like new. The price was higher than competitors, but the quality of the job was top notch. In addition to replacing the hardware, he also replaced the cartridge which fixed a leak that I'd had for months! This was my guest bath -- so I don't use it often. I discovered a month after the fact that the hot water was not working correctly. The serviceman came back diligently and remedied the problem as part of his guarantee. The difficult thing is that the process results in an extreme amount of fumes, and I had this done during a hot time of year that made it difficult to escape outside. I'd suggest doing this process at a time when you don't have to stay inside your house. The fumes lasted a day or two.

ATim's Handyman Services
The house was built with an open-air deck above one half of the garage, and the garage completely sheet rocked, textured, and painted.  A water leak developed in the deck a while ago and damaged the ceiling below.  The deck was resealed and tested, and we finally got around to having the garage ceiling repaired.  I had Tim of Tim's Handyman Services come out, look it over and give me an estimate.  I was favorably impressed and we scheduled the work.  Tim and an assistant arrived on the scheduled day and began removing the damaged sheet rock.  At this point  it was found that the ceiling was insulated with fiberglass batts which were somewhat moldy.  The old batts were removed, the area cleaned with bleach, and, after a trip to the store, replaced.  New sheet rock was then installed,  taped and sanded, then sprayed with popcorn texturing to match the rest of the ceiling.  The entire job was done in two days and looked great.  The estimated price was adjusted to cover the new insulation and was very reasonable.  I was extremely satisfied with all aspects of the job.  Before he left, I had Tim look at a concrete patio I wanted tiled, and he is doing that job even as I write this review.

AMiracle Solutions
Tony was the  technician who did the work.   He was right on time and immediately went to work, doing all the preliminary things neccessary before getting to the actual resurfacing.  The outcome is beautiful and we are so pleased.   Thank you Tim, Tony and Doris.  You were all so friendly and helpful in answering questions and explaining things.  As with all other comments, the strong chemical smell was the only drawback .... but that goes away after a day or two of airing out with the windows open.  A small price to pay for the amount of money saved.

ALike New Tub Repair & Refinishing
My husband and I just purchased a new home that needed quite a few repairs. The master bath was in bad shape. The home inspector said the shower pan needed to be refinished ASAP or it would need to be replaced in the near future (very costly). He specifically said to find a professional who specialized in fiberglass ~ not a handyman. So I signed into Angie's List and found Darryl. Upon our initial conversation he asked that I send him pictures of the damage. He gave me options for both the shower pan and the double sink vanity. He let me know that the shower pan could either be patched or completely refinished ~ the patching he said would be much less expensive. He also said the sink bowls could be refinished. Larry showed up as scheduled. Unfortunately due to a misunderstanding between Darryl and I, Larry didn't have the equipment to repair the sinks. Larry did explain the options concerning the bowls. Larry did a beautiful job on the shower pan ~ it looks and feels brand new!! I spoke with Darryl about the misunderstanding on the vanity. He followed up with Larry then sent me a very detailed email explaining what could and could not be done. The severe damage to the vanity top could not be repaired but the bowls could be refinished. I opted to just have the top replaced. I really appreciate the fact that Darryl gives you options on the repairs. He could have easily taken advantage of my husband and I but he didn't. It's so refreshing to deal with a business owner who is honest and has integrity. I will definitely refer Darryl and his company to my friends and family. I have already told my real estate agent about them!

ATim's Handyman Services
I'm glad I consulted Angie's list before hiring a handyman.  Tim was the highest rated handyman on here and he deserves every bit of his rating.  He made two trips to our house.  On the first, he fixed a door that was sticking; our back door.  I had also wanted him to fix the front doors (metal) that were sticking too.  However, that was not really possible because we had some cracks in the door jamb that I had not noticed.  He showed me and explained that he needed to replace the doors, casing and trim.  I also asked him to put down new thresholds for the front and back doors.  He called his door supplier and gave me an estimate that day and put me on the schedule for 12/27.  He's a very busy guy (because he's so good), so scheduling is a bit far out.  It was worth the wait. On the day he was scheduled to work, Tim and his associate showed up 15 minutes early.  They were very kind and courteous.  We didn't even talk about what to do with the old doors, so I just thought I would wait and see what happened.  They demoed out the old front doors and hauled them off (put them in the trailer while they finished the job).  Then they installed the new front doors which we had ordered.  They are fiberglass and very nice.  Much quieter.  Tim installed the new hardware we had purchased, the peep hole, which the door company had forgotten to drill and the new thresholds, both front and back.  He even let me pick out the trim for the new front doors. I went with his suggestion between the different styles and it looks AMAZING!  They did a SUPER job cleaning up.  No construction debris anywhere, the only dust I found was on the door, but I'm guessing he didn't want to attack that with a Shop-Vac because it would have marked it.  No biggie, I wiped it off with a cloth.  If Angie's List had an A+, Tim would get one.   I have flipped over 30 houses in my former life in Kansas.  I never had a tradesman or handyman with Tim's skill level or depth of knowledge.  He would have made my life a lot easier in the old days.  We will hire him again next time we need something.  Just thinking I have a couple of stuck windows he could fix...   Tim's Handyman Service, in Henderson, is the BEST!  You can't go wrong with them.  Don't hesitate.  Call them first.

FLV House Doctor
I first contacted LV House Doctor on March 28, 2014. The owner Tim Crosbie surveyed the property the week of April 2nd and on April 8th I received an estimate in the amount of $22,175. On April 10th, Tim and foreman Drew came to my house. and I was presented with a contract for $16,455 plus Flooring Costs (which was estimated between $4626 and $5720). The contract covered the following. Sand, Skin coat and Texture Living Room and Dining Room 2 Coats of Primer and Full interior paint to include All Walls and Ceilings Contractor to replace ALL interior doors with Pine Wood Doors and Casings Contractor to replace Front Door with new pre hung fiberglass door (650 allowance) Contractor to Custom Stain and apply 2 coats of lacquer clear coat to all doors and casings Contractor to remove 228 linear foot existing baseboard and install new custom stained pine baseboard to match new doors and casing Contractor to remove existing staircase Contractor to install new staircase trim to include 22 ft handrail with 4? pickets install (5) 2? post and runner Contractor to remove unwanted flooring Contractor to install 520 sq ft New floor, Material and Price TBD Tim had reviewed the house plans (at his suggestion), and determined it was not a Load Bearing Wall. So at this time we agreed to remove the wall (expanding my kitchen) and install new cabinets and counter tops. (this was discussed during original estimate as a phase two of work) Tim told me at that time, that with flooring cost, the kitchen would bring the total to $30,000, and that they could complete the entire job by May 26th before I left town for work (dates are noted on original contract) Per their contract, LV House Doctor required a 1/3 deposit, which I provided in the form of a check for $10,000. Tim called his wife Susan in their office, and instructed her to combine the two jobs and send a new contract for $30,000. this was done in front of Drew, myself and my son Anthony. Despite my many requests, i never received the updated contract. Work began the following Monday, April 14th. On April 22nd, Tim arrived at the property with plans for the Kitchen. At this time, he suggested that I move the Door to the downstairs bathroom (which faced into the den), into the slam garage hallway. He said this would allow for more cabinet space as indicated on the plans. I asked if in the process, they could remove the existing sink and toilet, and install new that I would purchase. He agreed and stated that  he would only charge me for supplies to move the door. On April 29th, Tim came to the property to ask for another check for 1/3 as dictated in the contract at the halfway point. I wrote him a check for $10,000 The work quickly falls apart and grinds to a crawl. The foreman Drew has a cracked fake hip, and in his absence nothing is getting done, despite my many requests that the job needs to be finished by the 26th as planned in order for me to coordinate Carpet install, Furniture delivery, and alarm work. Drew was not replaced as a foreman (and no foreman was on the job) until June 23rd after my many complaints about the work. Jeff, the new foreman, only appeared at my house twice. On May 23rd, Tim comes to my house and vehemently apologizes for the delays. He promises that it will be complete in two more weeks, but politely asks me if I can write him another check so he can pay his workers. He asked for at least $8,000, to which I pointed out, was nearly the full amount of 30k. He again apologized and said he was in a tough spot. I agreed and wrote him an $8000 check, but reiterated that the work needed to be done by June 3rd. I would only see Tim 2 more time after that. Once on June 23rd and once on Sept 9th. His appearance on the 23rd was instigated by several items I spelled out in an email which included my finding a BOTTLE OF URINE in my laundry room. Despite many requests for phone calls or for them to come to the property. Susan made only two appearances. June 19th and Sept 9th.  On November 22nd, after 222 days of this nightmare, I demanded to see Tim, Susan or Both on Monday the 25th and I do not hear from them again. They abandoned the work site leaving dozens of items unfinished, including items that will make it difficult should I decide to sell my home, including their intentional misleading of inspectors regarding lack of power to my affixed kitchen island. On November 26th I had major surgery on my shoulder and began a grueling rehab over my already busy work travel schedule. On January 28th, I receive a 15 notice of intent to lien in the amount of $21,382.76. (Filed Jan 22nd and post marked Jan 26th) LV House Doctor?s attorney Shan Davis included a ?backdated? invoice (April 8, the date of my original estimate) that had a total cost of $49,382.76. This is $19,382.76 more than what was contracted and agreed upon. I immediately called the attorney who agreed to call me back. He did not return my call until I emailed him on January 30th. Mr. Davis replied and we spoke extensively about the disparity in cost, fictitious invoice, abandonment of job, lack of attempt to collect and items left unfinished. At the time, I agreed that I owed $2000 for total contracted amount, $1200 for cost of Granite that I exceeded, however the granite is damaged, and cost of Drywall and wood for bathroom door. I told him that despite the numerous unfinished items, that if his client would provide receipts and proof of costs, that I would be willing to sit down and come to an agreement, just to get them out of my life. I told him that I would get estimates on unfinished items, and we could go from there to prevent a legal battle. He said he would speak to his client and get back to me. Mr Davis called me Friday February 13 at 1:30 pm to inform me that at his clients request, the lien would be filed that day.

The gentlemen that did the work were terrific; it only took me a few minutes to realize that I could trust them in my home by their manner. There are no leaks and everything looks fantastic. I was more than satisfied with the job that they did.
