I have truly hated our fireplaces since we moved into the house but there was always the dilemma of what to do with them. When we finally decided on stone, we came right to Angie's List to find someone reputable. We called Pat over a year ago for a quote, and then the search for stone began. We were unable to find just the right "natural" stone for some time, so the project was delayed until this year. When we called him back, surprisingly, he still had our information and we were able to move forward. We were really hoping to be completed before Christmas and although right down to the wire, he did not disappoint! Pat was always punctual and guided us through the decision making process even when we were unsure. When he said "Trust me", we were happy we did :) He set up an enclosed work area, venting through an exterior window, which greatly minimized any debris, and moved & covered furniture as needed. The family room fireplace was full of odd angles, and at first I was worried that the corners would not have that "finished" look. Pat filled the corners with matching grout and carved out the edges so they blended perfectly. We were unsure how to finish the shelf on the bedroom fireplace and went back and forth between stone edging and wood. Pat brought us samples of wood and helped us come to a decision that we are so happy with! He picked up cornice moulding, rented the proper equipment to mitre the corners, and did an amazing job. It was nice not to have to hire a 2nd person to do the woodworking, which would have delayed completion. Pat was the ultimate professional, takes pride in his workmanship, and I would have to say "a true craftsman". We couldn't be happier with the job he did for us and would highly recommend him!
