I had ADT at my previous house for 6 years with little to no problems, but when I moved and had ADT install at my new place, the experience has been a nightmare. The first salesman that came out was 1 1/2 hours late for the appointment, he was new at this business and stated that the install would be free since I was a relocating customer, so after writing up the work order, he called it in to schedule the install and at that time he told me it would cost me $300.00 to have it installed, after taking up 5 hours of my time I asked him to leave. I called the company the next day and explained what happened, they told me they would send out there best salesperson, At first I was impressed, but when the installer came out too days later, he walked in, looked around and said " they sent the wrong equipment, it will not work with your existing door and window contacts, and that they would have to order the correct equipment. One week later a different installer showed up and started the work, it took him 5 visits to complete the work, I had to call and insist the company send a competent technician to reprogram the system so that it would work correctly. It's finally done, and so am I, the next time I need a security system, It will NOT be ADT. Update: 3/8/2012, Gloria from ADT customer service contacted me after reading my review on Angie's list, she not only apologized for the troubles I had with the Las Vegas dept, but she has waived my past due amount and my next quarter payment and also she'll be contacting the Vegas dept to discuss and correct their problems. I thank ADT for their response to my experience.
