There was a significant disconnect between the initial meeting and estimate and what was delivered. To summarize: Estimate included the removal of 6 hanging lights, pulling same wire to two new locations and the installation of 2 new chandeliers. When it came time to do this work we were informed that it was not included in the estimate (which we had in our hands) and told we would be billed at an hourly rate for this work. Estimate included installation of 10 gimbal-style art lights. Wire was pulled, cans installed. At final installation technician informed us that the cans installed were not the correct cans for the light types that were agreed upon. Estimate included removal of two hanging chandeliers and re-hanging of one. Work was done as expected and estimated. Estimate included install of 9 recessed lights over seating area in living room. Work was done as expected and estimated. Estimate included separation of wiring to single switch. Work was not performed. My biggest concern is that the estimate was done by one person, the pulling of wire and install of cans was done by a different crew, and the final stage install was done by yet another person. No one was on the same page, and the work reflected that. The estimate of $1,800, of which only 2 of 6 tasks were completed, was reduced by $400 to accommodate for ALL THE TASKS THAT WERE NOT DONE. Bill was sent to us with a notice of Lien. I would avoid this contractor.
