Warren is awesome. I have nothing but praise for him. He's a total professional and extremely skilled in what he does. He doesn't do anything halfway. I hired him recently to perform a number of tasks around a house I recently purchased, including building a closet into an upstairs bedroom that lacked one. I was very impressed at how meticulous he was in performing every aspect of the job. The closet he built was so well built that when it was finished it looked like it was a part of the original house! While he was building the closet he was constantly having to go up and down the stairs back and forth down to the garage to measure and cut things. That must have been exhausting for him, but he never complained and got the job done very quickly. He was also very conscientious about making sure he kept everything very clean while he worked, from putting towels on the floor to wipe his feet on each time he went in and out of the house to vacuuming up debris around his work area while he worked. I also had him change several exterior door locks. While he was changing the side door lock that leads from the backyard into the garage Warren had a great idea. He said if someone wanted to break into the house, most likely they'd try to break in through that door. His idea was to add a simple bracket on the interior side of the door that would enable me to place a wooden 2x4 across the door and door frame to provide extra security, preventing anyone from being able to force open the door from the outside even if they were to somehow defeat the deadbolt lock. It probably took him 10 minutes to install that and it works really great! I had him fix several other items around my new home, including tightening a loose stair railing upstairs, removing some large heavy window valences, and fixing a broken wooden strip on the exterior door frame that leads from the master bedroom to the second-story balcony. That wooden strip looked like it was there to provide weather protection and half of it was broken off. Warren said he'd never seen anything like that piece before and wasn't sure where he'd be able to find a replacement part, but he came back a couple of days later and fabricated a custom replacement part there on the spot. In the end, I was extremely happy with all of the work Warren did for me. He always showed up on time (if not early), worked very fast, and was extremely good at everything he did for me. He is a very honest man and provided me with all of the receipts for the materials he used. He only charged me only his hourly rate and didn't jack up the pricing on any of the materials he used. The price Warren charged me for all that work (building the closet, installing several exterior locks, removing the valences, fabricating that custom weather strip on the balcony door, etc.) came out to be about the same as I would have paid if I had gone to IKEA and bought one of their self-standing, non-assembled closet pieces. Instead of getting a cheap quality IKEA closet that I would have had to put together myself, for the same price, Warren built me a permanent built-in bedroom closet that looks like it's part of the original house, as well as doing all those other tasks! In my opinion, the quality of Warren's work is higher than the prices he charges. I told him he should raise his prices because the quality of his work is worth it, but I don't think he will. Warren is truly a gem and is someone I would highly recommend to anyone. He'll be my go-to guy anytime I need anything built or repaired around my home in the future!
