Reviews in Kansas City to Install Bath Exhaust Fan
ADiamond Electric Service Inc
For years we have wanted an overhead light in our dining space which used to be a formal living room. The only light in the room was a lamp that is plugged into a switch-operated outlet. We recently gutted a bathroom and wanted to add an exhaust fan to that space. We have replaced old bath fans before but did not feel comfortable adding new wiring. Figured maybe we could tackle both projects at once. After reading Angie's List reviews, I called Don on a Saturday, expecting to leave a message requesting an appointment for a quote. Don answered the phone and was able to provide an estimate for the bath fan immediately. He was available within a few days to do the work. Don arrived promptly, was very professional and friendly, and treated our house as if it were his own. Ultimately we decided to have him add the dining light while he was here. Even though we have debris everywhere from our tear-out project, he was diligent to protect our floors and clean up any mess from his work. The job was done quickly and it was a pleasure to hire him for this work. I prefer to hire owner-operated businesses and I would not hesitate to call Don again.

Dustin & Chad, who work for Brad, called prior to their appointment to let me know they were on their way. Once they arrived, we went over exactly, what I wanted done. Both Dustin & Chad were extremely polite and courteous. Now for the work, all I can say is FANTASTIC!They do great work and fast. They also did a good job of cleaning up after themselves. Any time they weren't sure about how I wanted something, they asked. I highly recommend Kal Electric and know I'll be using their services again.

FHandyman Connection of Johnson County
It took them 7 weeks to complete the work, even though the actual work took less than a day. I encountered numerous delays on their end, some reasonable and others inexcusable. On multiple occasions, I had to call at least twice to get a response back. The handyman assigned to me had a family emergency, and was very bad at rescheduling. More than once, he told me he would be there and did not show up or even call. When I called the office, I got lots of apologizes and excuses, but few solutions. It would usually take them at least a week before they could "fit me in" with another appointment, despite the fact the handyman was the one canceling. This went on for seven weeks before the work was completed. The customer service was very poor. I probably had at least 10 calls with them. I asked to speak to a manager at least twice, and to this day have yet to hear from one. While the work was eventually completed, I had to have the handyman come back because he wired the switch incorrectly. This again took multiple phone calls and lots of hassle. Be careful, they also charged my credit card for the full amount of the project before the work was completed. Bottom line: I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy.

Great service! Justin discovered our fans had never been vented in the attic. Worked hard to solve problem. Very pleased with results on all projects. Not cheap, but I'm sure that's the going rate for quality electrical work. They will be my go-to-company for electrical work from here on out!

I NEEDED SOME ELECTRICAL WORK DONE AND I CHOSE KAL ELECTRIC FROM HIS STELLAR REVIEWS FROM ANGIE'S LIST.BRAD,THE OWNER CAME OUT PER APPOINTMENT WITHIN A DAY OR SO.DISCUSSED WITH BRAD ALL THE WORK I WANTED DONE. HE SAW MY CEILING FAN WHICH WAS ONLY BRACED ON ONE SIDE HANGING OUT OF THE CEILING(THAT WASN'T EVEN ON MY LIST) BUT HE TOOK IT DOWN BECAUSE HE WAS AFRAID IT WOULD FALL AND SAID HE'S GOING TO FIX THAT .I SHOWED HIM WHERE I NEEDED RECEPTACLES ,THE ATTIC FAN THAT WASN'T PULLING AIR, THE TWO BATHROOMS THAT NEEDED EXHAUST FANS,THE FAULTY RECEPTACLE FOR THE MICROWAVE,AND THE WANT FOR AN OUTSIDE RECEPTACLE. HE INSPECTED MY ELECTRICAL PANELS AND CEILINGS IN THE BASEMENT FOR WIRE PLACEMENT.THEN WE WENT UP TO THE ATTIC TO SEE THE CEILING FAN.HE POINT OUT THE LOOSE WORN BELT AND HOW THE MOUNT WAS NOT SECURE.WE WENT OUTSIDE TO SEE WHERE HE COULD PLACE THE EXHAUST FAN FOR THE BASEMENT FAN. HE TOLD ME HOW MUCH IT WAS GOING TO BE WHICH WAS WHAT I THOUGHT IT WAS GOING TO BE AROUND. I AGREED, HE SET UP AN APPOINTMENT SAID IT WOULD BE ALL DAY WITH A FULL CREW (3). MIKE,DENNIS AND HARRISON ARRIVED 15 MINUTES EARLY AND WORKED ALL DAY.MY HOME WAS BUILT IN 1926 SO THEY HAD TO GO THROUGH LATHE AND PLASTER.FOR THE BASEMENT FAN MIKE DRILLED THRU 31 INCHES OF BRICK AND WOOD . MIKE SHOWED ME THAT THE BLADE HOLDERS ON THE CEILING FAN WERE BENT. HELPED ME ORDER THEM FROM HAMPTON BAY.TOLD ME TO CALL WHEN THE CAME IN AND HE WOULD REPLACE. THESE GUYS WORKED THEIR BACKSIDES OFF! CLEANED UP AFTER THEMSELVES AND ARE INTERESTING TO TALK TO,YOU TOO BRAD. THE COST WAS RIGHT ON. I RECIEVED MY FAN HOLDERS A WEEK LATER BUT I'M LOOKING FOR NEW LIGHTING FIXTURES AND WILL CALL BACK WHEN I'VE PICK THEM OUT.EXCELLENT WORK,EXCELLANT EXPERIENCE

DMVP Electric, Heating & Cooling
MVP was very quick sending someone to do an estimate for my work. I wanted a new bathroom exhaust fan installed. I purchased everything I needed for the work except for the electric wire. I had the fan, the exhaust, switches and covers. The Big deal read THIS OFFER INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING TYPES OF JOBS: Mounting and wiring a new HDTV Installing new lighting dimmers and switches Installing interior or exterior outlets Installing a new ceiling fan or bathroom exhaust fan AND MORE! The estimate I was given was for over $800. After deducting the $225, MVP wanted in excess of $600 additional for work that appears to be covered by the Big Deal. The deal is misleading at best.

Job turned out to be more complicated than expected, but he was very willing to do the extra work to get parts, stay to completion, etc. Great communication. Wore a mask. I would hire again.

He arrived on time - was very polite. Removed the old fans. Put together the new fans out of boxes. Installed fans and got them working. Very nice job. The only negative was that I bought a 3 hour coupon and after the fans were installed, he still had a while left (in the 3 hours), so I asked him to look at some plumbing issues in the basement bathroom. He took a quick look, put some shims around the toilet and said that's all he could do. He didn't really try to fix the leak in the sink. It may have been a bigger deal then what he had time for, but when he left, there was about 30 minutes to go on my coupon. Otherwise, did a very nice job.

We needed a bath exhaust fan in a place that had never had one before. I sent a photo in advance with a description of the project through SnapFix, then discussed my project by phone and Jeff quoted a price, describing the fixture he'd send. When the electrician arrived he got right to work cutting the hole and wiring. When it came time to attach the vent in the attic he was unable to access the attic due to a blocked attic access panel. We'll have to put in a new attic access before the fan can be completed but the light is functional, larger and brighter than what we had and he even made the existing switches work better, one for both lights in that area and one for the fan. The electrician left the area tidy and was pleasant to work with. While the cost was exactly as quoted, based on the time the install took and the cost of an exhaust fan, I estimate being able to save nearly half if I had called out an hourly rate electrician. I saved time in not having an estimate visit but paid for it covering their risk of the unknown. Fusion Electric was easy to work with, the electrician was experienced, and I'd consider using them again at an hourly rate.

He comes in does his job and leaves, which I appreciate since I'm paying by the hour. He knows what he's doing. He's just a really professional young man. He is certified.
Recent Review: Mr. Electric of Clay County was offering a great deal on ceiling fan installation. When I called to make the appointment, they were so polite and helpful, and they were able to schedule my ceiling fan installation right away. The electrician was late to the appointment due to miscommunication, but he more than made up for the delay. The electrical box needed to be replaced , and the wires were a complete mess. He took care of it all without charging me the extra fee. I highly recommend this company.

Recent Review: All installation went well. One ceiling fan was too small for replacement of original but while I exchanged that one Drew continued to work on the other installations and was able to finish everything within the set timeframe.
Recent Review: I have used All Current Electric at least three times. They provide timely service and are very fairly priced compared to the really large companies. Mr. Eric and his staff work efficiently, and take pride in their work.
