Recent Review: Our exterior Brown County Ruble stone wall was in need of major repair...it essentially had to be rebuilt in large sections. We relied on Angie's List to help us select a contractor for this work. The decision was easy, we went with Showecker based on their responsiveness and reasonable price. They did a FANTASTIC job, much better than we could have hoped for, and we most certainly will hire them again the next time we need any time of stone work. Highly recommend!!!

Recent Review: We got a deal from Angie’s List for the dry wall repair. We had 2 different spots that needed to be repaired and both of them fit in 4 hours worth of dry wall repair which was worth $400 and we got it for $150. So we used that and both repairs got covered. They’re reliable and they go above and beyond and are friendly. We moved in just recently so my step mom had to be there for a certain time till they were here so they were a bit late.

Luke Ballard Home Repair, Inc.
Recent Review: Luke came to the house, did a thorough walk through, prepared and delivered a written, detailed estimate. His crews always showed up on time; cleaned up premises each day. Luke was very responsive to questions and two requests for changes. He oversaw the entire project. A plumbing issue came up that was not part of the contract, but was holding up part of the contracted work. Luke took the initiative and resolved the problem promptly. Luke is truly committed to satisfying his customers. He is very trustworthy and holds to his word. He finished the the project ahead of schedule.

I will not hire this contractor ever again!!!!!!!. Beware of hiring this contractor!!! He has anger management issues and is not honest with his pricing. The job was a disaster. The contractor, David Schultz, provided an estimate for the cost of the labor based on the work requested. He initially stated it would take four days to complete. I added some other items which was completed in an additional day, but the project took 9 days to complete because the contractor only worked half days and one day did not show up at all with no notice given. The contractor is an older person with a disability who needs his son as a helper. Because his son went out of town, my work was delayed and the contractor brought in another helper and charged an additional amount for the new helper when the cost of the project had already been agreed on. In addition, I asked about a repair that had been done by this contractor previously, I told him I did not want to pay for a repair, if needed, at this time, and he said he would have his son look at the job. His son looked at the lights on the garage that were not working and stated that new bulbs needed to be added. He purchased the bulbs and charged $64.38 for the job which at this point, I was forced to pay because the owner became very aggressive, shouting and using profanity. This aggressive behavior was shown in the beginning of the project when the owner, thought I had asked his son to do some work when I had not. He assumed in error, and drove into my driveway in an intimidating manner as if he was going to run into my car and began shouting that I had no right to tell his son what to do. At that point, I should have stopped the work and told him to leave. I did not and the work deteriorated after that. I had to constantly ask for do overs on the project pieces. The work on the front portico was left a mess. I had to clean the debris from all over my front steps. This contractor is 20 thumbs down!!!!!!!!

Great job by Bob and his team - could not be happier with the work! We got several quotes, and the Showeckers were by far the best price with the greatest detail on how the work would be done. The project was completed in 2 days. Once it was done, we passed on their name/number to our neighbor to have work done as they were impressed by the work done by Bob and his team.

FKIPP'S SMALL JOBS MASONRY AND CONCRETE LLC
Kipp's Masonry, now Kipp's Small Jobs Masonry and Concrete, LLC owned by Steve Warren, aka Kipp Warren was hired to do work described above. Mr Warren hired the first crew who were not properly grinding old mortar out, but rather just slapping new mortar over existing crumbling mortar. I told Mr. Warren he needed to get rid of this crew. He then hired Ed Warren and Paul C. Turner of Brothers Construction Services. Kipp began to not show up and supervise the new crew. I had to be out there to micromanage this new crew. Ed Warren was very erratic and kept overstepping his boundaries with regard to the General Contractor, Kipp Warren (not related to our knowledge) of Kipp's Masonry. He and his crew kept doing things to our home that the General Contractor, nor us as homeowners, requested. We told him to stop tearing things out and to please coordinate any and all work with the General Contractor, Kipp's Masonry. Our contract was with Kipp's Masonry, whom we paid in full, yet didn't get what was promised in the contract. I ended up having to clean up the work site myself hauling off piles of chipped brick, wood and mortar. They pulled out limestone window sills prior to getting any authorization from the General Contractor to move to that project and no replacements had been ordered. When I saw them start to pull limestone sills off our house, I told them they needed to stop and get with Kipp's Masonry to be sure he was ready for them to do that. Our home sat open to the elements. There was a falling out between Kipp's and Brothers Construction Services (BCS) and work on our home came to a halt and was not finished. Ed Warren and his co-worker Paul Turner became very threatening to us due to their fall out with Kipp's, which we had nothing to do with. They began calling in false 911 calls to our home - 3 total. They placed false heating/air-conditioning calls to our home. They placed false pizza delivery orders to our home. They spray painted our new wood fence. They photo copied reams of paper that had false information about us with threatening and defamatory words and threw them up and down the street within blocks of our home, littering the streets. The police got involved and a detective was put on the case due to the false 911 calls, defamatory paper littering, and threatening phone calls. We had absolutely no contract with this company and we did not hire this company. Please check criminal records on Brothers Construction Services and Ed Warren that happened prior to our situation at the end of 2016 early 2017. Ed Warren and Paul C. Turner are menacing. Ed Warren kept trying to get us to let them build a fence for us, and even went so far as to bring a mock up fence without asking first. It was a very uncomfortable situation. We tried to be kind and help Mr. Warren and Mr. Turner work something out with Kipp Warren of Kipp's Masonry, which is who he had a true grievance with, but were unsuccessful and that is when Ed Warren and Paul C. Turner of Brothers Construction Services (BCS) on Michigan Rd, Indianapolis, IN turned on us and became threatening. Kipp's Masonry stopped taking our calls as well and issued no refund for work not completed. We cancelled any further work promised due to mishandling of ordering limestone, which was almost all ordered the wrong size, but thankfully I caught the mistake, and not paying his sub contractors. Steve Warren also quoted a whole new chimney flue liner, but misquoted by nearly $10,000. We quickly learned this General Contractor was not qualified for this large of a project and was in way over his head. We decided to cut our losses of the money we paid in full, just to have both General Contractor, Kipp's Masonry (Steve Warren) and Brothers Construction Services (Ed Warren and Paul C Turner) off our property.

AAffordable Residential Services
Jay was totally trustworthy, very meticulous; he came with his own supplies, tools, etc. and cleaned up afterwards.  Again his attention to detail was very much appreciated and his quality of work surpassed other previously hired foundation workers.  He followed up via telephone, never left me guessing and gave me an overall great experience.  I would highly recommend his company.
