Business Description: Efficient Windows and Doors is family owned business. Mathew Standish, its President & Founder, has been building and renovating homes for over 25 years. Their focus is on quality and care rather than size or quantity. "We approach every project as if it was a friend, neighbor or family member, from our no pressure sales consultations to our own professionally trained and caring installers," says Mathew. Efficient Windows & Doors allows homeowners to choose from a nice selection of different windows and doors that are fairly priced to fit any homeowner's budget or design needs. Mr. Standish comments, "We offer solutions to homeowner's concerns, first by listening, then offering options from our basic vinyl window all the way up to our highly customized windows and doors." Every project is performed with detail and experience, and backed up with a non-prorated transferable lifetime warranty! “It went great! Matt was very professional and he was able to help us make the best decisions for our house and our budget. He was able to help with color matching, etc. He was there at the beginning of the job and he also made sure that he checked the installers throughout the job. He came back for a walk through after the job was completed and made sure that everything was perfect and that we were absolutely satisfied. The quality of the windows are outstanding and we were able to complete the job at half the price of the bigger window companies. The customer service was outstanding! They did an amazing job and I would recommend them to anyone!” - -Carolyn B. (Richard B.), June 2015.

Recent Review: James was great! Initially he was very quick to respond when I called him and got us a quote right away since we had just purchased a new home and wanted the work down while we were still living out of state. We were living in Texas at the time that the work was started so most of our communication was through email and me sending James pictures of what we wanted. He was very thorough with our communication and made sure that he knew exactly what we wanted. James was very detail oriented and perfected every job that he did. You can tell that he is a perfectionist and wants the work done right. He even came back and retouched our kitchen cabinets after we had created some scratches in them shortly after they were finished. James was very professional and cleaned up every day after he was finished working. James also went the extra mile by cutting the grass for us when we were out of state as well as regrouting the fireplace gas cover. I would highly recommend James to anyone looking for any sort of work! We are still working with him by having him install custom baby gates for the stairs in our home.

Karl and his guys are very collaborative, always looking out for the best solution for the customer. We were making changes to the design even on the last morning of the job. I felt very comfortable leaving him and his guys in my house alone.

ARickleff Sons & Daughters Painting
VERY PERSONABLE. STEVE EXPLAINED WHAT NEEDED TO BE DONE, HOW IT WAS TO BE DONE AND HOW LONG IT WOULD TAKE. TELEPHONED TO INFORM ME OF SCHEDULE CHANGES AND WHEN TO EXPECT THE PAINT CREW. EVERYBODY TOOK WHAT I CONSIDERED, EXTRA CARE TO INSURE NONE OF OUR OUTDOOR PLANTS WERE DAMAGED. THEY SEALED AND CAULKED ALL WOODEN AREAS. PRIMED WOOD AND ANY METAL WHERE NECESSARY. HIS PAINT CREW WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL WITHOUT ANY WASTED MOTION. THEY DID NOT IMPOSE ON US IN ANY WAY. THE CLEANUP AFTER FINISHING THE JOB WAS IMPRESSIVE. WE ARE EXTREMELY PLEASED WITH THE RESULTS. WE WILL HAVE STEVE PAINT OUR HOME THE NEXT TIME IT IS NECESSARY, HIS SCHEDULE PERMITTING.

AAll Phase Group Inc
This was the third major project we've had done by All Phase, and just like the previous two projects, this one went beautifully. As always, the work done by Dave and his crew was exceptional. We especially appreciated and admired the care and attention Dave gave to the design of the front sidewalk, which has a sweeping, beautiful curve. Also, we appreciated Dave and Kathy's time, patience, and advice as we thought through this project and considered three different plans before making our final decision. The project took about 7 weeks and was very close to budget. We are very pleased with the results and would strongly recommend All Phase.

AVIP Home Solutions, LLC.
Most professional team of contractors I've seen in years. It?s important to note that most of this work was covered by our insurance, due to a major hail storm that hit our neighborhood, this year.  An important key factor was the fact that our contractor made certain he was available to meet with the insurance adjuster, during the inspection, and got up on the roof -- with our insurance adjuster ? to oversee the inspection. By doing so, he was able dispute any damaged item that might have been missed by the adjuster.  This is a principal factor in any insurance inspection process. Our professional, licensed and bonded contractor was able to point out several areas of damage that the adjuster had missed.  With VIP Home Solutions, we were confident that we didn?t need to be present at the time of inspection. And the resulting payment, from the insurance company, allowed for completion of the various jobs (listed below). After tearing off existing shingles down to wood decking, their work covered all aspects of roofing, including installation of Lifetime Warranty Atlas Pinnacle Pristine Dimensional Shingles (3M algae resistant / 130 MPH Wind Warranty); hip & ridge shingles, felt paper, Ice & Water shield (around perimeter of chimney, skylights and perimeter of home), pipe boot flashing, 11 new metal roof vents; all new metal step and counter flashing around chimney; and surrounding gutter apron. In addition, VIP Home Solutions installed two Power Attic Vents, with electrical hook up (owner supplied the new power vents). A couple of weeks later, when the weather settled down, a new team returned to pre-power wash, caulk and generally prep the entire exterior of our home for painting and gutter work.  They carefully painted home?s exterior (excluding brick veneer); plus soffits and fascia; front porch; garage doors; and window & door casings.  Prior to painting, they removed existing gutters and 9 downspouts and, following painting, installed new 6" seamless gutters with 10 downspouts. An important step, often overlooked by roofing contractors, was the thorough use of a magnetic nail/staple mower, on our surrounding yard, driveway, and walkways ? so that our cars and lawnmower wouldn?t pick them up in the tires. Furthermore, all trash/debris was removed from the site. Our house is now tighter and prettier than it's been, in fifteen or more years! Additionally, VIP Home Solutions sent over another team -- a couple of weeks later -- to rip out and replace our pool filter/equipment fence that had been damaged from wind-sheer, during a storm, last year. In all, the roofing took about a day and a half; the exterior prepping, painting and gutter work took about 3 days; and the new fence was up in a couple of days (after waiting for the post's concrete to dry, before actual installation of the fence). The roof is covered by two warranties:  1)  A five-year contractor labor warranty and 2) A life-time shingle replacement warranty, by the manufacturer. VIP Home Solutions had done excellent work for us, before.  So, we decided to call them again, for the above installations and painting.  We will use them, again, in the future.  Naturally, we highly recommend their general contracting/remodeling services to all.

AAllender & Sons Roofing & Siding
Allender & Sons Roofing and Siding has restored my faith in contractors. We had a horrible experience with a hail chaser roofing company that was so bad that we had to fire them. We called Allender & Sons for an estimate on what would be required to fix their work. Although our job was a "fix up" job and not a whole roof, Richard Allender, the owner, treated us as if we were hiring them for a $10,000 job. We were given Richard's cell phone number, and about 80% of the time, he answered personally. The other 20%, I left a voice mail and he called back within 10 minutes. James, an employee, came out and inspected the whole roof, taking about an hour to find everything that needed to be fixed. He left no stone unturned, but didn't try to sell us on things that weren't necessary. After agreeing to the estimate, we were scheduled to have the work done within about two weeks. There was some delay in getting them out due to the weather, but that was our choice due to being in the dead of winter and getting some snow and ice. Richard was fantastic to work with on scheduling and totally responsive at all times. Eventually we got a break in the weather and were scheduled for 8am to have the work done. Not only did the crew show up on time, but James actually showed up early (~7:50am) and said that he would stay with the crew until about noon to make sure everything was done properly, then would be back in the afternoon to make sure we were satisfied before they left. The crew began their work, and eventually it was around noon. Although I didn't expect it, James came to the door to let us know everything was going as planned and that he was going to meet with some other customers for an inspection, and that he would be back. This is the kind of attention to detail and courtesy that you will get with Allender & Sons. Early in the afternoon, Richard himself showed up. Like James, he wanted to make sure we were happy with everything we had done. Richard took an active role in ensuring the work was done properly. While the siding and shutters were being replaced, the crew found that we needed some more pieces of siding than we originally thought. Not only did Richard personally go out to get more siding, making sure to match them exactly, but he gave us an EXTREMELY reasonable price on the difference from the estimate. We had a similar issue with our shutters (sadly, our house was built with a lot of non-standard materials), and Richard and James made multiple trips to supply companies to get an exact match. At the end of the day, Richard returned and did a walk through with me on all the work that was done. The only thing that wasn't done was that they reinstalled our satellite dish after re-shingling when we wanted them to just leave it off (as we weren't using it). However, in fairness, this was not in our written estimate, and they completely re-shingled so it wouldn't leak anyway. Richard offered to have someone come back out, at his expense, to remove the dish and re-shingle, even after I told him it wasn't a big deal. I have never been as happy with a contractor as I am with Allender & Sons (and we have dealt with many roofers, masons, window companies, flooring companies, and painters). All the work they said they would do was done 100% correctly and with great care. I have already recommended them to neighbors and co-workers, and I wouldn't hesitate for a second to hire them for any roofing or exterior work. In fact, we are already considering hiring them for some interior painting we need done. It's almost a shame that I don't need any more roofing done. Richard and James were extremely pleasant, professional, courteous, friendly, and attentive at all times. I would never hire anyone else.

AA Better Way Home Improvements
From start to finish Bill was on site making sure everything was done correctly. My house has never looked so good. Each project Bill did on my house came with unknown issues rotten wood, bowed rafters and previous contractors mistakes. Bill fixed everything and never asked for an additional cent. His quote is solid and he is professional 24/7 not a fly by night operation where they quote you one thing then keep telling you they need more money Bill is truly the best out there. We highly recommend him to anyone.
