Reviews in Houston for Deck Waterproofing
BThe Brown Paint Co
First they power washed the whole exterior, stone, deck, and wood siding. We only expected them to power wash the wood that need repainting. They waited a couple days to dry out then came back and painted the exterior wood portion. Job was very well done for the most part. A few minor blemishes that we're quickly fixed once pointed out. The painters left and forgot to seal the deck. Called and reminded them. They were out 2 days later to finish and seal the deck.

The boards were cut and painted with primer paint, then installed and painted with decking paint. The boards are now to far apart with 1-2 inch gaps and the trim in back of deck was not finished with cross trim finish. Banister post in back was not attached back on very well. Railing now Wobbles. there was a big dent left in a handrail that was not touched. I also had to call and have them come back to finish painting the entire front deck to match the boards replaced. Have not decided if I will have them fix the gaps in front porch decking boards. Post repair and handrail installed along with gutter downspout installed was done well. Power wash house and walkway was good and bad depending on which power wash crew was working. One crew did a great job, another I don't want back. Had to have them come back and finish power Washing one side of my house that was not done. The person who did my back room roof with HydroStop waterproofing did a fantastic job. He (think his name was Tony) worked alone and was very careful to waterproof and seal. Instead of power washing roof first, which was suggested to him, he power blew and swept debris off roof area to waterproof. He did this because Power Washing would have flooded the room below roof. He worked hard and long to get the job done correctly. He even came in and worked on replacing wet insulation below roof and replaced screws that had fallen out and were missing. He did superior work. No leaking yet 5/9/2016. I will definitely have this done again when needed. I decided later that the back 8'X14' deck needed painting after Power Washing. The price quoted I felt was high for the type of job, but I couldn't say no, because I couldn't do it, and it really needed paint, so I had them go ahead. The back deck was painted, No priming done.
I have used Freddy?s before with interior painting and was greatly impressed, so I asked them to bid on painting the exterior of my lake house. Their bid was in line with what I anticipated spending on the job. They also offered to power wash and seal the attached deck. The resulting paint and sealing jobs were flawless. I found it hard to believe that they could paint such straight lines without the use of painter?s tape. The painters were real professionals. They even doubled the sealer coats on my deck without me asking and without extra charge. All was completed according to the bid except for an outbuilding door that was painted the wrong color. When I informed Sylvia about this she had the same crew go out the next week just to re-paint the door?a 120 mile round trip drive. Freddy?s service has always been top notch and this job proved to me once again that they should receive special recognition for their professionalism and good service.

Adam, a long-time employee, power washed the deck. He was extremely careful to protect my plants in the flower beds around the deck so they would not be damaged. He was obviously experienced and knew how to use the spray evenly without applying too much pressure which can damage the wood. He was extremely polite and pleasant in addition to being punctual and knowledgeable. After several days of drying time, Ernie, the owner, applied the sealer to the deck. He carefully tested the wood to be sure it was sufficiently dry and then applied several coats of sealer. It looks wonderful and I am confident that with this professional care, the deck is well preserved.

CAll Texas Home Services Experts Sales & Remodeling
Our deck was painted previously and looked rather shabby due to weathering over the years. I showed him the type of paint that we planned to use: Sherwin Williams waterborne deck stain. After paint the deck and calling the company back, we found out that the sealant didn't work on this paint. He didn't mention that using this paint would mean that the part of our restoration deal for waterproofing sealant would be void. So, we ended paying for more expensive paint than what was necessary and the value of the deal was greatly lessened.

AArmando's Handyman & Remodeling Services
Armando did an excellent job. He started work immediately and finished very quickly. Did a pretty large remodel in under two weeks. Didn't inflate his price at the end like some handymen and contractors will. Definitely recommend for those who need an experienced handyman.

This is the second time I have used As Good As New. Two technicians arrived on time, moved everything off the deck (and offered to come back and put it back). The deck was power washed and refinished. I really appreciated how they worked with my schedule. When they found out I was having yard work done, they correctly advised to hold off the finish coat until that was done. They were through and accommodating.

I called them to get an estimate on backyard fence repair and deck refinishing. They showed up on time , their price was almost half of what the other guys wanted to charge me. They refinished all my fence and deck in 3 days. I would definitely use them again.

I had came across Michael’s name through lots of recommendations from neighbors. Everyone said he was wonderful, and they were not wrong! I needed the following items done around my house: pressure wash my deck and two story stucco home, re-coat my deck with replace a second story window frame board with a hole in it and paint the new board, gutter cleaning, repair and seal cracks in stucco all over the home, then paint it. I had to be out of town, but after meeting Michael and hearing how great he is from all my neighbors, I trusted him completely. I came home to a perfect home - job well done! Michael was even able to “rebuild” part of a stucco wall for me that had such large, gaping cracks that it crumbled when he tried to fill them. I have recommended him to everyone I know!
Recent Review: crew and work were good. started early and finished early. price was a little higher than other estimates but close enough to use. the estimator, dave, was very professional and sold us on using his company. he stayed in touch during and after the job and dealt with the changes we had. easy and good to work with him.
Recent Review: Very pleased with the overall product. It took a lot longer than expected though. We were very picky and George did everything we asked him to do. Allied was our most expensive bid by far, however, the quality of their product seems to be far superior than others.
Recent Review: Very pleased with the service performed. Highly recommended. In addition to the paint job (see my other review), The Peraltas company removed old gutters and replace rot-damaged wood trim around the house. The estimate I received was lower than other estimates for replacing trim (labor and materials). Few days later, crew arrived, removed old gutters, installed new 1x2" trim and power washed my house in preparation for the paint job which I also ordered from the Peraltas company (the $1199 deal). Finally, they removed all the debris after the paint job was completed. Great job guys!
Recent Review: Mike Moncure certainly knows how to listen to customers. He answered questions & visited the site frequently. His team did a meticulous job of painting & fretted over how our house wasn't built on the square nor level (are any?). The team was punctual, paid attention to leaving the site clean each day, & remembered that we had a pet who used the yard each night (fence had to be set back in place each night). This job was sequenced with a roof replacement. The teams were professional, courteous, & everything you could hope for. We are probably not the easiest people to work with, but they always handled our concerns with grace. I don't know how much it should cost to apply siding & paint a house, but I am very happy with the results from this company. They also do other remodeling & we are considering another project next spring. We will be calling them.
Recent Review: I spoke to 3 different contractors about the work I wanted done on my house . I chose Steve and Colony Roofing. He listened to what I wanted. He told me how they would do the job. He gave me a fair quote. It was not the least expensive price but in my conversations with the different contractors, I felt more comfortable with Steve's company doing the job. I just liked his approach to the whole process. The work was performed exactly as expected. His crews were on time, did very good work and cleaned up after each job. Steve was on site several times to check their work and actually had them make some changes on the carpentry job to his standards. Steve also followed up with the roofing supplies manufacturer to make sure they inspected my house, approved and processed my warranty. The manufacturer was way behind in their inspection work. It took 3 months but Steve continued to follow up and I received my warranty certificate in March. I would recommend Steve and Colony Roofing to anyone in need of the services they provide. I will use Colony Roofing again if I have the need.
Recent Review: They did brilliant work, I was very pleased with them. They were easy to work with. The pricing was a little bit higher than average, but by the quality of their work I would say that they're worth it.
Recent Review: Astar did an awesome job! We originally called them to have our flaking bathtub refinished, they advised us that the tile should be refinished as well and the price of $500 to do the whole thing was great. When they finished we explained that we were looking for professionals to repair and repaint or deck, and replace our fence as well. They split the jobs into two separate jobs and gave us a great price on each. We now have a wonderful new fence, a nice deck and a working bathtub.
Recent Review: Carnival quote was less than the two others I received and half the price quote from Lopez. The job was expected to take 2-3 days it took 4 full days, house has a lot of trim, 2 story house and garage, some of it rotten which was all replaced. All exterior surfaces were done including house, garage, patio, balcony, deck, railing etc. Also repaired dining room ceiling hole/damage. Price was within quote, guys were quiet, hard working, profesional. A great job, I highly recomend them.
Recent Review: AAA Painting went well beyond an excellent rating -- they were exceptional! Alex was extremely thorough in his assessment of what was needed and all project work was completed to our complete satisfaction. Alex and the crew arrived exactly on time both days it took to complete our exterior painting. The quality of work was exactly what we wanted. Highly recommend this well qualified and experienced crew.
Recent Review: I couldn't be happier overall. Erik came out Friday and had a quote done in minutes. It was reasonable and I had a favorable impression overall of Erik and Next Door. It didn't hurt that they had excellent ratings. So I called Monday to confirm, and the crew was out the next day and finished the entire job in one day. The attention to detail was impressive and I would definitely recommend Next Door Painting.
