Tradewinds installed a beautiful concrete countertop for my entertainment built-ins. I asked for a custom color and they were able to deliver exactly what I wanted. The countertop really completed the space. The team was great to work with and very professional.

AKaty Tile & Marble
Overall, the best contractor we've hired in 14 years of remodeling.  We had removed the old tile and countertop ourselves, installed the concrete board in the shower/tub surround, then contacted Katy Tile & Marble regarding installing new tile, new countertop, and replacing several damaged floor tiles.  Tom arrived promptly for the initial estimate and was very helpful in advising that additional concrete board was needed on one wall before the new tile could be installed.  He was also very helpful, along with other members of his team, in designing the tile layout.  The workers all arrived promptly and the tile installers and countertop installers coordinated their work in a very organized manner.  There were a couple of issues which were promptly addressed.  The first issue was with the tile in and around the soap/shampoo niches.  Tom and the installers came back to our house, we all discussed the issue, and reached a solution which resulted in the installers removing several tiles, making modified cuts in new tile, and replacing the tiles at issue.  The second problem was with the color of the grout used in replacing several of the damaged floor tiles.  The initial grout was the color I specified after reviewing the original floor tile installers specs.  Once the tiles were replaced, it was obvious the color was several shades darker than the rest of the floor tile grout so we picked out the closest match from grout samples and the installers arrived the next day to redo the floor tile replacement using the correct color grout, all at no additional charge.  Additionally, the countertop in another bathroom was poorly caulked when that bathroom had been remodeled a couple of years earlier.  Tom had his countertop crew remove the existing caulk and properly recaulk that countertop, at no additional charge.  The entire job turned out beautifully and I would definitely use Katy Tile & Marble again.

Dave and his team were on time, professional, took their measurements and had them installed 2 weeks later. Everything went great, no problems, and my counters are awesome and original!

ASPIRIT RIDGE STUDIOS
Spirit Ridge's precision and craftsmanship on this job was unbelievable. The measurements of the molds was exact and they only had to pour them once. The color we wanted was exactly what we got to the shade. There is a lifetime warranty on them and if any cracks appear they will come out and fix them. This was a total upgrade to our kitchen and we really enjoyed working with and around their men.

AR & D MARBLE INC
The company provides and installs granite, othe natural stone countertops and fabricates cultured marble and granite. James and an assistant installed the vanity top and backspash in less than an hour and they did a fantastic job with impressive attention to detail.

Job went in stages with demo work done first, bathtub removed, base laid for shower, backing for tiles in shower, backsplash behind countertop installed, shower tiles laid, quartz countertop installed, and last, the glass door installed. Each part had to be finished befor the next so the project was done in stages. All was done as promised.

This was the second time we have used AIS to replace a bathroom countertop and sinks. The first job went so well that we hired him a second time to do the same thing in another bathroom. We used the same granite provider, which JT recommended from last time. JT scheduled the job and called ahead of time to remind me. The plumber came out the first day and removed the faucets. The second day the installation crew came and measured, cut the granite onsite, installed it, and sealed it. The plumber came again on day 3 and installed the faucets. Everything went very smoothly and I could not be happier. I would definitely hire AIS again and will recommend him to my friends.

AFloors Galore By Halfon
I was looking for a company to install floors and countertops in my home and am so glad that I chose Floors Galore by Halfon for the install. Albert was very knowledgeable and had a great selection of floors and countertops on display to show me. We ended up having hardwood flooring installed in the whole house, quartz countertops installed in our kitchen, and granite countertops installed in both our bathrooms. Albert managed the entire project from start to finish and kept me updated throughout the entire process. His installers were great and I was surprised by how fast they were able to put the floors and countertops in. My home looks amazing and I will definitely be using Floors Galore for any future renovations.

AA & R Granite Designs Inc
Demolition of existing ceramic tile countertop exposed substructure that required some changes. Confusion on sink requirements required some changes. Installation of granite was tricky due to integrated shade structure. Owner provided painting of trim. End result is very nice and high quality. Provided after-installation follow-up.

AAIS Stone & Marble Inc
JT and his crew are superb to work with. From choosing the best materials to the final clean-up, the process flowed smoothly. Listen to JT's advise; he's an expert in countertop materials, installation and care. I will be calling him soon to schedule the installation of my kitchen backsplash and to obtain an estimate to transform my shower-over-tub to a walk-in shower. I highly recommend AIS Stone & Marble for your kitchen and bathroom remodel. (The cost of service is labor only. The slab costs are excluded.)

Recent Review: I competitively bid the work amongst 3 highly-rated Angie's List contractors. Peraltas was the low bidder and performed very well. Their tile man, Manuel, is especially talented. Peraltas is worth hiring just get the services of this one person! They remodeled two bathrooms which included a new countertop, new tile floor, new functional window in shower, converting an old shower to a closet, converting a large tub area to a walk-in shower with a linear drain in the master, as well as extending a wall and incorporating 2 new doors to a toilet room and the closet. In the guest bath they removed a bath tub and converted into a shower with linear drain, added new countertop, new mirror, faucet and electrical. In the laundry they added a new countertop. They are especially good at laying tile and crafting soap niches (boxes) in the shower as well as exterior brick work which was necessary with the new window. I elected to use my own plumbing company (Pickett Plumbing) for the most complex parts of the plumbing work and another company (Euro Glass) to construct the frameless showers. I would gladly employ Peraltas again!

Recent Review: The granite contractors were on time, however there was a miscommunication on the edge profile I selected. I didn't want to delay the installation because I had a timeline to keep, so I went with what they had chosen. The contractors were professional and did a great job with the installation. The only thing I would recommend is for the Manager to do a follow-up phone call or home visit to make sure the installation went well and do a quality check. Also, there was no communication on how I receive the "lifetime warranty"; do I get a certificate? I also think the manager could explain how to care for the granite (I've never had granite before) and if I need to seal, etc. The carpet installers were great! However, I did not get a phone call (as promised by 10:00 a.m.) so I had to call the store to find out what was going on. Tommy called me back promptly and informed me the contractor's truck had broken down and another contractor would be at my home within an hour, which they were. The installers were professional, quick with the install and cleaned up. Very nice job! Tommy at the Sales Center was very polite, professional and responsive. Overall , despite some hiccups, I am still very happy with both installations. Good quality and worth the money! ?Will recommend and use again!

Recent Review: Working with Rick and his crew was great. I met with Rick for an initial visit and he provided a quote, then met with Rick and Rudy to discuss cabinets in more detail. He also suggested an interior decorator, Suzanne with S2 designs, who helped with color choices and picking out kitchen components. The work was done very professionally and his work crew lead, Joshua, had a lot of very helpful suggestions, and helped me out when we needed assistance. The cabinets came out beautifully; we had a custom-designed microwave cabinet and a custom island that are both beautiful and functional. The stove was vented to the outside and works much better. We replaced the stove, countertops, backsplash, most upper cabinets, one lower cabinet, floors, sink, faucet, and hardware. The best things about Rick were 1) his willingness to reuse cabinets that didn't need to be replaced. This is important to me to throw away usable cabinets, 2) his flexibility and willingness to work with us when things didn't go perfectly. As an example, the granite guys installed our sink as an overmount because it wouldn't fit as an undermount. We didn't like it. Rick came up with the idea to buy another piece of granite then install the extra granite in the master bathroom. It cost money to fix ($1300) but we got the look we wanted in the kitchen and much better counters in the bath, which really needed replacing. 3) We had some artwork (glass and backsplach centerpiece) we wanted installed in the kitchen and Rick was very helpful making that happen, 4) Rick also hired quality subs and checked on progress at least once a week. The final product is amazing; we have our "country kitchen" with modern fixtures, updated cabinets, our artwork and better fixtures seamlessly installed. Things to know: 1) At least for me, his bid was higher than the other two I requested. However, I liked him and his plan best and went with my gut feeling. 1) Would agree with other reviewers that you have to be prepared for his crew to start with relatively little notice. He will provide a two-week window and I would start moving stuff out of the kitchen once you get this notice. 2) Rick has you buy a lot of your own stuff (backsplash, grout, kitchen pendants). This was fine with us, but you should be aware when interpreting the quote. He provides a very detailed quote that will indicate what the homeowner is buying. 3) As with almost every remodel, it took longer than expected. We were told 6 weeks and it took 12 weeks by the time the microwave cabinet was complete. Some of this time was waiting for things to come in that we didn't anticipate, some was just things take awhile to get done when you want them done right. Overall very satisfied and would use Rick again in a second. Cost: $29,910 for Rick; approx. $10K in addition for materials. TOTAL (with master bath countertops, sinks and faucets) $40K

Recent Review: He did such a beautiful job and was so dependable with my Houston home in 2008, I commissioned Mr. Garcia to modify my new Austin home in November, 2010. Due to the fact that Mr. Garcia has a lot of pride in his work, he typically has one job going at a time so he was very available to answer all questions, plus he oversees his crew to make sure they are performing to his high standards. With my short timeframe for the Austin job, he had up to 15 people working here at the house that he had to supervise. I consider Mr. Garcia to be a master craftsman and someone I can depend on for various handyman-type issues, too. His daugher lives in Austin so he is trying to enlarge his customer base to this beautiful area. Check out his website:www.homesweethome-improvement.com.

Recent Review: We had two dated looking bathrooms in our 1978 US Homes built patio home that needed desperate attention. We brought in a number of design firms but felt Seek Design's approach was the best fit for our project. The hallway bathroom had a minor redesign done in 2003 and the master bathroom had remained in its original 1978 state other than a tile and toilet replacement also done in 2003. Each bathroom was worked on separately so we could utilize the facilities of the other bathroom that wasn't currently in the process of renovation. Seek Design's demolition team was able to remove all old tile, appliances and hardware in general within a day for each bathroom (in one case everything was done in just a few hours -- amazing). The plumbing team came next to address drains and the new fixtures we were adding and they returned as needed once other elements were installed (e.g. countertops, etc). Next the tile team did their work using materials we were able to select for floors and shower/bath walls. They were very efficient and speedy and completed the work as we'd specified. The cabinet team was able to come in earlier and have custom cabinets built in shaker-style that fit in perfectly with our new tile and hardware. The countertop team was also able to prepare everything ahead of time and was ready when cabinets went in. The shower glass team installed a new, modern frameless glass enclosure for our new shower with just 1 quick measurement and a short wait for its manufacture. We completely replaced the hallway bathroom's bathtub with a dedicated shower complete with floor to ceiling listello effects and two built in "boxes" to store shower essentials, etc. The master bathroom tub was completely replaced with a modern acrylic tub and again with beautiful floor to ceiling tiling and listello highlights. The toilets were replaced with a modern 2-option flushing system. New cabinets and countertops gave us the chance to install a vessel sink in both bathrooms with corresponding hardware to compliment. We are super proud of the work done and have had friends over who just wanted to see the new work as we'd been teasing the upgrades on Instagram and Facebook during the short time we had the work done. Communication from Don our contact with Seek Design was always excellent and he was able to effectively project manage the multiple teams in order to get our project completed as quickly as possible. Whenever one of the teams become unavailable Don was able to re-arrange the teams to get other work done ahead of schedule. In fact our cabinets and countertops were ready early in the project so their installation went very fast! Would definitely recommend Seek Design to my friends and family. Super positive experience!

Recent Review: My experience with MC Surfaces was exceptional. From the moment I met with the expeditor, Adriana Munive, I felt sure they understood my needs. She is great and very helpful. The timing and turnaround was outstanding. The installers were at the site right on time and completed the job that same day. They were very professional and I am so happy with the level of service MC Surfaces provided. The quality, the material, the labor, I just loved it. I love my new kitchen, I love my countertops!! I highly recommend MC Surfaces. After everything we have gone though with Hurricane Harvey flooding our home, MC Surfaces shed some light to our family. Thank you MC Surfaces for an exceptional experience!!

Recent Review: They were very professional, helpful and responsive in answering questions and giving us a quote. In the end, we decided not to repair the countertop and sink but replace it entirely. as the previous owner installed it and it no longer fit our decor. Even though we didn't use them to make the repairs, we were very impressed with their customer service.
