Recent Review: Martin Water is without doubt the best company I've dealt with in terms of home equipment installation and service. Their Kinetico water treatment systems use the best engineering in the business. Our sales rep and installer were patient, helpful, and took time to answer all our questions. The day before our install was to be done, I asked if they could do it with copper pipe instead of PVC or Pex. Answer? No problem. I had to pay more for the material and installation time, of course, but Martin was clearly all about satisfying the customer. We've had moderately hard well water since we built our home in the 1980s. Over the past several years the hardness has increased. After problems with sulfur odor in our hot water, we consulted Martin. They recommended three options, which is good when you're on a tight budget. Thankfully, we were able to purchase the top-level, dual-tank softener system and it was money well spent. They also recommended a sediment filter, charcoal taste and odor filter, and a UV filter to take care of the bacteria causing the sulfer odor. The system uses very little salt. We've had it two months, and the level in the salt tank has dropped only a little. They said we'd only have to add salt every 3 months or so, and it looks like they were right. The best thing about it is the water. No more mineral buildup on the faucets. No more stains in the toilet bowl. No more residue in the tubs and sinks. No more water spots on dishes washed in the dishwasher. When we hand wash dishes we can let them air dry in the drying rack, and they look perfect. And the taste is at least equal to (I think it's better than) bottled spring water. We could have gotten a cheaper system elsewhere, but not a better value. I have complete confidence in Martin Water and give them an unqualified recommendation.
