Recent Review: We are extremely pleased with out Champion Four-Season "Built Under" room. We first saw Champion rooms at the Kalamazoo Home and Garden Show. We also saw two other builders of four-season rooms. We had Champion and one other company come to the house and give us estimates. Champion's sales person was far better prepared and the materials he showed us were far superior. Champion's estimate was higher, but by less than $2,000. We visited the main store in Grand Rapids to further check the look and materials. The actual building of the four-season room took a little over one week. We were very impressed with the care and percission of the workmen. One workman even repaired an area of our house that butted up to the four-season room. It was still cool weather in Michigan when the room was finished and (the four-season room has no heat) we were instantly amazed at how the room retained the heat with being heated. After the first summer and a full winter we found that if the sliding door to the house is open to air conditioning and/or heating of the house the temperature of the four-season room stays very comfortable in the 60's. The insulation of the windows and the whole structure is fantastic. We use the room all year and have a small heater for the colder days of our Michigan winters.

Recent Review: We wanted a sliding door by a window, so we called around and got a couple of quotes. We ended up going with them and they were significantly cheaper. They did everything and made it custom. They made sure it matched the wood of our floors and did a really good job. I wanted a particular door and they let me get my own door which I liked because some people are particular about using their supplies. They came out right away and got the work done quickly. He kind of ran into a couple of snags, but he didn't raise the price on me which I liked. He gave me a quote and stuck with it even though it took a little bit longer and more work than he thought. We plan on getting a quote from him on the kitchen.
Needed windows so I looked online for reviews and found kodiak to be among the highest so I called them. Salesmen says make sure your wife is home so I can explain everything to both of you (clearly a sales tactic). He showed up to my house at 530pm dinner just got done we already knew we wanted new windows but he insisted to do his entire sales pitch for nearly 2 hours. Then he finally sits down to price out 3 windows and a slider he comes back with 5900.00 then he says if you sign right now without calling anyone else ill give it to you for the price on the back of the paper, he flips over the paper and it was 5100$. After having him break it down and doing quick math in my head he was pricing things incorrectly and he caught himself. This was about the 3rd red flag for me after i said i needed time to go over it with my wife he stuck around for another 20 minutes trying to sell the product and get us to sign telling us you still have 3 day legally after you sign to rescind the offer I said no we need more time. Glad I held off they were almost DOUBLE what everyone else got back to me with estimate wise. He says we arent the cheapest and we arent the most extensive he was wrong they certainly are the most expensive and they have the most dated sales tactics i thought maybe this guy was a rainbow vacuum salesman at some point in his life. BUYER BEWARE THEY ARE SALESMAN AND THEY USE CONTRACTORS THEY DO NOT INSTALL WITH IN-HOUSE TECHNICIANS. There is also a lot of evidence most of their reviews are done by their employees.

APolar Seal Window Corp
I highly recommend this company - they are solid from top to bottom and do what they say they will do. They do not use high pressure sales tactics, which I really appreciated given experiences with other competitors in the industry. Their office is easy to work with, and so is their service manager and technicians. I've been working with Polar Seal for several years now, and they ended up installing all of the windows in my home, in addition to a couple sliding doors. In the rare instance where we've had a quality issue, their service techs visit right away and fix the problem - no questions asked. When the last batch of windows got installed we did end up with an unexpected order error which was partially my fault and partially theirs. I worked with Polar Seal's president to come up with a mutually agreeable solution and couldn't be happier with the end result. Seeing the company work through this with me, and avoiding something that could have easily gone the other way, made me an even bigger fan of this company. If you're looking for windows, I strongly suggest considering Polar Seal!

The lead installer was very professional and polite, He was training a new employee, so the job went a few days longer than anticipated. That was no problem for us( the weather was nice), we just wanted a good installation. We feelthat we got what we wanted.

FHansons Window & Siding of Grand Rapids LLC
My wife and I called Hansons a while back for a quote on a sliding door for the back of my house. When the salesman arrived, we told him that we had brand new windows and only needed the sliding door and also told him that our baby was with a sitter so we had a limited time to talk. Despite this, he proceeded to tie us up for nearly 2 hours while trying to convince us that we needed new windows in addition to the door. When we finally got him back on track, he proceeded to present us with an initial price of over $2,000. When I obviously objected to this sky-high rate, he proceeded to come down a little. This continued for a while (including the tacky "let me call my boss" bit) until he was finally down around $700, which was a reasonable price but by that point, he'd destroyed any possibility of us trusting him and his company.

ABosworth Builders LLC
I had three service providers to my home to give me quotes on removing my old wooden two-level deck in backyard and build a new deck with accessibility to my home. Ben Bosworth was the only one to provide a design that was one level thus eliminating possible safety issues. His quote was similar to another provider's two-level deck with ramps quote. Ben's price was fair for the amount of work/materials required for the project. I feel I received my money's worth. The deck, ramps, and landing were built with composite material (TREX) and to ADA compliance. The deck is approximately 15x30' with ramps 5x20' and two 5x5' landings. The final result is more that I could have imagined: extremely functional for my young grandson's power wheelchair to access my home and it looks fantastic ("Home Beautiful" magazine quality.) The work crew were prompt and kept the worksite clean even washing deck daily as each phase was completed. Workers were polite and professional.Ben made sure the deck met my needs and was quality-built. TREX representative checked out the final deck project ensuring it met their criteria it did.Thank you, Ben, I love my new deck and so does my grandson, Thomas. He says it is like going to a hotel.
