Recent Review: I had two sliding glass doors installed in March first. Then in July I had the french door and another sliding glass door installed. The installer who was sent to work on this was very very good. His team was professional and worked in a clean and well paced way. My only criticism would be he was 3 hours late, from his appointed time. He did call me to let me know he was running late. Then when he was installing the sliding door, we found the salesman had ordered the wrong door. The direction for opening it was not left to right. The installer was able to call Lowes and pick up another door that afternoon, which did open in the correct direction. I was very happy with the end product of their work.

Recent Review: When we had the gates made for the yard they looked great and worked really well.  We liked the work and hired David to make closet doors for our bedroom. The doors do not match, but because most don't realize it, we settled on them. The rest of the doors have been a constant problem and no matter how many times we called and they came to the house every door has major issues.  We have actually been looked in our own house because none of the doors work correctly! The front door hinge fell off within weeks which they came and repaired. Unfortunately, the handle is constantly stuck and requires weekly repair. The back door has never worked because the knob is too close to the wall and the windows cannot be washed because of the poor design. David did fix the window so it can be washed, but the replacement window swings when you open and close the door, often hitting people. We have had him back repeatedly to find a way to keep the window open, but he has never found a way to fix it. After months, we replaced the door to avoid injury. The sliding door has never worked, was installed badly, and is being replaced. It won't open, rusts shut and has "screen" that is so dark and heavy which they refused to replace with lighter and more practical screen that we originally requested. The French doors never had screens (we live in the Upper Valley and need screens) as we ordered and we gave up. We have another company making the screens as David LIED to me and told me they had the screens made and ready to deliver. They never were made and we finally gave up. I fired David after I caught him in the lie by text and his response was to "tell on me" by texting my husband. He actually tried to tell me the sliding door didn't work because I was a bad housekeeper! No amount of WD-40 or cleaning and sanding has helped. This company has no business being in business. The doors are beautiful, but they don't function.Who needs doors that don't open?!!!

Recent Review: Ed worked carefully with us to identify all our needs and provided a very reasonable estimate for the list of fixes and general repairs we needed. Keith and Junior arrived promptly on the agreed date and did high-quality work. We would (and likely will) call upon them again for additional work.

FWindow World of Southwest Texas
The windows and doors are very nice. However, the installation crew was very unprofessional. First, it was difficult to communicate with them. There was only one English speaker in the entire crew. If he was busy or in his truck or running an errand, I couldn't communicate with the crew. This led to a couple misunderstandings. Also, they did not clean up after themselves. I still have shavings of glass in my yard. I had to call several times to get the crew back out to clean up large, obvious pieces of glass. My side and back yard, as well as my drive way were littered with little pieces of glass. The crew removed all of our window bars. One guard was difficult to remove, so without consulting my husband or I, they chopped the bars apart and ripped them off the window. The bars were ruined. I had to call several times to argue my case that they should be replaced. After talking with three people, Window World did decide to to refund us $200 for the damage. This did not cover the repair costs though. Our original windows and doors were covered in lead paint. I have small children and paid extra for lead containment. In my opinion, their lead containment was nominal at best. They made an effort to tape up the windows so no lead dust or paint chips would settle in the house. However, the window coverings had huge gaps in them. The rooms were very dusty. Lead dust was everywhere. So much lead paint and dust was left in my yard. My husband and I had to shovel away the top layer of soil all around our house so that our children wouldn't play in contaminated dirt. I called over and over again to get a crew out to clean it up, but it took them weeks. I was so disappointed. We paid hundreds for lead containment. Real lead containment was very important to me because of my children and pet. They had given me the impression that they knew what they were doing and were capable. I complained that they hadn't actually contained any lead, however, they refused to refund my lead containment fee. They didn't even clean it up! When they installed our windows and our doors, they damaged our house quite a bit. The window sills are scratched, some are gouged. Much of our exterior stucco is damaged where ever they worked. They installed a sliding glass door in our kitchen and broke off huge pieces of exterior stucco. They also pulled up a wall length worth of baseboard. I still don't know why they did that. I asked if they would be repairing any of the damages, and they said, "Sorry, we don't do that. Our sales rep usually neglects to tell customers." I understand that they can't be responsible for everything, but when the damage is so extreme, they should make a small effort to fix it. Again, I was very disappointed in their customer service. They ordered a wrong window and installed it anyways. They reinstalled both of my storm doors incorrectly. And, the lock on my sliding door was originally installed incorrectly. Window World did eventually fix these problems, but I was always surprised at all the mistakes they kept making. Finally, one of their crew members used my restroom and ripped the toilet lid off the seat. I don't know why. Window World did pay for the damages. I was just shocked that it happened in the first place. Overall the crew seemed untrained. I don't think they are the best at what they do. I would never use them again for anything. I was so happy when they visited for the last time. They came to reinstall a window they broke and replace some trim they forgot to order for our back door.
