Recent Review: I purchased a house in Berkley and had a tight budget to renovate and resell it.  I found Stonebridge Kitchen and Bath on Angie's list, read the reviews and thought I would give them a try.  I can't begin to describe how happy I have been with them!   I explained the look I wanted for the house and the kitchen and gave them a budget to work within.  I told them I needed a lot of help and guidance and Dawn said she would take great care of me.  They gave me several cabinet brand choices to pick from ranging in different price categories to meet my needs.  I selected a relatively inexpensive cabinet and let Dawn and her design team perform their magic. The Interior Designer, Angelique, came to the house to look at the cabinets and I trusted her to pick out a granite to go with the kitchen.  She also picked out paint colors for the entire house and gave me her recommendation for a stain color on the wood floors throughout.  The house  turned out amazing and the kitchen looks like an expensive, custom  kitchen.  The contractors were all very friendly, prompt and did a great job.  Dawn kept me up to date with what was going on from week to week and the job went very quickly.  It was nice for the "one stop shopping" with cabinetry, countertops, knobs and tile.  I didn't have to run around to several places to pick these things.  A real time saver.   I will definitely be using Stonebridge for my future home purchase renovations.

Recent Review: The name of the business is Phoenix Cabinets and Tops. They have a very nice showroom. They gave me an estimate on the spot, and came out to measure the same day.  I had estimates from a Kitchen & Bath store and another counter store--Phoenix was the lowest. Counter was made promptly, and the installation was done carefully.  It looks great. These are very nice people and I look forward to doing business with them in the future.

Recent Review: The installation when smoothly and the crew was professional. However, the marble slab has several rough spots that needed to be sealed by me.

Recent Review: James and John did a great job! James was very responsive in making a couple of design changes early on and getting me revised elevations and measurements. John was great in getting the construction going, installing all the appliances, finalizing details and taking care of some loose ends. Jeremy's excellent carpenter skills and attention to detail resulted in a beautiful set of cabinets. Flooring was not included but I was able to hire Ioan, their tile guy, to install my new porcelain plank kitchen floor in addition to the backsplash and he did a great job, too! The entire team was great to work with from start to finish. I would not hesitate to hire them again. Had to hire my own electrician for the electrical work.

Recent Review: We first looked at granite remnants and then saw a quartz sample that seemed perfect. They let us take a sample home and worked with us on price. We looked other places but the service and price were not as good. Installation went perfectly and we love our new bathroom!

Recent Review: The finished product was excellent. After some research, Gemini was also the best price. Chris responded to any concern that I had and did follow up to be sure I was satisfied. He is very concerned about his customers and I will definitely refer him to others.

Recent Review: Mark was the best contractor we've worked with in all our years as a homeowner. He was thorough during the estimating process, explained exactly what to expect during installation, took very precise measurements and very communicative while we waited for the lead time of the materials. His installers, Carlton and Andy, were on time every day, professional and did a fantastic job with the clean up. The cabinets and countertop are absolutely beautiful and we could not have asked for a better outcome. We will definitely recommend Mark to our friends and family and be back when we re-do our kitchen. If you want someone you can trust and count on, Mark Renard is that person.

They had to come back to reseal the countertops. They were very good. They were personable and did a good job. The caulking came loose and they came right out to fix it. Their price was affordable and that's why I decided to go with them.

There were some issues but they were very receptive to making the corrections.  The company wanted to make sure that I was completely satisfied which raised my expectations.

AGRANITE PLANET LLC
Granite Planet gave us a very good price for replacing a limestone(!) countertop.  It was a pleasure dealing with them.  They gave us a quote including installation and removing old countertop based on a drawing.  They had a good selection of granite in their warehouse so we were able to select a good one for our kitchen at a reasonable price.  They made it and installed it in about a week.  My only complaint is that they came 3 hours earlier to install it than they said.

ADexter Cabinet & Countertop
It went very well, from the initial consult/estimate, to the time of installation.  All were very professional.  I think they were a little pricier than other installers, but worth the extra amount for the ease of working with them.

CKITCHEN MASTER
I started with Kitchen Master in July of 2015. I have Pioneer Cabinetry and wanted to make a few changes without installing all new cabinets. They referred me to Kitchen Master. KM did some drawings. We decided what we wanted done and they referred us to several vendors to pick our materials. They also included 3 hours with their designer. While I had already picked most of what I wanted, she confirmed the overall look and offered a couple suggestions that were helpful. We signed our contract in December with an end of April install date. I will say the vendors they recommended were very helpful and all companies I would work with again. Especially Witbeck Appliance. Our job was supposed to take 2 weeks, but we decided to do the demo ourselves which was supposed to lop off a day or two. Prior to removing all of our appliances, countertops, sink etc I touched base with KM to make sure we were still on track. I was told we were. Then I touched base with their countertop guy to make sure the timing of measuring was coordinated. He said he could not come out for two weeks. So I called KM to see if we should postpone the job and they assured me the countertop guy was wrong and would be out on Tuesday as scheduled. So we removed everything from our kitchen on Sunday. Guess what? Countertop guy did not measure for two weeks. So in the time frame that our job was supposed to be done, almost nothing was done. We had no appliances, no counters, no sink. It was horribly inconvenient and could have been easily avoided by postponing the job. I called, texted or emailed the "project manager" almost daily. I either got incorrect response, delayed response or no response. Lots of excuses including that he was on vacation. You would think he would tell the client and provide the name of someone else to contact. One of my cabinets came in the wrong size and they installed it anyway. When I tried to figure out a fix with the carpenter he yelled at me, told me to fix it myself and stormed out of my house. They also installed warped crown molding. There were a few other small things. It seemed like they installed things they knew were wrong in hopes we wouldn't notice then got mad when we did. There were issues with the tile backsplash and it had to be redone a couple times. While I understand that things happen, the lack of attention and communication from the project manager, workers not showing up and things not getting done when they were supposed to led to complete distrust of KM and lots of frustration. We didn't want to go home at night see that either nothing was done, or what was done was not 100% right. After 4 weeks and a day of several calls and texts with no response as to when anything would be fixed or finished, I called the office in total frustration. I was told the lack of communication from the project manager is common. In fact, later some of the guys working said he doesn't call them back either. The woman in the office was super helpful, sent out a great guy that agreed with me on everything that needed to be fixed and finished, and everything was ordered. Job was supposed to start 4/25 and be complete by 5/6. The kitchen was operational by 5/27 and complete 8/8. Not quite what we expected. I know a good plumber and a good electrician and a good carpenter. I could have hired people to do the work, managed them myself and paid less money. However, I hired KM and paid a premium to have a manager so the job would be done on time and seamless for us. Ha. That is definitely not what we got. We were supposed to have a meeting with the project manager about issues with the tile backsplash, but the owner came instead. He was able to see some of the issues and we were able to communicate our frustration with the process. In the end, thankfully, they fixed everything and the kitchen turned out exactly as we hoped. It looks beautiful and the final quality of the work is good. Unfortunately it was a very miserable three months getting there.

FGranite & Marble Design
They did not think to check if the cabinets were level. 5 months after install, we have a 6-1/4” crack on an inside corner. When he came out to look at it he said it’s jusr a fissure and normal, so I put a level on it and noticed it is 1/2” out of level right where the crack starts. When I sent him the pictures showing the level and how off it was, he called me and said it’s normal. I said this cannot be normal and asked if they do any leveling before install? He said no, never. He stated that in the 22 years he’s been in business, they have always used “line the cabinets”. I eventually told him he can either replace it or refund it and he arrogantly laughed and thought my 2000$ wasted was a joke. When I told him I’d post the pictures with his business card online he said he would send his guys out to level my countertops, but there’s nothing he would do for the crack itself, and if he saw any bad reviews online he would not even level them to prevent further damage. On top of ther crack, there is a crack from the edge inside the sink, to the hole he drilled for the faucet, which he also said is nothing. This guy has no business installing countertops. They literally lay them, caulk them, and then you’re on your own. They don’t even seal them, so any water or liquid you leave on the countertops soaks in and takes a day to dry! Do not waste your time or money on this guy!

AMichigan Granite Designs Inc
From the beginning to end this had been a seamless experience. I found Michigan Granite Design and Trusted Improvement from Angies List and they both very good reviews. I visited the showroom of Michigan Granite Design and felt overwhelmed with so many choices of granite designs. Abe helped pick out few designs and gave me samples to take home to compare. There was no pressure for sale at all. Next day I had Andy from Trusted Improvement come to my house for estimate and he brought few samples of which I did not find too appealing to my taste. Said that there are more choices at the warehouse but he cannot disclose the location until I sign a contract. I spent few days shopping around for the best prices and concluded that Michigan Granite Design had the best deals and choices. I returned to the warehouse to pick out a final granite design and put a deposit for the work. Abe was very easy to work with and he explained what to expect and how it will be done. Two weeks later I have my brand new counter tops. They were able to cut stones so that I have only one seam for my u-shaped kitchen. They have options to have standard sink or reversed sink. I have a reversed sink which has garbage disposal on right. Other companies want to charge extra to have a reversed sink. All the men that came out to work on the project were very professional and respectful of your house. I will definitely refer them for anyone that wants to replace countertops.
