Recent Review: Carl has been working for me the past six years and this has been the largest project to date.  He did a complete facelift of my rental property updating flooring and carpets as well as painting the entire house.  He also did numerous smaller repairs including replacing bathroom fixtures, exhaust fans, screen door repairs, cabinet base repairs, and roof repairs.  He has been consistently honest and fair with pricing and clear on the work he can accomplish within the timeframe given.  He has been trusted by my tenant to have a key to the property to complete repair work while the tenant was away from the property.  Along with this project, he has completed tile work in two bathrooms resulting in a remodel of both bathrooms.  This remodel project was completed on time with his usual quality workmanship.  I would highly recommend Carl for any project - large or small - and will miss the relationship as this project resulted in selling the property at above listing price.

Recent Review: We had a long-time crack in the floor of the shower stall in our rent house. We thought we'd have to replace the whole thing, but I called Roger and he explained to me in detail the repairing process. I know nothing about fiberglass shower stalls, so a lot of his explanation was honestly lost on me, but I felt comfortable that he knew what he was talking about. He was a little hard to nail down on a time to come make the repair and he didn't always call me back exactly when he said he would, but it was certainly no worse than other contractors I've worked with. He was always very nice. Once he committed to the date and time, he stuck with it and even arrived a few minutes early. The job took him exactly the amount of time he said it would. When he was done, the shower stall looked like new; I couldn't even tell where the crack had been. I definitely recommend you contact him before having an otherwise good fiberglass shower or tub replaced.

Recent Review: Bobby was great! He responded to my initial phone call within a few hours of leaving him a message. He came out the next day and arrived a few minutes early. He was very pleasant and not at all condescending. I felt like he was very honest -- telling me that the cracks I was seeing were cosmetic and had not caused any damage. I had initially only called him out to fix the tub cracks and he had given me an estimate of $100 over the phone. When he saw the cracks he charged me much less to do the repair (I think $45?) and then happily agreed to tend to the rust stains and chipped porcelain in the other tubs. He cleaned up the minor scratches on the kid's tub, left no mess, and even left me with half a bottle of cleaner to use on the faint rust shadows that remained.

Bill Blankenship Contracting
Recent Review: Bill and his team did a great job. They showed up when promised, worked longer through the day than expected due to delays of the city inspector. They removed the old shower, fixed hidden issues by the original builder, and created a beautiful piece that will last for years. Bill kept us very informed on the progress and any complications throughout the build. While the price might seem high to some, it's worth paying if you want someone to be a Master Plumber, that brought our shower back to code, when the original builders cut corners. He took care of everything from start to finish. I consider it money very well spent to improve my home, without breaking the bank.

Handy Dan
Recent Review: The handyman did a good job and seemed very skilled. It was a dirty job, tear out, mold, mildew, but he didn't complain. Part of the wall behind the old surround had deteriorated and he fixed without charging me more and handled it with ease. Would say that the scheduling was a problem. Was never on time, usually one or more hours late. Was supposed to be at my house at 8:30 on the final day and didn't show up until 2pm. Kept calling the office and the rep said he was on his way repeatedly. When the handyman arrived he said they had sent him to another job in the morning. Besides the scheduling difficulty I feel the guy did good work. However, I would be surprised if he was still employed by them, he seemed to change jobs often.

Recent Review: I called Don Lee and Lee's Tile after we had a mishap that caused some damage to our shower.  We had a slight hiccup in communication. However, once we connected, he was courteous, professional and very thorough with his quote. And it turns out, he and I were both going through some difficult personal situations at the time (hence the slight delayed response). As such, he was incredibly understanding and flexible, enabling me to deal with some of my personal matters without impacting the installation of the shower. Professionally, he and Scott (I didn't catch his last name) did a fantastic job. Scott redid the broken pipes, removed the old fiberglass shower and laid down an all tile foundation before finishing the tiling on the wall. They let us select the fixtures and the door and installed them as planned. There was a slight delay in getting the glass door installed, but Lee's Tile subcontracts that work out. And that person was a little behind. As such, the shower was actually completed and usable a day later than expected. However, the quality of the work is superb. The materials are easy to clean and maintain and the finished product looks gorgeous! For Don's courtesy,  integrity, professionalism and craftsmanship, I would definitely use Lee's Tile again and highly recommend them.

MED HandyMan Services
Recent Review: From beginning to end, Michael was extremely efficient and straightforward with his pricing.  After looking at all of the various things that we needed to do, he gave me a price for each individual task.  He had a very professional approach, and his responsibilities were lined out specifically in his contract.  I felt very comfortable with providing MED Handyman Services with a key to the property.  I was amazed at how efficiently he handled the various tasks.  We had had foundation work completed on our house, and that had left a noticeable gap in the fit of the sliding glass door.  We had a different company give us a $2,800 estimate to replace the sliding glass door and the adjacent windows.  Michael took the sliding glass door out and made adjustments to the rollers, and the gap was gone!  That alone saved us $2,800!  I will definitely use MED Handyman Services in the future, and I would definitely recommend them to anyone.  I wish that all service people were as responsive and efficient as MED Handyman Services!

Bill, who sets everything up, not very customer service oriented (unfriendly). I was told that the most experienced was sent to my home to do the installation. The morning that the worker was scheduled, the installer arrived promptly and on time. I received a phone call about 30 minutes later that the installer was unable to handle the job. Bill commented that I was not clear regarding the job that needed to be done. We got off the phone and I located a plumber who would be willing to install the floor only. I contacted Bill again and advised I could get a plumber to install the floor and would the installer complete the installation by installing the remaining 3 sides (back and 2 sides). He said he would talk to the installer and would let me know. To date, I have not had a response. At least I was not charged the appointment fee.

I contacted Roger on April 2nd and explained that we had a crack in the floor of a one-piece fiberglass shower and would like to have it repaired. We agreed for him to come by and take a look on April 6th. After Roger looked at our shower, he showed us that the problem was actually the fact that there was no support for the shower floor other than the drain itself. The original builders had installed the shower without building up any support for the floor. This was causing the floor to move up and down on the drain when weight is applied. Roger indicated that he could repair the existing crack but the floor would continue to crack unless we did something about the support. He explained several options. We decided on an option where small pieces of the shower floor are removed, support is built up under the floor, and then the entire shower floor is repaired. Roger and his son came by on April 12th to complete the work. They were at our home for around 5 hours total. The end product was a sturdy shower floor free of cracks. We were very happy with the end product and felt they did a great job.
