Wise Building Depot has fair pricing and the crew from Texwin was professional and punctual when promised. The carport is great and very well built.

He builds everything from metal buildings to cow pens. He also builds carports and does welding. If there is something wrong, he will come back and fix it. He is fair and does good work.

WE WERE SO PLEASED WITH THE FIRST CARPORT THEY BUILT FOR US IN OUR PREVIOUS HOME THAT WE HAD THEM BUILD ONE FOR US ON OUR NEW HOME.

We purchased this carport with metal shed attached.  The sales person sold us the building with sides that enclosed the entire structure. When it was installed, the installers said we did not purchase the enclosed sides.  The spot where they installed it was not level. Instead of rescheduling the install and letting us get it leveled, they installed a longer post and charged us extra for it.  The whole structure is not level and plumb, which has created big gaps where the metal sheets should be joined. The first big wind is likely going to bring the whole structure down.

FAmerican Steel Carports
I would give them less than one star if I could! Customer service is beyond terrible!! I had never heard of American Steel carports before seeing their lot and signage on #377 thus had no idea they had a website, I call the number that was posted and was told I must come into the office they would do up an order for me. The rep at"Matt Lively Cresson Lot" who rents and sells RVs also asked me questions like how long was our RV and did I want to be able to open the slides while under the carport, I said yes that was a must. Thinking he had expertise in the RV field "big mistake", he filled out all the forms I signed them and paid the deposit never being told that the trusses pricing were the same for a 12ft as all the way to 24ft! I was told construction would be a few weeks out, seven weeks later they called of course while we were away to tell us they were coming in two days, I informed them we weren't home but they didn't care they were coming with no option for a reschedule just they were coming could someone let them on the property. upon returned home we soon realizing the building was to narrow to open the slides, so I call american steel and told them of our dilemma. The customer service lady said it wouldn't be a problem to get them to widen the building and would call me back. That afternoon I was called back by a different rep "Ariel" who to be honest wasn't even slightly interested in helping us and said I should sell the structure and order a new one. That being a ridiculous idea, he said he would look into it and call me back week and half later still no call back! Finally after tracking him down they do not want to exchange the prefab trusses period, I said I was happy to accept half of the blame for the mistake even though I trusted the dealer knew what he was doing when he submitted the order. I offered to pay a restocking fee for the existing trusses and obviously pay for the crew to make the additions. His statement to me was quote "you're not going to like the price I'm going to charge you to fix this mistake", or basicly go the **** away we aren't going to make your problem right. He then informed me that their trusses from 12ft all the way to 24Ft were the same price at $175.00 per truss. He then offered, if I took down the structure myself and returned the trusses to them they would credit me $75.00 per truss and then sell me the proper material at full price. I told them that wasn't remotely a fair offer that they would charge me 900.00 to exchange out the trusses for wider ones he would call me back again. Their final offer today was they would charge $2700.00 to come fix the mistake which is the same price as I paid for the first structure and credit us $100.00 for the $1575.00 trusses we currently have thus we would have a $5700.00 carport. And yes of course Matt Lively stated that all I wanted was a standard size carport, surely you didn't think he would step up and say, yes I remember that I made a mistake and gave the wrong width! Thank you Ariel and American Steel for probable the worst customer service I have ever encountered, I personally will never deal with you again nor will I recommend you to anyone else.

ARafter P Construction
Aside from a tad of a mix up with our estimate in the beginning and a few small fixes, working with Rafter P was fantastic! Rafter P is a kind of company I am happy to put my backing behind. Though our process wasn't without problems, they were good to resolve any of my concerns in a timely manner. We are happy with the work and are thrilled to be enjoying our beautiful new front porch on a regular basis!

I feel like my carport is the nicest one in the city; it came out better than I imagined!  Ron, Ryan, Marlo, and Carlos were easy to work with (friendly, professional, responsive) and did excellent work.  Plano really put them through the ringer with inspections, but they finessed through it all. For my project, OC Construction was a subcontractor of Clients First Landscape Solutions.  Also, OC Construction subcontracted an electrician and a gutter specialist.  There were lots of opportunity for problems, but everything was handled smoothly. I am very happy with OC Construction and would not hesitate to recommend them!

First contacted them by email asking for an estimate. After no response for about a week, I called and left a message. After about another week, I called again and was able to talk to Doug, who said he'd contact Dek, his project manager, to set an appointment. When I didn't hear from him, I called again and was finally able to set an appointment. Doug was always congenial and apologetic for the delays. Dek came and did a site survey, saying he would email me an estimate. He, too, was very congenial and gave me much more information about the job than other providers had. However, I did not receive an estimate and called Doug, who gave an off-the-cuff estimate. I also talked to Dek and, after asking what Doug estimated, he agreed that was about right. I agreed because I liked both of them and the way Dek handled the site visit. We agreed on a date. Dek had materials shipped to the site beforehand and manually moved them because of limited access. He and his crew arrived as scheduled. He did not have a written estimate or contract and was not aware that Doug had agreed to install flashing where the carport met the house. Because of this, Dek did not have the flashing materials on hand. Dek was very consciencious about discussing what I wanted done and how it could be done properly. He was very willing to make adjustments as needed and it was very obvious that he knew what he was doing. He took great pains to make sure all measurements were correct and the structure square. He and his crew worked fast and hard and finished, except for the flashing, early that evening. He told me it would be about 10 days before he could install the flashing because of a big job they were starting the next week. He offered to let me withold some of the payment until the job was completed. I trusted him, told him so, and paid him the full price.. After 5 weeks, I emailed Dek about the flashing and he was very apologetic about forgetting but agreed to come later in the week. However, it rained and that delayed another job, which delayed mine. After about 2 weeks, I called Dek and he said he would order the flashing right away and he emailed me a few days later saying he had it. When I hadn't heard from him in another week, I called him and left a message. When I hadn't heard from him by the next day, I called and left another message suggesting an alternative way to end the job. Dek returned that call the next day and set an appointment to install the flashing. One of his crew arrived as scheduled and finished, doing a good job. Overall, it took about 6 weeks for them to finish the job, which was over 3 months from when I first emailed asking for an estimate. Doug and Dek are good ole boys who do a good job at a fair price but are also good reminders to get everything in writing and don't pay for the whole job until it's done.

Recent Review: The JNT Developers crews are knowledgeable, professional and always exceed expectations. As a property manager I have numerous properties where I am constantly needing repairs done. For most projects I am required to submit multiple competitive quotes for a project. JNT consistently is the best quote. The end result always exceeds the expectations of not only myself, but my homeowners’ associations. Several of my properties no longer request competitive quotes, they specifically request JNT Developers. They have a track record for being honest, punctual, and complete projects as promised ahead of schedule. JNT has a system for keeping you informed on the daily status of your project. They always answer the phone and arrive on site when they say they will. JNT Developers are very flexible and easy to work with; they are always my first call.

Recent Review: We have been in our house for over 12 years. During this time we seldom used the backyard because the access thru the garden (sun) room was not optimal as the porch steps were not standard so the first one was a doozy. We changed things over the years to try and entice us to use the backyard, but none worked. We took out a wood deck because it was mosquito breeding ground and I personally don't like wood decks and we removed a large number of plants which were not native. We tried to use the backyard, but we hardly ever did, it was just there. We were having issues with the aluminum patio enclosure, and I began to think about removing/replacing it and opening garden room out to the patio with French doors to a covered patio. We had several contractors give bids. Elite Contractors by far provided the best vision which resulted in our beautiful remodel. Our porch is built with a gabled roof, using rough hewn cedar for the structure. The concrete patio is stamped concrete textured to look like flagstone. The existing sun room was remodeled with a new ceiling, rough hewn cedar for the baseboards and crown molding, and French doors opening onto the patio which provides easy access to the porch and back yard. The old metal shed was torn down and we had a larger building put in its place; an outdoor entertainment area and a garden shed. After the remodel was completed, we now sit on the porch nearly every day. We enjoy sitting out in the mornings drinking our coffee/tea, and relaxing in the evening watching the bats come out at twilight to eat bugs. I am slowing redoing the landscaping to eventually have a backyard oasis of greenery and stone work. We recommend Elite Contractors for your projects and we would use them again in the future for our projects.
