VERY GOOD EXPERIENCE. BILL ANDREWS PERSONALLY OVERSAW THE WORK. DUE TO THEIR SCHEDULING, WE HAD TO WAIT A FEW WEEKS, BEFORE THEY COULD DO OUR JOB. BUT THIS WAS COMMUNICATED IN ADVANCE. THEIR PRODUCT IS EXCELLENT AND THEIR WORK CREW IS EFFICIENT. WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND.

The team at EADs was terrific from first call to invoice payment. The customer service team member was pleasant and responsive. She moved me over to the sales team and Chris reached out promptly, provided his cell number and welcomed a call over the weekend or evening-- which was terrific as it didn't require I step away from work to keep the project moving. I left Chris a voice mail and he call back promptly and we scheduled his visit within a few days. While Chris was here he was thorough in listening to what we wanted, explained our options and left us with samples to think things over. As soon as we signed the contract (no downpayment required as we chose an item in stock) we went on the list for install. Chris reached back out as soon as a spot was open to get us on the calendar. James was our installer. He was prompt, happy to answer questions, let me know when he had to step away to grab an extra part, and cleaned up fully when he was finished up. Our invoice arrived within a few days and we were able to call in to make full payment via credit card. I'd wholeheartedly recommend EADs and would turn to them with any future fence or railing needs.

AMartin Home Repair and Improvement
Repaired porch railing, repaired a door and hung a lamp for us. His prices are reasonable and his work is excellent. He is a honest person.

Very pleased with results. They explained the options to us, why they were using certain materials, and it was a much higher quality job than another popular carpentry outfit did for us. Not the cheapest option by far, but I would pick them again for anything I cared about being done well.

Perfectly. Cody showed up on time, was professional, and even fixed a loose doorknob for us while he was waiting a call back from the manufacturer of the brackets.

The workers were very sweet and considerate. When working inside they readily accommodated my husband's unusual work/sleep schedule. They arrived early and worked all day. I am amazed at how well they did on creating stair rails that matched the porch's handrail!

AWest Side Home Repair Service
We called for an estimate and Tony came out in a couple of days. We showed him what we wanted done, he took measurements and we received our estimate in the mail a couple of days later. They replaced the outside basement door, replaced the frame on another outside door and fixed the screen door that had been crooked for years. They also put a new base on the porch posts and installed railing around the porch. They showed up promptly on the days they were scheduled and the work was completed in two days. Everything was finished and caulked - looked great. Nothing left behind and our porch looked a lot cleaner than before they came. Tony was very easy to work with, and the crew were prompt and friendly. We would highly recommend West Side Home Repair!

ADonovan Carpentry Inc
The prices he gave me were very fair. He is in the middle of a project right now. My project is small but he has been really good at staying in contact with me to let me know when he has an opening. He quoted me for $380. He is very friendly and professional. He is very approachable. There are also bigger projects that I will ask him to do.

Price I thought was a little high, but I didn't really have time to shop around a lot. They were on time and cleaned up very well though.
Recent Review: We selected Advanced Outdoor Services for the job because of their consistently excellent ratings on Angie's List, and we were very pleased with their work. When we bought our house in the 1970's, it had wrought-iron-type railings on each side of the front steps. They worked well, but twenty years later were rusting out, so we had another contractor replace them with a heavy-pipe railing just on one side. It was more or less functional, but not too attractive, and eventually came loose at the bottom. We decided we wanted to go back to railings on each side, and AOS obtained the black aluminum railings we liked and installed them. The porch looks much more attractive now, and gives us a handhold on each side of the steps. Jeff Luman and his brother and crew handled every aspect of the job, including relocating our mailbox, personally and professionally, and we're pleased with this improvement to our home.
Recent Review: Elsmere Ironworks is extraordinary! Top notch service and craftsmanship. We needed to add a 25 ft. custom curved railing to our patio. I looked at their website, picked out a few examples and emailed them for a quote. I never met with anyone in person until the day that the railing was installed. The measurements were taken while we were at work and I expected something to go wrong, due to the shape of the patio and custom nature of the product - custom measurements almost always seem to need to be adjusted. When the installers started their work, the railing was beautiful and it fit absolutely perfectly - amazing! The railing adds a beautiful finish and character to the patio and is my favorite single feature. I wish I had the need for more of their creations, because they are knowledgeable, creative, professional, and helpful through the entire process.

Recent Review: We received our estimate for the work on March 30th. The price was about 50% more than we were expecting (although, we were not quite sure what to expect). We were told the project would take about 6 days to complete and that they would do whatever it took to make sure we were completely happy with the results. That made me feel a bit better about the premium we paid. Work started on April 11th to remove the old railings. Work did not start on installing the new railings until June 4th. Installation completed on June 18th, but the quality was poor. 46 of the 110 balusters that were installed needed to be replaced as there were sizable gaps between the bottom of the balusters and the stairs/floor. I was told that the balusters would be replaced the following week while we were on vacation. We came home from vacation to find that someone caulked the bottom of the balusters instead of replacing them. This looked awful. The company agreed to replace the balusters, but work did not start on that until August 8th. By August 16th, we were finally done with the installations and fixes. The sales lead was very responsive to my requests, but it was extremely frustrating to have to check and double check their work every time I was told that the job was complete. By the end of the process, I found myself lowering my standards in order to accept the completed work and move on from this project. The quality of the materials that were installed was very good. There are multiple areas where we could tell that skilled craftsmen did excellent work to make our stairs look great. However, there were also multiple areas where it looked like items were not installed correctly or nobody reviewed the finished installation before telling me that the job was complete. This being our only stair project, I don’t have anything to compare it to. However, I will certainly try another company for future stair work and see if the experience is less frustrating to get similar results.
