Reviews in Cincinnati for Countertop Installation
Kathy helped us with selection of a slab and we opted to have them do onsite measurements. After the undermount sink and faucet were in hand, Stone Statements designer came over and finalized dimensions. About a week later the granite was ready and their installation team did the installation and sink mounting on site. We did the tear out of the original contractor grade sink. We did the final caulking and touch up painting.

I looked around a bit at different suppliers and Kemper had the most variety and had representatives more available to speak to us. They seemed a bit snooty, but they had what I wanted so I overlooked that. We ended up finding a slab of granite that was already discounted so we got it for a great price. We also purchased tile for our backsplash. I put a lot of faith in their design ability (matching the tile with the granite) and I might not have as much faith in them the next time even though I'm happy with my selection. The installer was the best part - very professional and timely. We had a sealing problem after a while and the installer came back out and resealed it for us - no questions asked.

Stone Statements were very nice to deal with. They have a large selection of granite countertops to choose from. The installers did a very good job and we are very happy with the results. We would definitely use Stone Statements again.

Our experience with Cincinnati Stoneworks was positive every respect. We visited their showroom twice to pick out a possible replacement for our laminate countertop, coming home with several samples and settling on one (quartz). The installation crew came out about a week later to do measurements and, within 10 days, returned to install the countertop (mounting the granite composite sink that we supplied) and carry away the old countertop and sink. The installation went very smoothly and was completed within two or three hours. I had opted to do the faucet, disposal and plumbing re-installation on my own and learned later that the faucet I purchased required extenders because of the combined thickness of the sink and countertop. When the extenders were delivered several days later, I discovered that the mounting holes in the countertop weren't large enough. We gave Cincinnati Stoneworks a call and the installer was back at our house within two hours to enlarge the holes. To say that we are pleased with our experience would be an understatement. The total cost was in-line with estimates we received from other places, so can't say that price was the determining factor. However, their service and responsiveness along with reviews from other customers led us to move ahead. Their staff and installers were friendly, helpful, and accommodating at every step of the process. The fit, finish and appearance of the new countertop is great.

DFACTORY DIRECT COUNTERTOPS
A comedy of errors. The morning of our install as we waited for FDC to arrive, we received a call that they had accepted delivery awhile ago of the wrong color sink and that it would take 1-2 weeks to replace. A day off work was wasted. The replacement sink had a crack in it, which they installed anyway saying they would replace it later. Two addt'l sinks arrived with cracks. FDC finally installed a good sink, but when tearing apart our kitchen countertops to get the sink replaced, the countertops didn't go back on with the same seamless look that we paid a large premium for. The plumber they assigned to our install job scraped/dinged a new expensive appliance in the course of removing our old sink, and FDC said they aren't responsible for their subcontractors and that I'd need to deal with it. (This same plumber also backed out of our driveway and knocked our mailbox of its post, throwing nailed-down house numbers into the street. He was to put it kindly a bull in a china closet).

They were great. They worked with me on the original price and then I decided to have them do more countertops and they were willing to add that work onto the original price and make more time for me. Even with the additional countertops they were reasonably priced. They were cheaper than some of the other estimates that I had received. The staff was very helpful, patient and willing to take their time and answer any of the questions that I had. The crew came out on time and were very careful. We ran into no problems with the job at all. They cut, finished, and installed my countertops. They turned out beautifully.

CCountertops and Cabinetry By Design
The day before scheduled installation, the company called to reschedule because the material had not come in. Of course by then all the existing countertops and sink had been removed so we had no kitchen to use while we waited. After installation there were a number of issues. 1) The main counter was fabricated over 1/2" too long so they cut a hole in our wall and poked the counter into it so it "fit". 2) One of the seams on the main counter is flush to start but by the end of the seam there is a gap which they filled with epoxy, but it is very noticeable. 3) Two of the shelves have notches in what should be a straight cut. So instead of fitting flush against the walls, they have a gap. All of these issues are the result of miss-measuring or miss-cutting and result in a sloppy appearance. We contacted the company a week ago and they asked us to send them pictures (as opposed to sending someone over to actually look at the problems). We have not heard back from them since. Update: The company finally responded to our concerns and sent a representative out who replaced one of the more unsightly slabs - so I changed the overall satisfaction rating from D to C. He said that they had switched from cutting the stone using an NC machine with a router to using a water jet cutter, and they were having some issues with it. I would recommend that customers wait until they get things figured out before they hire them.

ACountertops by Nathan
Excellent, we could not be more pleased. We hired Nathan after multiple issues with 2 other service providers (big box stores) to do a kitchen counter replacement. We were impressed with his knowledge, his high service level and his overall consultative advice and expertise. Very fair price and his team were friendly and professional. Nathan worked with us regarding a few challenges we faced with the countertop we chose, he was honest and willing to partner with us. We were most impressed with his patience and help. This was a minor refresh with some issues and he gave us great service despite the fact this was not a major project for him. In a day and age when good contractors are hard to find, Nathan and his team renewed our faith in honestly good workers. Most importantly, he was hand in hand managing his team the day of the installation right in our kitchen. His ownership and confidence were impressive. We really appreciated all the effort and quality work.

ACountertops and Cabinetry By Design
Everything went extremely well. When we bought our home, the sink was cracked. I tried to get more than one estimate but Coutertops and Cabinetry by Design was the only company interested in quoting the project. The day of the install, the owner came along with the installer to make sure everything went according to plan. They had to cut the old Corian sink out of the countertop. The process was very dusty due to cutting out the old sink and sanding the countertop but the end product was well worth it. I love the new sink and faucet and the countertops look brand new.

Sent 3 emails to Stone Design via angie's list detailing what needed to be done and attached a diagram with the dimensions of the island. Received no response. Contacted them on their website via email with all the details and again, no response. Finally called them. They said their email address wasn't working and they were in the process of changing their website and gave me another email address to use. Sent them the same info again and they responded this time. They asked me to take pics of the current countertop so they could see the color. I have a 5s phone that doesn't take great pics so I asked them to check the internet which shows numerous pictures of the quartz color (it used be a very popular color 8 yrs ago). Waited, and again, no response. Sent them a follow-up email, reminding them that I would like to have this job completed asap. Again, no response. Sent them another email asking them if they were at all interested in the job, Again, no response. I have given up.
Recent Review: I decided to get the work done in two phases. Phase I began August 13 and included installing hurricane-impact windows and doors and was completed on schedule in 5 days. Phase II began October 7, was the major portion of the remodel, and was completed ahead of schedule in 6 weeks. I couldn't ask for a better contractor and am extremely pleased with the professionalism and quality of work. I pretty much had all my details worked out in advance, so all the ordering of cabinetry, countertop material, etc. went quite smoothly. There was hardly a day when some kind of work wasn't in progress. I would highly recommend Total Home Contractors for all your remodel needs. Note: I purchased the kitchen appliances, faucet, and ceiling fans myself and the contractor installed them as part of the project.
Recent Review: Dave Carver came out to my home. He understood completely what I wanted to do and what my budget was. I then met him at his showroom to pick out granite, backsplash stone, undermount stainless sink, faucet and new cabinet knobs. Dave communicated often with schedule availability and install dates. All dates were met. The workmen arrived on time. They were very professional and friendly. I would definitely use firm for any future projects.
Recent Review: Everything went all right. It was finished, as promised, in one day. However, the next day I noticed that there was a white film on the wooden cabinet doors. They sent out a technician who took a picture of the doors with the film on it. He then cleaned the cabinets and at my request used Scotch gold polish on them which he did not have to do. They look fine now.

Recent Review: They were very professional, helpful and responsive in answering questions and giving us a quote. In the end, we decided not to repair the countertop and sink but replace it entirely. as the previous owner installed it and it no longer fit our decor. Even though we didn't use them to make the repairs, we were very impressed with their customer service.
Recent Review: The experience was exceptional from the initial measurements, proposal, countertop and tile backsplash selection and coordination with the appliance delivery. Steven, Megan, Greg and Shayna were very professional, easy to work with and responsive to all of my questions. I would not hesitate to work with them again!
