Unbelievably poor experience. First Contact 3/11/2011 (1 1/2 years ago). 5 different estimates for the job, even though I was specific about what I wanted (replacement windows, sills, shutters, gable vents, bay window rebuild). They added stuff, changed window types, etc. Windows finally ordered, but were wrong model, color, and sizes, even though I requested a copy of the order sheet before they were ordered, to double-check the order. They tried to sell them to me anyway. Windows re-ordered. My request for a copy of the order sheet was again ignored. Window arrived wrong model and sizes, right color. They tried to tell me that the model and sizes were correct, even though the windows looked wrong, measured wrong, and the order sheet atated the wrong model and sizes were ordered. Communication was terrible with calls ignored and excuses made. Wade and Matt (principles) seemed to have multiple family problems as constant excuses. They also could not answer questions about the products and services they were selling. Today, our relationship is finally severed. I tried to give this new company every chance, but they are not a reputable business, in my opinion. 3 things I learned: 1) Anyone can call themselves a business. 2) These are middlemen. They buy from suppliers who buy from the factory. Therefore, there are 3 layers of profits to be made at the expense of the consumer. The suppliers also usually have their own installation teams, so why hire this third tier. 3) Be assertive and don't allow the business to control the situation. They are working for YOU. YOU are paying the money. YOU deserve to get the service the YOU are paying for. Addendum - This company will be notified by Angie's List and allowed a rebuttal (even if they lie). I have the paperwork and phone records to support everything I've written.
