While I think that cleaning the ductwork has made a difference for my home, I would not chose this provider again. I decided to do this after a major home renovation and some knocking in the vents I was hoping would be gone after cleaning. The knocking actually got worse. I was not aware, and this may very well be my ignorance, that a hole would be cut in the side of my ductwork by the furnace. I was only told this upon their arrival so I did not feel I had the option to change my mind. Plus, I had purchased this service through an Angie's List deal. One reason I chose them is because of the many reviews stating there was no selling or pressured up charges. I did not have that same experience. The sanitizor is ridiculously expensive, but I ended up getting it. I wish I had thought quickly enough and said no and sprayed my own sanitizor in the vents. Before they close the hole up, they spray some chemicals. That's it for $99. The next thing was the furnace filter, for which I have no paperwork. They came upstairs with my filter completely filled with debris and huge ball of dust and whatever else. The filter was less than a month old They claimed all the dust had nothing to do with their cleaning. I'm certain it did. As I was now left without a furnace filter and no ability to get to the store for at least a day or two, I went ahead and bought their $125.00 filter. So my Angie's List Deal made no difference. Allegedly, this filter is guaranteed for life and if I have any problems they replace it. Except, I have no paperwork stating this. I just turned my furnace humidifier on for the first time and when I turned it from Summer to Winter, opening up the duct, all kinds of debris fell through the duct from the furnace to the humidifier. I'm certain this is from the cleaning. The final thing that irritated me was that I had specifically asked them to tell me if they found any dead mice or mouse droppings in the home. I've had a terrible mouse problem this year and while the mice appeared to be gone I am not foolish to think I missed a spot. After they left, I noticed that the rugs in the front hall had not been repstacked as I requested. We have two rugs rolled up in the front hall in front of a vent. These rugs are impossible for me to move alone. Then I noticed the mouse droppings that they failed to tell me about, but which were probably the reason they did not move the rugs back.
