Recent Review: My wife and I had received 4 estimates to remodel our kitchen, 1 of the estimates (from Home Depot) was not even a consideration due to their incredibly high price. I was not sure who to call for my kitchen so I signed up for Angies list and started reading reviews. It did not take very long to notice the excellent reviews that written for Rowe Construction and they were located close to my house. I called Ryan and set up an appointment for an estimate. Ryan was on time and knew what he was talking about. His estimate was not the lowest, but also not the highest. Now my wife and I had 3 estimates and we were not sure who to hire. I asked what I thought was a simple question to the 3 construction companies that we were considering ?can you please send me some pictures of some kitchens that you have done?. Rowe construction referred me to their website which is full of photographs of the work that they have done. Ryan also offered references. One of the other companies emailed me the same blurry picture of a kitchen twice and the other provided nothing. We then hired Ryan to do our kitchen. Ryan and his crew were on time every time. I consider myself to be a very ?picky? person. Ryan?s crew cleaned up every night after they were done working and our kitchen looks fabulous! My wife is very happy with the way the kitchen turned out and we have already hired Rowe Construction to do more work at our home. Bottom line is Ryan?s communication was excellent and his company did an awesome job. I would have no problems recommending them to anyone.

FLADER Plumbing & Heating Co.
Recent Review: Of the several plumbing contractors that looked at my proposed work, Flader provided the most complete and most professional written estimate. They were asked to remove a soaking tub and tile surround, replace it with a shower, install safety bars and a comfort-height toilet, and install a hot water dispenser in the kitchen. They accommodated a request for custom tile and a special faucet. In the process of completing the work, they fixed problems they encountered, cleared a drain, and changed valves. The plumbers showed up on time, were very careful, and the bath and kitchen were always left clean and functional. There were no leaks.

Recent Review: From my very 1st phone call for an estimate to the very end, we were and are more than impressed and pleased with Tony. When I made that phone call, I jotted down "good feeling". First impressions, for me, are important. We had gotten another estimate and after the 1st time she was here she kept on making excuses as to why she couldn't make another appointment. After giving her 4 chances (we're extremely forgiving and patient) we figured out that our house wasn't worth her time (our house is very small). Then comes Tony. The first thing I asked him was if our house was too small for him to bother with. Without hesitation he said absolutely not. He did a lot of the work himself and when he wasn't here it was because the electrician, plumber, etc. were here working, however, he always came in the morning to see if we had any questions or concerns. ALL of the professionals Tony employs and who worked on our house were great at what they did as well as being wonderful people. I always complimented Tony on that and his reply was that he only employs people he would want to work on his house. There was only 1 time we weren't satisfied with a job one of the contracted workers did. I texted Tony, he called me immediately, apologized, then called the person who was responsible. The next day the issue was solved by the owner of the business he contracts with. That was at 9:00 at night! My husband and I looked forward to Tony and Diego (his trusted all around talented employee) coming every morning. They ALWAYS were a pleasure to have around. The whole project took 2 months to finish and either Tony and/or his team were here until the project was done. There wasn't any delay in working on our house, even though there were other jobs he was working on. He was committed to starting and finishing until the job was complete. The kitchen and breezeway were both taken down to the studs and completely rebuilt according to what we wanted. He also gave us feedback when we asked him or, sometimes, when he saw something we might want to think about because he felt it would be better to do it another way and there was always an explanation. We are so happy with Tony's work that we are having him give us an estimate on the 2 decks we need rebuilt. There was never a doubt that we would have anyone else do anything that was within his frame of work. The work he and/or the people he employs are precise in what they do, very neat, and always on time. When they were done for the day, it was like they were never here except for the work that was accomplished. Call Custom Remodeling Solution at 847-208-9164. You will not be sorry!

Recent Review: We could not have been more pleased with the service of work. Art always goes the extra mile. We call Art for all of our contracted work. Approximately, twelve years ago was our first experience with Art when he completed a gut and rehab of our kitchen. This rehab involved closing off and opening entry ways into the kitchen, installing drywall, cabinets, electrical and plumbing. Recently, he completed his second major work at our house a gut and rehab of our master bath which involved complete demolition, flipping bathroom and walk-in closet, drywall, tiled shower, tub, electrical and plumbing. He's punctual and very trustworthy. It is a great piece of mind when you can give Art the key to your house and not worry about a thing. What I like most is that he has great ideas and works very well with our interior designer. He also was the one who worked with the village for inspections. He provided a detail estimate and time frame for the work which has always been spot on.

We contacted this company based on Angie's List reviews. They came out and provided a proposal relatively quickly, but it did not include all of the specifics they indicated it would. We emailed back for clarification and never got a response. For a job that was probably going to cost about $40k, their lack of interest was surprising.

AMasters Kitchen & Bath
Marc came to the house to find out what we wanted done and to take measurements and pictures. He then sent me an email with a kitchen layout.   We then made an appointment to go to the showroom to pick out all the materials, like the cabinets, counter top, floor, back splash, sink, faucet and cabinet handles.  This was one thing I liked about dealing with MKB, we went to one place to pick everything out and we didn't have to waste time shopping around.  Once we picked everything out Angel, the computer design guy, put everything in the computer, and there was the kitchen, exact color of everything.  Marc drew up the contract, it was a bit pricey at first, but we did pick out really good materials.  We asked if at the end will there be extras added, saying we owed more money,  Marc said absolutely not.  After reading the contract I did not want the listed pine trim and paint, but Marc verbally agreed that he would have his guys put up the trim we have in the rest of the house, which is oak.  We were told it would take 5-6 weeks.  We signed the contract.  At the start of the project, there was only one carpenter working at our house, Petar.  Petar is an excellent carpenter, he worked slow, but he takes pride in his work, so everything he did was perfect.  We have 3 large dogs, Petar always called when he came and when he needed to leave, to ensure the dogs were in the house, and he didn't do anything that would rile them up.  He always closed and locked the gate behind him.  We knew our floor was slanted, but Petar discovered it also had a dip in it.  He stripped the entire floor and sub floor and had to cut strips in order to level the floor.  That took a while to complete, so I knew that would add an extra week to finish.  I also reminded Marc about our verbal agreement on the trim, he honored the agreement and stuck to it, even when Petar told him how much the trim would cost.  The floor I picked was the ceramic slabs that look like wood.  Laying those tiles took Petar a long time, so that added some more time on.  Petar was finished at the end of 9 weeks.  It took longer then anticipated, but I love my kitchen, I love the work Petar did.  There was only one thing I was not happy with, that was the granite fabricators.  What should have only taken 2 visits took 6.  They came to measure, then they came to install.  When they left, at the seam of two slabs there was a lip.  They had to be called back.  They had to ask me what I wanted done, when they finally returned.  After sanding it down they left tape over the area, so I didn't get to see it until a day later, when the tape came off it was completely dull.  They were sent back to polish it.  Let's just say it is much better, but not perfect.  I am completely satisfied with everything else.  Anytime I called or emailed Marc, he responded very quickly.   I have dealt with a few contractors in my years, and I have to say this would be the first time I would recommend MKB and I would also do business with them again.  If I get my bathroom done I will definitely Call MKB to do the bathroom, and I would ask for Petar.  I gave Price a B, only because it was more then our budget, but my kitchen was worth every penny.  Also Marc kept his word, we would only pay the price on the contract, and that is what we paid.  We were also given a 5 year warranty, which I have never seen a contractor give.

AZigman Construction & Remodeling
We would definatly recommend Zigman Construction & Remodeling. They did exactly what they said they would do. They treated our home/property as if it were their own. They were more critical of the finished product than we were.   We have no reservation recommending Zigman Construction & Remodeling. They will be back to finish our basement.
