My central a/c wouldn't start. I called the company that ususally services my a/c and furnace. The person who they sent told me I needed a whole new unit, he couldn't repair the burned out motor on the condenser. After calling the company to get further information, I was skeptical, since they were trying to sell me a new unit. A friend recommended George, and after calling him, he was there within the hour, worked with an assistant on the a/c for about an hour, and all was well. He said the unit was very dirty and just needed cleaning and a new valve. He even went so far as to shut all my windows before he left. A great guy, great work and reasonably priced. He's on my list of go-to problem solvers!

Called Four Seasons to simply have central A/C recharged for the season. Made appointment for service and was given a five hour window for when theyd show up to do the work. Never showed nor did they call. When I called after the fifth hour, was told tech was on his way. An hour later - six total - still no tech. I then called and cancelled the job.

Very well - From the first phone call through when they finished. When I first called, they explained that with a heavy work load that it would not be able to have someone come out until the following Wednesday. Then they were able to make the appointment based on my schedule. The sales person arrived right on time, explained everything they needed to do including changing the circuit breaker, pipe connectors and furnace coils. He also pointed out what they would reuse. We scheduled the appointment and again, the workers showed up right on time. They were polite, efficient and worked most of the day on the installation. Just before leaving they told me how to maintain the AC. After a long day, they they were just as polite when they left as when they started. Everything went smoothly.

I called and didn't leave a message. They returned my call anyway. That is customer service the way it should be. Great job with that. Arrived when they said they would, identified the problem and effected a repair. They warned me I was on borrowed time and little did I know how short of time I had. The old unit failed again within a hour. I wound up getting a new unit installed first thing next morning and the original service call credited toward the new unit. The techs were great and had us up and going in just a couple hours. Personable, friendly, and straight shooters. Highly recommend their service.

In June of 2013 I selected 3 brands of heating/air conditioning manufacturers to replace my 15 year old units. Then I selected one installer with good reviews on Angie's List for each brand. All-Temp provided the best value so I selected them. We set a date for the installation. On the day and they were supposed to be here I had to call after 2 hours only to learn there had been a scheduling mix up and they wouldn't be here til the next day. Next day I had to call again. This time they said someone had an emergency. They finally came out later in the day. They ran out of time so they only got the air conditioner running. They said someone would be out in a few days to complete the furnace. Since it was June the air conditioning was our major interest. After 2 months I called to check. No one new what had happened but they set a date and came out to finish. They finished the install and we noticed some scratched covers. They said they would order new covers and come out to install. Finally after 6 more months they brought out the new covers and provided 2 furnace filters for my inconvenience. Through it all they were always professional and courteous. In the end installation and the furnace/air conditioner are working fine. It seems they may need to look at their project management skills and ability to follow an order through to conclusion.

Recent Review: He was well mannered, went right to work and professionally installed both units in 2hrs. Now I don't have to worry about condensation draining in the window sills or easy access via the open windows!!
Recent Review: On finding, via a service call, that it was more cost-effective to replace rather than repair our 20-year old furnace and a/c system, we met with the AWE sales rep to learn and discuss options. He courteously and helpfully assessed our needs, answered questions and provided info/pricing on efficient new systems. We made our purchase decison and a few days later, the new system was installed. The installation staff were punctual, professional and thorough. They installed the system in one day, taking care to explain how it and the thermostat worked, provided the manual materials and set up a quality assurance followup visit. We were quite pleased with our interactions with the AWE staff and the professional expertise they displayed as well as th efollowup visit to make sure we were satisfied with the sytem and installation. We had a very good experience with this major investment and will continue to use AWE for our HVAC and other provided services!
Recent Review: I wanted to replace my old furnace and central air conditioner. After doing research I decided to install Trane. I was looking for authorized Trane dealer in my area. Besco Air happened to be one of them. I read about Besco Air in Angie?s list. Based on the positive comments written by various members in Angies?s List I decided to call Besco Air. Mr. Joe Pedota came to visit my home and see what kind of furnace and AC unit would be good for my house. I had lot of questions. Mr. Pedota was very polite and answered all of them to my satisfaction. I was very impressed by his sincerity. Although his price was not very different from other companies I decided to go with Besco Air because Mr. Pedota seemed to me a very honest and caring person. He came during and after the installation. I am very happy with his service. The technicians who came to install the furnace and AC did a good job. They came on time and finished the job in one day. My experience with Besco Air has been positive. I will recommend them to other people
Recent Review: I noticed that the furnace for the second floor of the house had died. I called Lifeline based on the other excellent reviews I had seen on Angie's List. I called on March 7 and was able to set up an appointment for an inspection for the same day. The technician, Joe, was punctual and polite. One thing I immediately noticed is that before entering the house, he put plastic booties on over his shoes, which I really appreciated. Joe took about 1 hour to look everything over. He called me up and showed me exactly what was wrong with the system (actually multiple things were wrong). There was water/condensate rather copiously leaking from the secondary heat exchanger. There was also rather extensive corrosion of both the primary heat exchanger and the secondary heat exchanger. This was causing the gas flame to not be drawn in to the primary heat exchanger as well as it should have been. This in turn was causing overheating of the frame of the furnace. He actually showed me the corrosion with this cool flexible scope. He also showed me the abnormality with the flames as well as the water that was rather obviously leaking. Since the system was 23 years old (was the original system that had been installed when the house was built) and given what was wrong with the system, he suggested just changing the entire system. He did not try to up-sell me on anything. I agreed with him. He didn't pressure me. He answered all of my questions clearly and thoroughly (and I had a lot of questions). He also did not try to sell me a system that was too large or overpowered for the space. He also gave me several options in terms of the level of efficiency of both the AC and the furnace. He was honest about what he felt was worth paying for and what was not worth paying for. I settled on a 16 SEER 4 ton AC and a 95% efficient dual stage 100,000 BTU furnace. The central humidifier was also replaced. I thought that I would have to wait a while for the installation, but surprisingly he said they would be able to come the next day to do the installation. We firmed up the appointment for the installation. He explained that they would need a 30% deposit and that the remaining 70% would be due at the time of completion of the installation. The installers arrived the next day at 10 AM. The installers names were Brandon and Anthony. They were very polite and introduced themselves. They also put plastic booties on their shoes before coming into the house. They took them off when they exited the house and put them back on when they entered the house. They must have gone in and out of the house about a hundred times and they did it every time. They laid out tarps along the entire path that they would be using in the house. They were exceedingly careful when moving things in and out. They cleaned up after themselves when they left. Everything was immaculate when they were done; there was not a spot on the carpet, a scratch on the hardwood, nor a ding on any wall. They also hauled away all of the garbage (including the old furnace, AC, and humidifier). They took about 10 hours to do the job. Brandon explained to me that things were taking longer because the furnace was located in a closet. This meant that there was only enough room for one person to be working at a time in the cramped space. Brandon gave me multiple updates throughout the day. He showed me the final product. He answered all my questions politely and throughly. He was also training Anthony and I could hear that he was being polite and courteous with him as well. I was very impressed. I would definitely call Lifeline again for any HVAC issues.
Recent Review: Overall this was a very positive experience and I will be calling them again for my repair needs. I sent an estimate request from their website and received a call a few days later from the scheduler. I discussed my project needs and was given a very clear explanation of how the scheduling and repair process works as well as pricing. I was able to schedule my repair within a relatively short time (within 2 weeks) at a time that was convenient with my schedule. I received a confirmation call the day before to review my project plan and answer any questions. On the day of service, I received a call in advance from the handyman advising that he would see me at the appointment time. He was very prompt. All the work was performed in a timely and careful manner. He was very careful to clean up afterwards and was very friendly and professional. He had all the tools/materials he needed for my job so no additional trips to the store were required. I will definitely use Handyman Matters again and will start making a new to-do list today. It's so much easier to have someone knowledgeable come do the work than to try to figure out how to do it myself!

Recent Review: It went very well. The fan motor on the compressor for the old unit failed. Also, the capacitor was failing. The old unit was 12 years old. So we decided to just install a new unit. Freedom had a crew out later that day and completed the installation by about 5:00PM. All of the crew were friendly, courteous, and conscientious. They gladly answered the questions I had regarding the new unit. They cleaned up all of the areas they worked in. I didn't have to pick up anything after they left. I've previously used Freedom for several other service calls, as well as yearly maintenance. I'll definitely call on them again.
