all the wooden trim was dry rotted, the mahogany deck had lost its look Colston replaced all the trim with manmade material that will not rot and needs no painting. The deck was power washed, sanded and two coats of polyurethane were applied

They came out the day following the estimate to paint and power-wash. JBL Painting removed all of the wallpaper, skim coated, and worked with me to choose colors to match the countertop; they also stripped and refinished our back yard deck. They have done a great job! They have also refinished some furniture to match our kitchen cabinets.

Work was performed satisfactorily. First he came to power wash the deck. Then after a week he returned for seal coating.

The men came and performed the work, having to wait in between coats due to rainy weather. They returned as soon as the wood was dry enough to put on the sealant. 'they were very professional and left no mess. Were nice enough to leave some pant in case some touchup was needed later,

LEE WAS WONDERFUL TO WORK WITH. HE WAS SO PATIENT WITH US, ABOVE AND BEYOND THE CALL OF DUTY. WE WERE UNSURE ABOUT COLORS, AND HE NEVER RUSHED US. HE KEPT SAYING HE JUST WANTED US TO BE HAPPY. HE RETURNED REPEATEDLY TO TEST COLORS FOR US. HE COMPLETED TRIM WORK AT THE LAST MINUTE THAT WE DECIDED WE WANTED. OUR FRONT DOOR NEEDED TO BE DONE IN OIL BASED PAINT, AND WE HAVE 4 MONTH OLD TWINS AT HOME. LEE TOLD US HE DIDN'T WANT US TO BE HOME WHEN HE USED OIL PAINT, BECAUSE IT WAS BAD FOR THE BABIES. HE CHEERFULLY AGREED TO RETURN A FEW WEEKS LATER WHEN WE WOULD BE OUT OF TOWN TO COMPLETE THE DOOR. OVERALL, IT WAS AN EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE. HE STARTED RIGHT AWAY AND DID FAST, EXCELLENT WORK. HIS CREW WAS POLITE AND EFFICIENT AS WELL.

ASeal A Deck
I initially found the name for Seal-a-Deck on Angie's list, and was impressed with the reviews. I sent an email to the company, which prompted a phone call from Michael within a day. We talked about what I was hoping to accomplish: make the worn and grey deck that we had look more like it did when it was installed. I had filled out an on-line estimate form, and he gave me an idea of what the total charge would be. But, he also asked me to send him photos of the deck, so that he could refine the estimate. I did so, and he was able to lower the original estimate for the work. The work would involve several steps: a power wash, followed by an examination of the deck and repairing any nail problems, then a staining and - if needed - a second coat. Michael was very clear with me as we talked about what he and his crew would do. He called me the day before an opening arose, and told me that the first step (power wash) would take place the next day, which it did. The person from the company showed up on time, was professional, and did a great job. The power wash alone made the deck look great. I was told that the remainder of the job would be done within a week, which proved to be true. A few days later, a two-man crew came (Michael had called the day before to tell me they were coming) and did the deck review and the first coat. It was a warm day and they told me that it would only take a few hours for the first coat to be dry enough to put on the second. They left, and returned a few hours later for the second coat. They did that efficiently as well, and when they were done, they cleaned up after themselves. All the people I met or spoke to on this project were great and very professional. We're anticipating having Seal-a-Deck come out each year from now on to help us keep our deck looking as fantastic as it does now.

APREP PLUS PAINTING
This is our 2nd experience with Prep Plus. Jeffrey and Ashley worked very hard our mahogany deck and door, which have been a challenge to maintain. Made some good decisions and the projects came out well. Worked on weekends to take advantage of good weather. Emphasizing the preparation makes sense in the long run. Had bad experiences with other contractors who just coated the problems instead of fixing them.

Bryan and his crew are really top notch. We had a small-ish job in Newton and Bryan was able to fit us in the schedule sooner than expected. Not only was the job done really well, there was an issue with color matching due to certain things being closed for social distancing reasons and Bryan worked with us to resolve it at cost. Will be hiring Powell Painting again for sure.

We are so happy with the quality of the work provided. All workers were professional, knowledgeable and courteous. They cleaned, bleached, primed and then stained the wood. Our deck looks beautiful. We look forward to hiring them again!

Paul is just the nicest. He was so flexible with our whacky questions and changes. Work was great and he made it easy.
Recent Review: Right from the start, Andre the owner, was a great help and very knowledgeable in helping us to figure out the best way to tackle the project that we had already spent a lot of time trying to work out the details on. He and his crew are responsive, accommodating, and reliable. The project is almost half way complete and I can honestly say that I trust in this company. Andre and his crew are courteous, informative, and are willing to take the time to explain details any time that they are called upon. They clean up every day and are very detail oriented. One thing that stands out is the fact that if Andre, the owner, notices that something is done to his dissatisfaction, he will completely dismantle and rebuild at his own cost, because he has a strong work ethic, a conscience, and pride in his final product. I am very pleased with the work completed so far and I am confident that the rest of the project will follow the same path. This company was recommended to me from my friend that told me that they would gladly put his name on the line as a result of work that he had done by this contractor for him. After many previous past attempts and meetings with many other contractors, I am so relieved that I have secured such a fine contractor. I recommend him highly and I believe that this is somebody that you can trust to see any project through that he agrees to and that the work will be top notch quality.
Recent Review: Contractor's estimate was best of 3 and one small add on was covered without cost. A second add on of extra power washing was a fair added cost. Crew of 2, sometimes 3, was experienced, pleasant, careful, clean and easy to work with. PAINT - Paint color mixed by Sherwin Williams did not appear to us as a strong match to the color chip in SW's color selection book. All the paint had been bought and we eventually found it to be an acceptable alternative to our first choice. Consumer Reports in 2013 does give this "'Resilliance" form of SW paint a very good rating, but for about $8 a gallon more, the SW "Duration - Flat " product is rated Excellent and adds mildew resistance. For an added est. $80 for the paint, that would have been a useful option for United to offer us. Finished product looks excellent.
Recent Review: I used Durable Remodeling to replace an old deck. Dean and his crew were very professional and the deck came out great. After the deck was finished Dean gave me some advice on how to paint or stain it later on. He is such a pleasure to do business with. I would definitely hire Durable Remodeling again.
Recent Review: Overall, a positive experience, we're happy with the results. Solicited a bid in Sept. '07 but decided to put off the work at that time; John stood by the estimate in May '08 when we proceeded. John was responsive to our calls; the crew came when he said that they would. The crew did a great job, paid attention to detail, cleaned up well, finished the job in a timely manner. John came by a few times to check on things. The job went smoothly.
Recent Review: What a great experience! Dan took the time to prep the surfaces, sand, and seal the deck. They came out on time, there was good communication, and the deck looks like new. I could not recommend them more highly. They were thorough, detailed oriented, and good people! Thank you!!!
Recent Review: Supreme Painters is the best! We have used Supreme Painters for numerous jobs at our house over the last few years, including painting, skim coat, carpentry, debris removal, etc. They do high quality work at a very reasonable price. Lindo is extremely responsive throughout the process and always gives you a reasonable estimate on how long it will take to get the job done. He is very involved and makes sure you are happy at every stage. We call Lindo for everything. I highly recommend Supreme Painters for any general contracting needs.

Recent Review: We needed to rebuild a 10-year-old deck as well as fix a leaking bulkhead that seemed to empty right into our basement. Having had a great experience working with Masonworks before, it was a no-brainer to give Jeff a call and have him spec out the job. We discussed a range of ideas and he came back with original plans and drawings. We initially were leaning towards a Trex deck but ultimately went with mahogany and black iron rails. It looks fantastic. The crew arrived and immediately demo’d the deck as well as dismantled the bulkhead. The bulkhead walls were chipped and cracked and water stained. It was clear that it wasn’t just rainwater dripping into the basement, but also underground water that was seeping in through the porous bulkhead walls. Like our previous experience, the Masonworks team is highly efficient, conscientious and hard working. Both projects were finished within six days and the deck looks fantastic. The bulkhead walls recemented and sealed and the crew installed a small sidewalk that slants away from the bulkhead and house, sending rainwater down the driveway. Despite the torrential storms and massive amounts of rain we experienced this spring, our basement has been bone dry and the deck looks spectacular. Another fantastic Masonworks job. We will definitely work with Jeff and the team again and happily refer them to our neighbors and friends.
Recent Review: The experience with Target painting was positive all around. They are professional, responsive and their quality of work is impeccable. Overall, a great experience with Target Painting and I would recommend them to anyone.
