John and Roberto showed up about 30-minutes before my appointment. They introduced themselves and had already done a quick "walk around" of our building, to see where vents were located on the exterior walls. They wore booties over their shoes, to prevent salt and snow from tracking into our condo. I showed them where all the ducts were located and asked what they needed. It was an unexpected but pleasant surprise that they would also clean the main HVAC unit, and repair any ducts that had come loose in the ceiling. I also showed them the dryer hose and ducting, and they gave me the additional (and reasonable) expense to have it cleaned out. In total, they were here for at least four hours. They were always respectful and nice, and even asked friendly questions, without being annoying. Whenever they found an air register that wasn't properly connected to its duct, they'd show me the issue and how they were going to repair it. The repairs they did were quick but effective and should last for several years - more extensive repairs would be much more costly and timely, so I'm very happy with what they did. They worked thoughtfully through my apartment - from the front to back, and then down the back-stairs, to minimize any potential of additional dust or dirt being spread. They put plastic down around the area that they were working, and there was almost no dirt or debris after they left. Lastly, they showed me the new filter before they started, and then again after they'd completed. It was full of lots of dust and some debris. They told me my ducts and system weren't too dirty, especially considering it hadn't been cleaned in at least four years. I've put all the furniture back after they left, which was the biggest part I needed to do. All the registers have been properly reinstalled, and they removed the dust that collects around the registers. The system is working well, and I'm happy knowing that there's not a lot of mold and dust in my HVAC system! I'll definitely hire EnviroTech again in the future!
