Recent Review: Called Tom on Saturday and he was able to fit me in late Sunday. Came over to discover that our toilet tank had a crack in it an needed to be replaced. Went out to find if they sold a replacement tank but for our brand they did not. Purchased new toilet (which matched our current one) and replaced the tank. Was very informative about some of the does and don'ts on working with the plumbing which will come in hand in the future. His fee included the cost of the new toilet ($88) so for the amount of time he spend helping us believe his price was very reasonable and would definitely work with him again.

Recent Review: Very well - David Barry came out the day we called, which happened to be Sunday on Memorial Day weekend. He was not able to replace the tank then, but took down the details and had a crew with the replacement tank at our house first thing on Tuesday. They were prompt, efficient, and professional; had the old tank removed and the replacement installed within 2 hours. They get extra credit for working in a confined basement space!

Recent Review: We spent $2500 on that service because we needed to replace the hot water tank.  That service went very well overall.  They were very punctual and when we called with a problem they had somebody out the same day.  When they determined that there was a leak they were able to get a replacement tank and somebody to install it within just a few days.  The workman and dispatch man was intelligent, thoughtful, and competent people.  They tend to be a little bit pricey, but it is worth it.

Recent Review: My water tank started leaking and I talked to Stephen and scheduled a date and time to have the replacement tank installed. They showed up on time and were very professional. They were willing to answer any questions I had and also fixed a couple of other minor problems I was having, These were items added while they were there and they willingly took care of the problems. They were very neat and polite and I would definitely recommend them and hire them again.

Recent Review: THEY WERE PROMPT AND KNOWLEDGEABLE. THEY DETERMINED AHEAD OF TIME WHICH WAS THE APPROPRIATE REPLACEMENT TANK, BY GETTING FROM ME THE SERIAL NUMBERS ON THE OLD TANK. THEY DISPOSED OF THE OLD WATER TANK AND CLEANED UP AFTERWARDS. THEY WERE WILLING ADD THE VALVE REPLACEMENT AT THE STANDARD RATE WHEN I ASKED FOR IT WITHOUT NOTICE. I ONLY WISH THAT I HAD SPENT A FEW HUNDRED DOLLARS MORE FOR THE UPGRADED HOT WATER HEATER AS THE NEW ONE DOES NOT HEAT UP AS FAST AS THE OLD ONE.

Recent Review: The "technician" turned out to be the cause of the problem and not the solution. During the annual burner clean out he didn't change the Suntec strainer, he didn't replace the worn out electrodes, he didn't adjust the air flow inside the furnace which was too high, but he did replace the nozzle with the wrong one. It should have been an A nozzle, but he installed a B. So with a weak fuel stream, wrong nozzle, worn out electrodes and too much airflow, my furnace wouldn't light. How do I know this? Because the guy that I hired to fix it after him told me so. He also said that these fixes were all very basic. The guy from Lohrman Heating just kept doing very expensive and unnecessary"repairs" like installing an ball valve to my fuel tank and adding a Tiger Loop to the furnace and walking out my door with checks for hundreds of dollars without fixing the real problems. Stay Away!

Reviews in Boston to Remove Fuel Tank

Toilet was dripping slowly under the tank. Mr. Ellis was available the same day. He came and took a look. He did not give me an advance estimate of cost for the repair and I mistakenly did not ask for one. He installed a tank fill valve and was finished in no time. He was at my house no more than about 20 minutes overall. After the job was done, he said the charge was $160. I thought this was comparatively unreasonable and very high for this small job and brief time spent. I had been expecting something no higher than about $120 and as low as about $80. I asked if he was negotiable given the quickness and simplicity of the job and he said no. Though I was happy with the work, he was abrupt, somewhat unpleasant to deal with and I thought he charged entirely too much for this relatively simple job. I will not hire him again.

As noted above, the initial experience was good, but the follow through left much to be desired. I am now in possession of a pricey hot water heater and have to spend time I don't have dealing with a manufacturer and another plumber. For all I know, he may have left me with an unsafe situation (it's a gas fueled tank), and his lack of response is not acceptable. I have, since he did the work, had 4 people in my circle of friends and relatives ask me for a recommendation on a plumber. I would have liked to have given them Mr. Zeolla's name, but for obvious reasons I could not do that.

APERSONALIZED PLUMBING AND HEATING
Peter's performance was outstanding from start to finish.  Following our initial meeting and review of job scope, Peter proactively visited the town plumbing inspector to discuss some of the job variables.  As a result of his meeting with the inspector, he uncovered some issues that we  needed to address with the town.  If we had not addressed these issues when we did, then we would have been delayed in getting the permit when we were finally ready to get the work done.  Peter showed up when he said he would and he finished the project in the time frame that he told us.  He handled the permit process with the town as well as the scheduling of the inspection from the town plumbing inspector.  The job was done on budget.  As a matter of fact, Peter was the second plumber that we had called to look at this work.  The other plumber was significantly higher.  We were very comfortable and confident in using Peter having read all of the wonderful feedback on Angie's List.  Going forward I intend to use Peter for all of my plumbing needs and I am very happy to recommend him to family and friends.
