Recent Review: Justin was excellent. He came right in and got to work. He was very professional, knowledgeable, courteous and pleasant. The new ignitor was installed in 20 minutes. Very efficient. I found the service fee a little high, but don't know the industry standard. I would definitely use them again! Highly recommend!

Recent Review: Scott and Mike were very polite and professional. They replaced a part on my oven and tested it before they left to ensure that it was working properly. The price charged for the repair was fair and reasonable. I will definitely use Appliance Works of Boston again in the future.

GRAY'S APPLIANCE
Recent Review: Oven had been slow to light, then stopped lighting. I called Gray's at 4:50PM Wednesday and they had a technician (Joe) here Friday at noon. Joe was extremely quick and also explained everything he did so that next time I could do the job myself. It is a ten-minute job for an expert but would have taken me an hour and a half. Now I am confident I can do the next one in ten minutes. Joe even took the time to point out the right part number on the service ticket. And the oven light is quicker than it has since we moved in six years ago. Joe also pointed out which parts of the job could be tricky if I wanted to do it myself. He was also extremely friendly while remaining professional. We have used Gray's repair once before and I can't say enough good things about their service people! Another point: final price was within $5 of initial estimate (I did not know the model number when I first called).

ESSENTIAL APPLIANCE
Recent Review: Left me with non operating oven. After 30 days in that state the manufacturer finally stepped in and fixed my 11 year old oven at no cost under warranty. Essential Appliance was uncooperative and non responsive with Fisher Paykel the manufacturer, which is what ultimately caused them to fix my oven at NC.

NEW ENGLAND APPLIANCE
Recent Review: I have a Home Warranty with AHS and the Home Warranty company called A-1 Appliance to come out and do my repairs.  A-1 Appliance told my husband many parts were needed and would be ordered and they'd be back in touch to schedule the next visit.  I heard nothing by 4 days later so I called the AHS and they knew nothing.  It turns out  that A-1 does not work on "sealed systems" but they did not convey that or anything else to my Home Warranty Company who also dropped the ball.  They next called New England Appliance Repair who came right away and also told me they needed many parts.  Instead of waiting days and days, N.E. Appliance expedited the shipment of the parts and they're return to my home so that within a couple of days the repairman Bill was back here repairing not only my refrigerator but my wall oven as well which was way off temperature.  I will tell AHS in the future that I only want to use N.E.A.!

ASame Day Service Company Inc
The service tech called before he arrived and showed up exactly when promised. The control panel on a double wall oven was pushed in and needed replacement. The unit is approx. 12 yrs old and is no longer manufactured. What parts are left in supply are outrageously priced ($650.) The service tech (Kim) correctly assumed I wouldn't be interested in spending that much money when a replacement oven would cost just a fraction more. He managed to "McGyver" the panel back together and make it functional, giving us time to consider our options. While he was here I had him look at a gas cooktop that was sparking randomly. He spent an additional 30 mins. working to clean out both the burners and the jets and instructed me on how to maintain them safely. Because he was not able to fix the oven's control unit he only charged me for a service call and didn't include the work he did on the cooktop.

We never heard from them to schedule service. When I called after never receiving a schedule date, he hasn't even bothered to read the contract. He PROMISED to call by the end of the day. Nothing. When my warranty company called him to schedule the service a week later, (after I complained), he simply stated he wasn't interested. What a waste of time. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL.
