Mike was unable to come immediately when we called about our broken sewage ejector pump, but was up-front about his earliest availability. He also recommended that even if it was only the float switch which was broken that we replace the whole pump to avoid paying for labor again in the near future when the pump itself eventually wore out. Mike arrived promptly, gave an honest estimate for the pump and his labor, and was very tidy (despite this being a messy job!). Ultimately, the project costed a little more than we expected, but this was due to the size and cost of the pump, not Mike's labor (which was exactly what he had quoted). And most importantly, everything is working properly! Mike was a professional, and offered to do some estimates for some other projects while he was here. When we get to those projects we will definitely call him back!

The technician replaced a sewage ejector pump in our basement. He worked through raw sewage and performed magnificently. He was clean and thorough and left the area he worked in as well as the area around the collection tank spotless.

I called at 2:00pm because the alarm sounded indicating the sewage ejector in my basement was in trouble. I had tried a number of other plumbers, none of whom were available or willing to take the call. These guys responded immediately - came within the hour - were friendly, professional, answered a couple of questions I had and checked and cleared the ejector (luckily, nothing more than some wet toilet paper up against the switch). They were pretty expensive, but most plumbers who offer 24 hour emergency service tend to be.

Porter plumbing is our "go-to" guy. Our funky, 100 year-old duplex has had more than a few issues with the plumbing, and he's proven reliable at diagnosing and repairing all, no matter how big or small.

They had to make 2 trips, the first trip was to diagnose the problem and they arrived within the time that they had scheduled. The second trip was to install the sewage pump. They had an emergency situation the day of the appointment and needed to reschedule, but they did communicate with me prior to the appointment time and made sure that we rescheduled for another date and time that was convenient for me. When they returned the second time, they arrived on time, was very professional and made sure that they cleanup any mess that they might have made and even took off their shoes, so that they would not track any dirt or water through the house. Which I thought was very considerate of them.

Contacted John in late June by leaving a voicemail with a short description of the problem. He got back to me quickly, pretty much nailed the cause of the problem right there and in general sounded very knowledgeable and professional. We both had vacations coming up so actual appointment was on 7/31/09. He called in advance to let me know he's coming and arrived on time. Did the work quickly and accurately, making sure not to mess up the room. Added extra joints to the plumbing fixtures so that future repairs could be done faster (sewage pumps last only 5-6 years on average...). John charges 95$/hour, so he's probably not the cheapest you can find, but I believe it was totally worth it. Total cost included 3 hours of labor and cost of extra fixtures (I bought replacement pump myself). Absolutely would hire him again.

It went very well. I talked with Chip and told him our water was out and the symptoms we had. He said he would send a crew out but that they had a couple of the calls to do first. He said they would call when they were on the way to our place, and they did. I called at a little after 7AM and before noon the new pump was installed and working. Doug and Joe checked first to make sure that is wasn't the pressure control that went bad but it was fine. When they checked the current for the pump was drawing they could tell the pump was bad. After they removed the old pump they replaced with one better sized for our well. The old one was bigger, and more expensive, than our well required. They checked the pressure tank too because it was 25 years old but found it to be in good shape but also showed me how to check to make sure the bladder wasn't leaking. They showed me how to check to make sure the last of the sediment was clear before turning on the water for the house. They cleaned up after they were done and said to call with any questions at all. They we very professional and knowledgable. Eventually the pressure tank will go and when it does I will be calling them to replace it.

I'm new to the house I currently live in (and well water systems in general). I originally called County Pump to look into what I thought might be a problem with my well pushing air into my plumbing. Two friendly and knowledgeable guys from County Pump came on the scheduled day and checked things out. There didn't seem to be any air coming from the well, but while they were there I told them that the pressure range for my system was set a little low and too wide (30-60psi). They said that I would need to replace the pressure switch to provide the proper pressure range of 40-60psi. Since I was already paying for the first 30 minutes anyway, I agreed to have them replace it and the overly corroded pressure gauge while they were at it. They also checked the air pressure in the pressure tank and properly set it. I was very pleased that they got everything done in 30 minutes so I didn't end up paying more than I had already planned. I also really appreciate that County Pump doesn't charge for a and quot;service calland quot; on top of an hourly rate. They were professional, thorough, and quick with the work they did. I highly recommend them and I will definitely be using them the next time I need my well system serviced.

In the middle of the winter we had problems with tree roots clogging our main sewage drain. We needed a solution that would allow us to reroute our sewer lines through the storm drains. (this is OK in West Roxbuy because the lines go to the same place). Justin was very thorough and clear in explaining what we needed to do. He designed the solution and provided work arounds when necessary. Although the work took them longer than they had expected due to some site complications they stuck to our agreement and completed the project on budget. Overall I found Justin to be an intelligent, honest, forthright and hard working individual. I recommend his services without reservation.

Recent Review: I want to express my sincere appreciation for the team at DryCrete, especially Jason, for giving my family and I the much needed confidence and peace of mind in our new sump pump system at our home! We live in a very wet part of town in Needham, MA where our pump would run 3-4x per hour…daily. Our original pump that came with the house worked fine however it was very loud (the thump from the valve was driving us nuts) and did not provide any info on the pumping activity or send any alerts informing us of any issues with the pump and rising water level. Jason understood how important having a reliable and quiet pump was to me and my family and handled the installation himself! He was very professional, diligent and friendly throughout the entire process both onsite and with follow up dialogue over phone/text. Thanks to Jason and the team at DryCrete as well as the PumpSpy system, we now have a robust and reliable pump management system that gives me all of the info I need via an app on my phone, alerts me of any issues should anything happen and best of all, it’s so quiet that we can’t even hear our pump running!! THANK YOU!!

Recent Review: We called with a sump pump failure. They came out within hours to assess the problem. They brought the right replacement equipment and had it installed and fixed by the next morning. So the job was assessed and complete in less than 24 hours of when we contacted them. They were happy, polite, and friendly. IT was great they were so fast in response to a yucky and smelly problem. Very professional - we will use them again.
Recent Review: After 24 years, our well died. The original installer had long since retired and closed the company so I found Steven Sontag on AL. He answered the phone, on a Saturday morning at 10:30, on the second ring. With the information I was able to provide, he determined that a new motor, and likely the pump as well, would need replacement. Unfortunately, the motor/pump combination I had was rather unusual and would need to be ordered, i.e., he did not have one in stock. When it arrived, he came out the next morning, pulled the pump (sitting at 400' down) and confirmed immediately it needed replacement. A professional aspect to this was that he clearly demonstrated why replacement was warranted. The entire job took just under three (3) hours. He even made several suggestions about the set up of my sprinkler system that appear to have improved its function. Steven and his son were professional, efficient and courteous. I have no reservations about having him return if there problems in the future or recommending him should one of my friends or neighbors need well service.
Recent Review: We developed a hot water circulator cartridge leak 48 hours before a walk through for a new owner for our condo. We called 4 plumbers no one would come out because it was late Saturday afternoon. They would come on Monday. Monday was the walk through. I called TTC and John responded came out did not have the part but made a call and came out on a Sunday morning to do the repair. My husband and I were so relieved and grateful. The cost is the only reason I gave 4 stars. John explained the reason for the cost being that repair was done outside regular business hours. John was our guardian angel and we are so grateful. Thank you, John.
Recent Review: Showed up during the first of the March rainstorms after water was rising in our basement. We had just moved in a few months ago, not realizing that the undersized sump pump drained into a ripped hose, so the pump water ran outside along the foundation back to the basement door. This was day three of the storm (hardware sold out everywhere), and he worked for two hours in miserable conditions (cold, windy rain) to hook up a system of PVC pipes that would take the water from two pumps away from the house into the street (past the neighbor's driveway) towards the downhill storm drain. After he was done the water stopped rising in the basement at ~ 15 inches and started to go down. By noon of the next day we saw dry floor again.
