Newotonmore Construction
Recent Review: 2nd Time we have used Nick MacPherson and his Newtonmore Construction.  First time was 5 years ago when we had them do some repair work on a screened deck and make a big room in the basement into two rooms for a home office. This time we remodeled our kitchen and two upstairs bathrooms.  We moved from builder grade (crap) cabinets to custom built cabinets in the kitchen and home depot procurred high end cabinets in the bathrooms.  Nick advised us on subs as well as doing the primary tear out and some install.  We ended up going with Nicks' recomendation for the custom cabinets, Southern Cabinet Works, and were very happy.  Nick knows the right people and has no issue getting you kooked up with them. We used Mega Granite of Newnan to do all the granite work and they installed the sinks. step1 Newtonmore tore out the existing cabinets in the kitchen and ripped up the linoleum flooring including the underlay.  He then layed cement board for the new tile.  This included ripping out a panty so we could replace the frame/drywall pantry with a custom pantry cabinet.  He also prepped electircal outlets for inside the cabinet (I installed LED's inside the panrty and under the main cabinet run after). step 2 Southern Custom Cabinets then came and installed the cabinets.  Mega Granite came and installed the granite and sinks. step 3 Nick's tile sub completed the kitchen floor in porcelin with a pattern (all but 2 tiles had some cut) and did a range backsplash step 4 Nick installed all the appliances step 5 Once the kitchen was complete, Nick moved onto the two bathrooms.  He did these completely, tear out, tear out of flooring and concrete board prep, his sub tiled, and he installed the cabinets. step 6 His sub came in and did the bathroom floor tiling and Nick installd and connected the plumbing. step 7  This was the only real issue we had.  Nick was great in helping us time out his work with the cabinet people, granite people, nd his tile sub, but then he had a couple of big jobs hit and it was about  30 days before he could get back to finish the trim out.  We didn't really mind as he was so good about working around our timing when we had no kitchen and had no bathrooms.  he was defiantely there when we needed him! step 8 He finished the trim out and did a repair job in the garage (where I had put a foot through the the ceiling. I would definately hire Nick again for my next job.  He is a small company that does excellent work and I have come to really trust him.  He says what he is going to do and does it.  You don't find that with many construction guys! I highly recommend.
