Reviews in Atlanta to Install Geothermal Heating

ACoolray Heating & Air Conditioning
I was interested in both geothermal and heat pump quotes. Martin came out and thoroughly reviewed my site and went over the details and options with me (which can be confusing for geothermal). I got a pretty good education on the geothermal, but it's not worth it for my size house. Martin was very professional and prompt.

We are happy with them. They were professional. They gave us a detailed budget and they stuck to it. We wanted a particular kind of crew working on our system and they adhered to our conditions. We had a geothermal heat pump system installed which is a pretty new technology. They did everything professionally and within our budget. They had some issues with the timing. They were delayed but they kept us informed on why the delays were occurring and we were okay with it.

He had to research the available units and find one that would fit in the existing space of the old one. The make and model I had planned to use (the same brand as the existing one because it had lasted 26 years) was too big for the space. He researched available makes and models and found one that would work, and ordered it. It took two weeks to get it in, but he had told me it would be installed by Thanksgiving, so he and his crew were here most of the day the day before Thanksgiving Day and got it installed before they left. Every thing was cleaned up and they hauled the old unit away. I am very happy with the service and the work preformed. I highly recommend them. I know Tim personally and he is a very religious and ethical person and would not cheat anyone.

One was not cooling properly and they put in freon. The other one was working fine and they checked the temp of the air. No guages were hooked up to the second system. No other testing was done on either system.

It was very good. I had a geothermal unit which was a little bit of a unique thing rather than the standard heat pump and they are one of the few people in the area who understand how to handle it. They were able to tune it back for me with no problem.

If you have a GEOTHERMAL SYSTEM this is NOT THE COMPANY FOR YOU!  My unit was serviced its 6 month service (I had bought the maintenance agreement) on Monday, 1/28/13 and then it went out on Friday night, 2/1/13.  I called Premier Saturday morning and they were quick to come out and take a look but Mike was not the most friendliest tech.  He was here about two hours and said that he didn't really know what was wrong b/c he didn't know what the codes it was flashing meant and that he needed to do some research.  He also told me that it was probably the circuit board and that he couldn't do anything about that until the weekday and it would be expensive to fix.  He did leave my unit on emergency mode which keeps it somewhat comfortable (around 68 degrees) in the house but it also left the unit blowing this air 24/7 for the next two days.  With no directions from Mike I called Jesse (whom I normally deal with and really like) on Monday afternoon and asked if I needed to set up an appointment to get my unit working properly or were they going to get with me when they got done with their research, he told me that he didn't know anything about my call that he would have to get with Mike.  He did call me right back but sounded annoyed!  He told me that Mike was busy doing service calls that day and that I needed to give him time to look into my problem and that Mike would call me back as soon as he had time to look into it.  Well here it is on Thursday 2/7/13 and I have never heard back from either one of them!  Yesterday, 5 days later...my poor unit was still running 24/7 trying to keep us warm and no telling what my power bill is going to look like....I called another company out of Jasper, GA.  They came out, were here for 4 hours and had me fixed up and running again.  It wasn't that expensive circuit board that Premier was going to try to sell me, it was the heater pump and was only a $400 problem.  I am just really disappointed in Premier and their customer service, I didn't expect this kind of treatment from them.  So please think again before you use Premier for your Geothermal System needs.

I was seeking a H/VAC company that had past experience with a geothermal heat pump H/vac with Hot water. I have yet to find a professional in my area who has installed such a unit. I guess I don't live close enough to the ocean because the wave of the future hasn't made it here yet.

We were in the process of doing a home energy audit to improve the efficiency of our heating and cooling systems. Frank Valhoscame to my home on several occasions to assess what our needs were and gave me a variety of options for us to choose from, which included geothermal, an upgraded HVAC system and and working with our current system. Since our current system was not that old, we decided to work with it and plan for the future system as it ages out. The technicians spent 2 days at my home redoing all the ducts in the basement and installing the new thermostat. They came back about a week later to complete all the maintenance on both systems. They were all very helpful and patient in answering all my questions (and I had many!) and did a great job cleaning up. I felt that I was in great hands with Georgia Air Contractors.

Our experience with them has been excellent. Jeff Bolton spent considerable time with me and my wife, in advance of us agreeing to have him do our work for us, to make us feel comfortable, to answer our questions, to explain the process, to review the pricing, and to do all the fundamental things you need to do before you make an informed decision about hiring a contractor. So, we ultimately decided to use him. Once we did decide to use him the work was done on schedule as described in advance. The quality of work was excellent. The workmanship was excellent. The communication during the process was very good. Follow-ups were good. Everything about the job was done well and the price ended up being as described.  There were no changes in price.  I highly recommend J. R. Bolton Services, Inc.  I doubt that their pricing will be the cheapest, but I can assure you that the professionalism and quality of their work will be superior to that of their competition.

This company had installed our geothermal system a few years back. And the experience has been good. So we had talked to them about a whole house steam humidifier and the price on Angies List was really good and we purchased it. It did not go well to start. The person we had requested had an emergency so they sent other people. They should have called us and told us this before they showed up. These people showed up with a DEhumidifier -- not a humidifier. Fortunately my husband realized their error and we agreed to have then go back and get the correct item and install it. The supervisor assurred us they knew what they were doing. These installers were very nice but they tossed all the items with the old unit and DID NOT know how to calibrate the system. Had my husband not gone online to read the manual and have them leave who knows what would have happened. The unit has to sit in the new environment for several hours before calibrating it so there needs to be two trips with this.  So we ended up waiting for the original person to come out the next week and correctly callibrate it and fix it. However it turned out that we had a good manual humidistat that he would have kept and used but instead the original installers threw it out and we have not been able to get it replaced. We were left with the electronic one but if we have a problem with that we have no way to fix it. The manual one is preferred and we had it so I am unhappy that iy was thrown out and they did not give us another when they realized the error. We should never have allowed the people they sent to install the unit.
